It's been a busyyyyy weekend!
A proof: I've had almost no time to surf! (eeeeeeck)

It's just that I've been working hard (but rilly :P).
I've added a new section in my Gallery: *Illustrations*!

Since I might not be quickly a millionaire just selling my paintings, I hope to get real work one day as an illustrator.
But nobody will ask for me if they don't *know* what kind of illustrations I can do.
It's the problem with the lack of professionnal experience, you've to find ways to convince. And as I am a new born baby in the field of illustration, i gotta find tricks ;-)

For many reasons, illustrating is a very exciting work for me.

The 2 first illustrations you can find below concern 2 classic fairy tales.
Most of my illustrations (but not all) will deal with the worlds of children. Illustrations of fairy tales and books. But there will also be illustrations of myths and legends.

So much to do, so little time!!!!!

(drums on)

Tadaaaaaaaaaa....

Lola has just told me her first *MAMAN* !!!
(dancing around)
(grabbing the rainbow there and jumping around the earth with it)

**~~*^* * *^^* *~~*^* * *

Mom came earlier, bringing a few presents to Lola and a book for me.
Mom never offers me books, that was kinda unusual... As much unusual as the book she offered me.
It's was Madonna's English Roses.

lol !
Yup mom, 53 years old, offering a children's book to her 29 years-old daughter!
I feel like a woman, a mama, a partner, a hard worker, a lazy goil, etc.... thank gawd, mom is here to remind me I'm all that + a child somehow, somewhere :P

Well I was happy because I wouldn't have bought it. Yet, I was interested in it because ok, I'm an ooooold fan of the Goil since aaaaaages (yup yup)... and I'm now a kind of children's books writer...! Professional curiosity, see!

Hmm, I've not read it yet, but the topic does not interest me at all (about a lil goil too pretty to get friends... -rolling eyes-).
The drawings are nice, but more like *fashion drawings* than anything else.

Anyway, mom went on telling me "You've noticed, Madonna is not provocative at all anymore with her children's books"!
Argggg, my mom talking of one of my teenage years' idol.
It's like... there are words you don't like to hear from your parents' mouff. Like sex stuff, or statements about *your* idols (madonna's being replaced by some metallica or s.o.a.d, I think I'm safe now).

I could not help reacting quickly to keep Madonna in *my world* (does that make sense? lol).
"But mom, she's STILL very provocative, she's given 2 big fench kisses to other goils lately!!!"
"Grrrrrrrmmmmmmmmphhhhh"
"See! She's not like a granny yet!!!"

Phewwwww

Yup, I had just reacted as I would have 15 years ago.
hehe
That feels funny to be a *child*!

PS: mom seriously advised me to contact Madonna for the illustration of her next book .... LMAO!!! Moms are unique!
So there hasn't been any big warm hug between W.Bush and Chirac (not that this interests many people, but...lol.. bloggies are made for that too :P)!
Phewwwwww
I truly thought the government would have given up its anti-war position months ago.

Anyway the situation of the UN seems still much fragilized by w.Bush's decision to launch this "unilateral invasion", acting without respecting the UN position.
It cannot work this way. The rules of the game gotta be respected I guess if we want to improve this barbarian world...

But enough of blahblah...: it's really terrible to hear about the daily American and Iraqi deaths overthere. I really hope for them all this gonna stop soon**~~*^*

Somehow, almost a case of sexual harassment because I think the cat has no choice ;-) ... The rat is far too big to be eaten!

Tuesday, September 23, 2003

I'm going to add another definition to the meaning of nightmare.
Well, I knowwwww we've all heard about this. But this ermm... *problem* touches me particularly.

2 millions of little girls in 27 seven African countries are victims of excision and infubilation every year. 130 millions of women live with the terrible experience of female genital mutilation.
I'm sorry to use the words, but to know what we are talking about...

Excision means : removal of the clitoris with partial or total ablation of the labia minora.
Infibulation: excision of part or all of the external genitalia and stitching/narrowing of the vaginal opening.

The goils are usually cut when they're 5 years-old. 5 years-old!!!!

Why? Is it because it's a particular tradition? can we accept that because it's a different culture?
Of course not!
Women are deprived from their right to get sexual pleasures. And worse than having no sexual pleasure, all these tortures lead to a life of sexual pain. And I don't even talk of the disease brought by such sick acts of surgery.

Infibulation is supposed to give more pleasure to the man for it's more narrow.

Gawd, how is this possible.

Usually these acts or surgery butchery are done by women who've been mutilated too in their time.
How can they stand reproducing the nightmare they experienced to other women? ... not even women... no, to children!

I think we should all be behind these African women who're starting to fight against these physical and psychological mutilations. I find such an "accepted" violence particularly unberable.
Not that I'm obsessed with the topic at all, but... I really wonder (without feminist thought here) why the worst criminals or other serial killers are always men (with a few exception... I guess). Why is it so?

A question of strength?
I really find it hard to explain this anyway

Ok, now I've more than 2 months to improve my look: from a mama, I have to turn into mamametal!

I've spent hours today creating a new quizz in quizilla.com... Gawd, it's been so long, but I did it!
It's easy to do (once you get your questions/answers in mind). But the Quizilla's server was down quite often today, dat's why it took me so much time.

Anyway, if you wanna try it, be patient, really patient, while the pages are loading :-)
On Saturday night, I got an email from a Swiss psychologist who's really interested in my paintings.

She kinda fell in love with my Moon Talk, and then thought she could contact me to talk of a project she has in mind.
She's just started writing a book dealing with a particuliar topic linked to her work with children. And she asked me if I could illustrate her book!!!!

(falling from chair)

After visiting her website and re-reading her email, I've just answered I was really interested to be part of this project! :-))))

Concretly, what does that mean?

We're going to check if my illustrations and her text go really together, then we'll make a plan to see what has to be illustrated, how many illustrations will be required, etc.
That does not mean I can hope to get any euros (except if the book get published one day), but I need such projects to get some good experience.

I'm so happy I get a (real) first opportunity!
Woooohoooooooooooooooo**~~*^* * * ^^* *

Here's what's giving me nightmares!
We have this Crime Stories ("infamous criminals" category) stuff on tv since a few weeks.

Each time I watch one, I run all around the flat screaming it's too awful and horrible.
Martin can't understand I watch this if I can hardly stand 5 minutes of it.
hehe

It's just like each time I hope to find explanations (no excuses!) for the behaviour of such or such criminal. I refuse to think that some human beings are bad by nature.
Yeah I'm following a kind of philosophical quest in here :P

But, the facts prove me I'm totally wrong. I got really shocked by how far a criminal could go.
The Hannibal Lecter from the fiction is actually a real lamb in comparison with the real criminals. And just the idea, that reality is much more terrible than the fiction, really shocks me.

I still think we're all born *good* by nature and that the society and inapropriate relationships make someone bad.
But I still get doubts when I see these guys. They rilly look like born with evil in dem.

Anyway, I really prefer to stick to my much more pleasant fictions and I wanna think the only super heroes we need are such ones:

(PS: Martin, it's my favourite Miss Marple, no way I put the one you prefer!!!! hehe)

Friday, September 19, 2003

So they say (again) that the Yeti is not an horrible monster, but just a bear.

...Does that rilly look like "just a bear"?

Tssssss.... and soon they're going to add faeries are birds and gnomes are big fat mushrooms (sowwwy ya gnomes, I did not mean it with the comparison!!!!)

I cannot stand those who rationally try to get rid of *our* reality!
RoaaaaRRRRR

I've got my first -negative- answer from a publisher (I've sent my book to 13 of them).
I cannot say I'm glad to have a negative answer but this one really made happy enough.
It was a personnalized answer and they said they enjoyed a lot the text, found it really "attractive" but the illustration was not in their "ligne d'édition".... not the style of their books.

And I find that very ok!
hehe
Even if the house isn't ours yet, we've already met 3 craftsmen (a carpenter, a roofmaker, a mason)... and it took them 9 weeks to send their (much expected) offers (I hope they work more quickly than they do their offers).
Well actually we have the offers from the carpenter and roofmaker only.

I expected something really expensive, though I have no idea about the costs of the works on a house.
It's expensive when you have nothing to pay (that's why we'll take some time to make the works on the house :P)... but it sounds realistic:

The carpenter asks for 5.500 euros (6.500$, 4.000£, 9.700 AUD) to make the new windows and doors (in wood) + a mezzanine + cutting beams for us to makes stairs (we build what we can by ourselves... well, dat's real new adventure to me :P).

The roof maker asks for 8.000 euros (13.500 AUD, 8.900$, 5.500£) to make a totally new roof with original slates + 2 velux + new gutter.

I don't know how we'll make it, but we'll find a way. Now the most expensive should be the mason (he has to bore very thick walls... 60 to 90 cm thick... for openings for windows and doors + other works I can't remember now).

(running to play lottery)
I'm working right now on an illustration of Perrault's Bluebeard.
I find it kinda hard to create illustration for kids because I found the topic of the wives in the wardrobe with their cut thoat kinda original! lol... I mean I could see there something different to paint. Pretty gloomy, I reckon.

Anyway, I had to get rid of my first idea to focus on a more pleasant presentation. It's a very interesting process.

By the way, BlueBeard is really really scary for kids me thinks!

So far, I think I might be the luckiest mama.
Not because Lola is a fantabizoobistic shrimpette -well not only because of that- ;-) ... but also because I can take care of her while *working* on something I rilly luuuuuve.

When I hear mamas around, some (very few) are happy to be at home taking care of their children, others are forced to work again, others cannot stand being at home anymore and rilly wanna work.

Well I can enjoy work + my baby, isn't it the best cocktail!

Now if my *work* could bring me some euros, that would be kinda kewl..... ;-)

Anyway, as long as I can do it, I luuuve my days spent with Lola, my evenings with my work, and my nights with my other-half!
LOL, when I tell ya I get busy days!!!!
I took Lola to the Green House yesterday :-)))
We both luuuved it!

We're welcome to go there whenever we want.
Each day there's a new team of 4 people (psychiatrists for kids, nurses, etc) who welcome the parents and their children.
I have to *test* each team, but the Tuesday's team was rilly kewl :-)))

The place is organized with one big room with tons (rilly TONS) of toys and a playground outside.
I find it very kewl that parents and kids can enjoy such a special place (the only one in Paris, at 10 min from here!).

It's free but when you leave, they say you can let a few euros if you want to support the Green House. Which I find rilly fair :)))

Tuesday, September 16, 2003

Done! We've signed today the bank's financial plan for the house!!!
Signing = we have the money!!!!!

(faint faint faint)

Weeeehoooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ok, I will really make Paris PURRRPLE once we get the keys of the house (next step now: calling our notary before the end of the week so that he can fix a rendez-vous with the owners of the house)

Sunday, September 14, 2003

I've just finished a new painting which will be the first one of the "illustrations of tales" category.
This category will be more dedicated to children's universe.
I really have to do it if I want to work as an illustrator for kids' books. I have to show what I can do! So I'll go on with it while working on other more intimate paintings :)

Talking of *intimate* (G).... I've had a "professional" offer today. This man, owner from the erotic cinema, said he would love if I could illustrate the libertine poetry he's written.
Well actually, I wouldn't be opposed so much to try more erotic painting. But my hands are not inspired at the moment. And this would require some extra work.

And I've so many projects I'm working on, I've to make choices.
So I refused.

I also refused because.... the *poet* added in his email that he found my "selfportrait" (I had to think twice before understanding he talked of my bio's pic) was rilly lovely.

LOL
Suddenly my artist' ego felt kinda down! hehe

Anyway, however strange is this first contact, I'm glad I got an *offer*. I'm waiting for the hundreds of others :P
I've missed another auction... I arrived 15 minutes late!!!!
BUT
We went to a secondhand trade... and there I met 5 kids selling stuff, including 2 Sarah Kay's books!!!!

I asked the girl how much she asked for dem (I was ready to give 10 euros for each!). She concentrated a minute before telling me I could take both of them for 1 euro!

Weeeeeeeeeeeeee! This goil made my day :-)))
I'm able to spend hours playing with this guuuud ol' pacman!
And it's your lucky day, just have a break with it! :P

I've visited some bloggies lately made by people from middle-east countries.
Quite often finally, at a point or the other, some of those who were writing these blogs added that they were muslims... and non-terrorist!!!

(well, it was often said with some sense of humour :-)

But I find it really sad that we've created such a situation. We're (and the media!) are totally responsible for putting so much pressure.
And when I think some people "logically" associate Islam and terrorism. It is so absurd and discriminatory.

And well, religions... it's not the matter at all (I don't see it that way, at least). The problem is a "human" probbie. As soon as you get a fanatic who's completly disturbed, this guy can believe in any kind of religion, his attitude, his behaviour will be the same!
Next week, Lola and I will try another "social structure" called *les maisons vertes* (the green houses).
It's a place where parents who keep their baby at home can go and meet other parents, talk whith "chidlhood professionals" and let their angels play around together.

It's not a place where you can leave your child for a few hours, you've to be there to take care of him or her.
It's for children between 0 and 3 years-old; it's also presented as a place which slowly makes a transition between life at home and life with others kids at school.
Another good point is that they're open between 2.00 to 7.00 pm, which gives Lola enough time for her nap :P
You can stay there 10 minutes or 5 hours, just as you want.
Oh, and it's free (s)

Anyway, you see... autumn then winter are coming. Days gonna be short and bloody cold. No more hours of walk or play on the grass.
I worried a bit thiking sometimes we'd be forced to stay at home all day!
This maison verte sounds like a great way to add some spices to Lola's weeks :-))))**~~*^* *
Nooooooooo, I've messed up everything with the last auctions about sarah kay's books!!!

I was there in time, ok, and waited patiently with a devil smile for the very last minute before raising!

My stooopid smile quickly faded away when I saw the price going up and up and up.
I mean, who cares about "sarah kay's books" except me, huh? !!!!! :P
rilly....
(shaking head)

Anyway, at 1 minute 17 seconds, I decide myself and hurry to put my price. But then what do I read? "if you want to register, click here"!
Arggggg, maybe 60 seconds left, I gotta hurrrrrrrrrrrry!
I type all the data and *grrrmmmphhhle* (new verb, I warn ya :P) when I see they also need my birthdate etc.
Finally I click on the register button.
And what do I read?
"you've already registered, have you forgotten your password?"

Arrrrrrrrrggggggggg
Fooooook, yes I remember now I had registered already!

(where was my head, i'm still looking for it btw)

And what about my auction now????
Kaput
Away
Over
Finished
Hasta la vista, baby

SIGH!!!!!

And I've got the confirmation her books were not published at all anymore.
(so yusss Penny one, pulease, keep your eyes open for me :P)

Martin thinks I'm even more interested in her books now that i know they're rare and demanded (G)
Weeeeeeeell, nene it's not the reason!!!!
Mwaaaaahahaha

my 2 cuddling creatures (happy sigh) **~~*^* **^^* *

Wednesday, September 10, 2003

I've already confessed in here that i'm an oooold fan of Sarah Kay's books (and no, I've not changed my mind, Martin :P).

I've learnt that Sarah Kay was from Oz (weeeeee!) and that she had started to draw to entertain her child who was badly ill.
I can feel now even more clearly the healing spirit behind her drawings **~~*^* *

Well, the fact is that I wannnnnnnnna a collection of Sarah's books for Lola (and I :P).
But strangely, I cannot find any of them in shops here, no more chance with amazon or priceminister, etc.

Hmm.

And today I've discovered that her books had not been published in France since 1981!!!!
I could smell her books were going to be collectors!!!!!
So I'm looking for Sarah's books. If anyone finds one (waving madly), please don't forget me!

The only way I could find 3 Sarah Kay's was on the French ebay. I'm waiting very impatiently now for the last minute to put my price for the auctions! :P

(nose stuck against the window) It's full moon tonight and I can't see anything with dem bloody clouds!

Preggie goils are asking themselves if this night will be ZE night, weirdos are looking for the werewolf hiding in dem, goilish goils think its Ze appropriate moment to have an haircut (nodding here) and others wonder how much the moon is going to influence their libido :-))))
I luuuuuve this moon, bringing its myths and realities every time we mention it.

Oh, still about the moon... I've learnt that in German the moon had the masculine gender .... LE lune, quoi ... !!!!!!!
How weird! In spanish and in French it's the feminine gender... which seem kinda natural because of all the references between the moon and women...

**~~*^* ** *

we've just caught -in time- a virus which was using my own email adress as a sender!!!
Enough to get rilly paranoid :P

I wonder why our education system does not work.
Never enough teachers, never enough money.
Is it the same abroad?

I wonder if I worry more about that now that I'm a mama.. hehe... probably.
But I can't understand why we keep spending money for the military stuff instead of helping education, health and research.

That kills me. I've a friend who's a teacher and who gets 35 pupils who are 6 years-old!!! How can you hope to teach dem reading properly when they are so numerous!

And the time kids spend at school... 8.30 am to 5.00 pm in average. From I don't know, 2 years-old to 18!!!! That's very practical for all the parents but it is way too long!
I really prefer the German system where kids finish school at 1.30 pm. Then they have time to play, to practice sport and ok, do their homework :P

Lola's 11 months-old today!
And to celebrate that, she could not resist awaking 4 times last night! (huuuuuuu....)

Soooo, Lola manages now to put one foot in front of the other one to walk when we hold her arms :-)))

She doesn't say any other words really than paaapaaaaa muuum, but she *talks* a loooooooot!

When she takes the hairbrush, she tries to put it on her hair (real goil hey), when she takes sunglasses, she tries to put them on her nose (with no success) :)

She starts to try anything in food (as she does not eat much at all, I'm ready to try anything :P), and she turns to enjoy a LOT cheese.

She has started again to go to her monday "group" with other babies and now it's really funny because she is old enough to go on her all four wherever she want, to take the toys of her lil friends (and vice versa) and to charm the mamas who're there :P
(there was one papa there yesterday, trying to follow us -experienced mamas- with our lil butterflies dances! hehe... that was funny, and courageous from him!)

And finally, Lola plays a lot -and sometimes just by herself!-, she manages to turn the pages of magazines, and she still cuddles Joe more than anyone else! hehe
Oh I gotta add she is now on a real "exploration mode", curious about everything! I luuuuuuuuve that, even if that means I gotta run behind her all da time!

This weekend I've put some of my original paintings FOR SALE (yeahhhhhhhh!) in 2 FREE galleries!

The French gallery Tableaux en ligne
and the English version of it Paintings Gallery :-)

I think it will be hard to sell the originals, but it's great to start showing them here and there (...with their price on it!)
Now I want to find other similar galleries and others in which I can sell prints.
I've not won many battles, but maybe the *war*!

Lola has just slept the WHOLE night!!!!!!
That had not happen since 2 months and a week!

It feels so good to not wake up for once :-)))

Sunday, September 07, 2003

It's been a puuurfect busy weekend during which I even found the time to finish this new painting:

Saturday, September 06, 2003

Good piece of news today!
The teacher of Eva (my niece, who's 5 years-old) has asked if she could use my Dragons' story as a basis for her lil pupils to understand how you "create" a story :-)))
30 lil ones asking themselves why dragons REALLY do breathe fire!
hehehe

I luuuuve the idea.
I'm not about to be rich with my writings, but happyyyyyy, yes certainly! **~~*^* * *** *

The ol' narcissistic badger (yeah, nobody's perfect!) is starting happily her weekend!

I might have found a good way to sell paintings online (till I do it on my website.... one day.... sooner or LATER!). Much better than ebay, it's a website who gathers artists and freely offer to expose their paintings to be sold!
I've just subscribed and I hope they won't consider my style too, too "out of the classic line" (which is a-l-w-a-y-s the case for us, "fantasy artists"... not enough realistic, not enough abstract or too much of this and that.... ). All the last galleries I've contacted lately considered my paintings could not be put in any of their categories, sooooooooo.... I could not show dem!

But this time it might work :-)

Tomorrow we go for a family lunch that will celebrate autumn and shellfish, doesn't that sound really appropriate?!!!

When I think a month ago it was above 40°C here and that now we're already wearing woolen pullovers and thick socks...!
Are we going to get extreme type of weather then? very cold and very hot?
We'll see and we'll adapt :)

32.
32 bloody (but so cute!) teef to come till I find peaceful nights again!
Lola's stopped sleeping without waking up since 2 months now.
Last night she woke up crying with pain (you recognize such cries, I can tell ya) 5 times between midnight and 3.00.
Usually it's more about 3 times, and that's already really too much...

She's having 4 teef about to come out at the moment, that will make a total of 10 little teef!

That means another 12 are about to threaten our nights!!!!
Arggggggg

I still luuuuuve Madonna's provocations!
You can say it's only a coup, a biz manipulation, publicity, etc, but shes does what I'd do if I was famous: shaking the puritan minds :P

All these shocked words because of a kiss, people are really narrow-minded. And the same people aren't shocked by a war in Irak, huh. Dat's weird!
tada! With the help of Gulli and some inspiration, the main gallery of my paintings page has just been transformed into 8 galleries!!!

Magic Magic**~~*^* * *^^* *
I've received a message from some Tony.
He sent words about my paintings and I gotta thank the *Universe* that people take the time to encourage others with the most beauDiful words!

I often hear religion leads to bloody wars, etc etc.
And I understand that point of view. Though it's the men who use the religious excuse who lead the bloody wars!

I also hear sometimes that the believers are very often intolerant.
//oOAnd it happens that the most intolerant ones I've met lately were atheists! They (these ones at least) build a wall around themselves and on this wall it's written "don't even try talking about your fookin *faith* because I DON'T BELIEVE" or "look at dem stoopid BLIND believers, they always *need* to invent a religion!" or (and this is the best! :P) "gimme the PROOF that Gawd exists!"

Well I'm not asking them either proves that Gawd do not exist! LOL
Why is it hard for some of dem to respect people who believe in something? Do they ever ask themselves if there might not be a different reality? No, I think not. And I think it's way more easy to not believe than the other way (in my case at least :-).

Grrrmmmphhhhhhh :-)
The Baptism went absobloodilutely well!!!!
(happy sigh)**~~*^* * *
The ceremony was simply BeauDiful, and the priest very open and answering with much sweetness and humour to any of Lola's reactions (scream, laugh, smile, blablas, huge open eyes, etc).
And Lola kept very hmm concentrated (yes!) during the ceremony. It was as if she knew what was happening.

Then we (family and friends) all had a great time, enjoying an "autumn buffet", outside where the sun was shining hard!

I did not expect this day to be that good. But all was perfect.
And I'm very happy that Lola is baptized now, having 2 new official guardian angels :-))**~~*^* * *^^* * * *

Sunday, August 31, 2003

It's about 8.00 am and everybody's snoring in the house :-)
It's been, I don't know, one hour and a half that I'm awake... Our day will be busy busy with Lola's Baptism, so I wanted to get relaxing time before everything starts.
I luuuuve these peaceful moments when the sun is rising and I'm having my first cawffees, listening to guuuud music (evanescence), surfing a bit on the web while Joe's purring on my knees :-)))

But it's bloody cold this morning! I'm sure it's not even 10°C right now!
Eeeeck, that makes my dressing plans more complicate suddenly :P

We've meet the priest twice and he's fine.
He's younger than Martin, which is kinda funny. He seems to really love his job too. You know he's not like old priest who are too austere, he seems so eager to spread his faith that you've to stop him sometimes or he loses himself in passionate talks :-)

I just worry for one thing though... The Church usually asks that the godfather and godmother be baptized too. This time the Godmother is not and the priest yesterday talked about it for hours to come to a point: he'll give more importance to the godfather during the celebration. He said it was for respect about the godmother's convictions. He won't ask her to do all the ritual, just part of it.
And Martin finds that great that he does it because he "respects* the fact that Emmanuelle is not a *believer*.
And I feel behind this great "respect", it's only a way to exclude a bit Emanuelle from the ceremony because she is not part of the Church. You see?!!!

Anyway, I hope he will be diplomatic during the ceremony. That bothers me a bit!

I'm very happy to celebrate that today, with close friends and close family.
There should be about 30 people.

I hope all will be fine between my mama and papa. Divorced parents is a real probbie for children when it comes to official ceremonies. You *nooooooe* they're not happy to see each other, so they make efforts. I'll also have to keep an eye as sual on my grand-mama who could bite my dad anytime. Same as usual. And it's boring!!!!

Anyway, after the ceremony we all go at my mama's for other festivities (champ', etc etc).

I hope that Lola will enjoy her day, at least I'm sure she'll be happy dancing with her hands when we'll sing in the church! hehe **~~* *^* *
I think the Frawnch rugger team has found its secret weapon: tight t-shirts!
(fainting)

Well it seems it's the new rule now, wearing this kind of t-shirt. I think yes, they're much more practical, hm, professionnal yeah, hm, well, way more sexy too! hehe
I've tried to find a good pic to show you, but I've only found this:

(refainting)

And I've not even talked of the results of yesterday!
The boys have succeeded against the Roastbeef team, which hadn't happen in a whole LONG year!!!!
(despite an interesting Roastbeef tactic: a member from the English staff ran between one of our boys and the ball while the boy was lining up a first-half conversion!)

Well, this victory is a sign for the World cup I tell you! Mwaaaaahahahaha

I just wonder about this match we've watched, why do they call it "friendly match"? LOL ... because it was far from being really the case, as usual ;-)

And here's a susual scene between Joe and Lola. Joe keeping some self-control though showing obvious irritation and Lola simply enjoying her hairy lil friend!

Do you remember this sexy guy (Banderas) playing guitar and guns? Yes, yes El Mariachi!!!

And do you remember this same guy, still with his guitar, getting a bit more nervous...desperado?

Weeeeeeeeell, mr Rodriguez (that I luuuuuve) has made a third movie about this mariachi!
It's called "Once upon a time in Mexico" (something to do with his -our- beloved Sergio Leon I guess), it's still with Banderas and Salma Hayek, but also with... JOHNNY DEPP and WILLEM DAFOE (triple fainting here!!!)

Ok, I've seen the trailer which is far from showing the best of the movie I bet! But nebbermind, I'll be there for el mariachi!
(singing)
Me gusta tocar guitarra
Me gusta cantar el sol
Mariachi me acompana
Quando canto mi cancion!

We've experienced what I'd call a *digested shower* this morning...
I was in the supamarket with the shrimpette in the trolley, when suddenly my lil angel started to vomit more than she had drunk an hour before!
... she had just tried to swallow a sticker...
Poor lil one, she was covered with it. Thank gawd a man came to help me, holding the shrimpette while I was taking her clothes off!

Anyway, the fact she's vomitted is kinda usual for kids, right right... but there was my handbag open just between her legs.... it's been a disaster for my papers and bag.
Happy lovely morning, you make me sing sing sing
hehe (yeah, we always laff ... AFTER! :P)

The shrimpette is doing really well now and I just bought a new bag!

weeeeeeeee!

Wednesday, August 27, 2003

Thank you Joe for being our official chicken taster!
We've taken the habit to first give a bit of the chicken I buy to Joe just before cooking it.
And you can be sure if he does not rush to its chicken bit, it means that it won't be that good.
It works everytime!
Joe just need to smell it and then he gives his opinion:
eating it : excellent chicken, usually expensive one
sitting in front of it, watching it weirdly: you gotta add a lot of sauce to what you gonna cook (G)
My mama thinks my goils (in the paintings) are too nekkid!!!!
Grmmmppphhhhhhhhh
Just a pair of boobies here and there is not so shoking, don't you think?

Next time I'll show her what is *erotic painting*, I know excellent artists in that field (gotta make a lil list of the artists i've discovered!)

When I show a nekkid body (and in such a naive way that it can't be shocking, nenene! hehe), it's just because the creature or person is living that way! I'm not going to modify the reality :P

mamas....... !!!! (rolling eyes)
;-)

There's a new guest in the Gallery!
Morwenna, buDerfly of Mordreuc, has just arrived :-)
Welcome mademoiselle :P **~~*^*

click me

Tonight (at 9.00 pm!), we've this rendez-vous with the priest for Lola's Baptism.
Actually we'll be several parents there to discuss about our... beliefs and convictions.

SIGH!!!

I don't mind talking about religion, beliefs, etc.... but not in the AA way ya know (all in circle talking about our *probbie*, oops I meant *faith*!).
That is not very inspiring.

But somehow I find it more complicate to explain to our friends (who do not *believe* at all, most of them at least) why we want Lola to be baptised rather than to unknown "guuuud ol' Catholics" ;-)
How can you explain a *spiritual* desire to someone who rejects anything which does not seem rationnal... Very hard!

As I had already said in here, our desire is to bring a kind of spiritual dimension into the Shrimpette's life.
I do believe in a God (which Penny and I use to call *mr Universe*.. hehe), and this unconditionnal faith is pretty important to me. Even though I don't go to Church often, even if I don't pray so often, there are times (and not always during tough times) when my Faith brings me a lot.

That will be a Catholic baptism. Why Catholic? Because it's the only religion I really know and Catholics accept godfather and godmother who are not baptized (unlike Protestant Church, Martin's church).
I think I will tell Lola about the Old testament and a bit more. The way my grand-mama did with me. Like telling tales, trying to avoid the black or white points of view.
Then she'll follow her own path, with or without a God or Goddess. I wanna give her the possibility to chose and to make her opinion :-))**~~*^* *

You remember the scary (drawn) bits in The Wall? And the creativity in Yellow Submarine?

Involving in such a project would be the dream of my (working) life!
I've been contacted a few months ago by a Brasilian guy who asked me to participate to the creation of a cartoon. Stoopidely I even did not answer, thinking it was a joke. Well I'm sure it wasn't a serious offer.

Anyway, that made me think a rock-opera cartoon would be *my thing*.

... Well of course, if Metallica, Dead can Dance or Björk could contact me, I just feel it would be more inspiring than if it was Zouzou Pitchoune (noooooo, you don't know him? ;-)
hehe

(shiterooooo, I wanted to add a link to this famous *zouzou pitchoune*, but he must be so unpopular that even the web has ignored him. snif :(( )

Saturday, August 23, 2003

It's been an important day for the shrimpette.... she's got her first pair of SHOES (and Gawd, you would not believe the price of baby shoes!)

And yes, the first pair of shoes in the life of a lil lady is something!
Can you just imagine all the other ones that will follow? hehe... The first shoes of a long long series, well, if she's like her mama huh! :P

I think she still prefers being barefoot though... Here's her lil face just after I took her shoes off.
She got hysterically happy (already typical women's reactions, see! hehe), and was coming to me to bite my nose (her new hobby!)

Friday, August 22, 2003

I'm exhausted, dead, right now.
I'll come back to life in a bit....
..... let's say when it will be time to put my shrimpette to bed and to enjoy a glass of white milk (that won't be soon I fear!)

Now that Lola's literally running on her all fours, I have to be so careful all the time that she does not put her fingers where she must not!
And actually (and I bet it's the same for all babies), Lola does exactly what is forbidden!

putting her fingers in the pivoting part of the doors or in the plugs (the plugs seem even more funny...)
trying to eat Joe's food, well trying to eat Joe's tail too
trying to enter Joe's litter
putting her hands inside the video or dvd player and playing with all the buttons
trying to lick our shoes, I mean their sole!
getting the soil out of the plants' pots, eating it sometimes

etc, etc

I thank Gawd for not having twins!
hehe
And last night she woke up really screaming for more than 1 hour (she wanted to get out of bed), between 1.00 and 2.00 (as we went to bed at 1.00, it's been hard, no, IMPOSSIBLE, to sleep)

She's not slept at all today so far, but I've put her to bed anyway for half an hour.
I needed a break and a 6th cawffee!

(why does it seem that easy for other mamas?! I see them apparently relaxed with their 2, 3 children around!)

Clowns: weird creatures born to make us laugh.
Does it work with you, do you always laugh when there's a clown around?
I don't...

They'd be robots, that would be fine to me. But they're human, and that means there's always somebody hiding behind the mask.
That is enough to feed my imagination ...
In *my* world, clowns are sad and frightening... I never see them as funny, no way.

All that to introduce my last painting (so much blabla, huh! hehe), the *Master of Laughter* (yes yes, weird translation, but the closest to French language)

Since I woke up this morning, I can't help thinking it's Tuesday today.
And I've asked Martin not to tell me the contrary so that I can wake up tomorrow morning thinking it's wednesday!
And then, Martin will tell me that I'm all wrong again, that it's Thursday.
Imagine that, the weekend will look suddenly much closer!!!!
Life is beauDiful sometimes, but you gotta help it a bit to make it so :P

All that sounded logical, didn't it?!
Goils are l-o-g-i-c-a-l, it's simply in our nature, see!!!!
I need a pullover!!!!!

(kim wilde roarring get out, get out of my liiiife)
(dancing around)
(going to cuddle Joe)
(dancing around with him)
(no he's not happy!)

it's COLD this morning!!!
Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

My memory of smells...

Some toxic wood varnish
... my grand-father is in his workroom, my grand-mother is cooking jam, my sister and I would like to spend more time with our lil friends. sigh

catweewee
...we're spending days at a family friend's. She gets tons of cats. One day we bring her back a dead kitten we found on the road. We knew she would burry him. We also knew she'd get sea-sick seeing it. Nasty lil thingies we were (g)

honeysuckle
...we're running down the path, we cross the only street of the village and we go up towards the woods where there is this little church. Boys are waiting for us behind the chapel there. It should be fun.

medication with strawberry flavor
...I get much fever, but there is this wedding and I'm one of the little bridesmaids. My dress is really pretty I think. My grand mother keeps telling me if I take the medication I'll be able to get up. I resist. I can't drink it. I won't wear my dress, it's not fair.

white glue in colored pot
...She's just near me today. The mistress talks loudly but I can't focus on anything else than her. She's eating her pot of glue. She does it all the time. And that's only one of her numerous disgusting eccentricities!

.........

My world of smells...

skin
my other half, my shrimpette, my mama, my grand-mother

burning wood
family, friends, family castle, warmth

the rain
my bed, my man, my home, the woods, mushrooms, moss, fairies

the metro
infection

monoi
sun, summer, skin, sensuality

Chanel perfumes
old rich boring women wearing too much make up, too many jewels

cinnamon
xmas, adventure, unknown islands

etc etc

I wonder why people here complain so much about the effects (=deaths) of the heat wave.
I mean they say the state has not taken its responsibilities and that in a modern country it's a shame that this happens.

It's like we're always looking for someone or something to blame. I cannot stand this kind of passive attitude.
I agree hospital must work properly, etc etc.
But then, there's a point when it turns to be absurd to always blame someone for what's happening. Mainly when people who're blaming or complaining are those who were on the beach enjoying their summer! ;-)

Is it just an illusion or I'm feeling a bit cold this morning!!!
I left an over-heated Paris and I've just found it rainy and cold (if 20°C can be considered like cold!)

So many deaths linked to the heat wave! It sounds completly unrealistic, but well I guess the heat accelerated a few "cases"..
So... are we prepared to years of supa-heated summers (as they say we should have)?
Are we prepared the same way to heavy rains (as we might start to have now!)?
What about ice-cold winters?

I think we're not ready to face these weather changes.
But till the body adapts to all that (more hairs in winter, night life on summers :P), I keep my swimsuit and my skis in the same wardrobe!

Nooooooooooooooooo
I mean YEAHHHHHHHHHHH
hehe

We get the loan for the house!!!!!
It was our last chance and it worked!
weeehooooooooooooooo!

It's too too kewl to be troooe, my heart is beating quickly, all that means our life is going to change!
I feel like jumping in the air with a tiny parachute... hehe... exciting and stressing!!!
Exciting because I can already feel the keys of the house in my pocket, stressing because our debt ratio is going to be actually too high.
I feel we're going to eat pasta for a few years!

Ok so now next step is getting the written proposal from the bank (in 10 days), with the inrestest level (crossing bits so that it's not too high....).

We're forcing doors to reach our everest, risky but .... is there any other way than taking risks?
Ohhh weeeeeeeeeeeeeee!
Lola has eaten her vegetables and drunk her bottle (not easily but ha well...) for lunch.
I really started to worry... it's been 3 weeks she's forced herself to follow a diet.
As soon as it's time for Lola to eat, I start to tremble in my boots, wondering if she'll take anything of what I've prepared.
I hope now it will only get better.

The funerals of Bernard went ok this morning, though I'm feeling abit sea-sick now.
Death usually does not make ya feel different than that, huh.

It was a beauDiful ceremony, simple one, with lovely flowers everywhere and nice latin songs.
I could see Bernard's face in the faces of his 3 children. It's like part of him is still here.

Don't you find it weird that countries' names or cities'name are translated in different languages?
I find it much more logical to talk of London rather than of Londres or of Bretagne than Brittany... it's as weird (to me) as talking of Guillaume Shakespeare or William le Conquérant! hehehe
tssssss

Anyway, that was my thought of the day (it's hot, forgive me!)
When it gets 40° outside, I'm really thankful for not being...
...a removal guy
...a guy working on the roads (building dem!!!! hehe)
...a cook
...an asthmatic
...a model introducing the winter collection
...a joe full of hairs
...a man in general (wearing trousers, etc!)
...a preggie goil
...a farmer
...a fireman
...a flower seller

So well, isn't life brilliant! I'm none of any above! weeeeee
:-))))))))

Monday, August 11, 2003

I don't know if it's linked to the heat or not, but Gully is acting as if he was completly mad!
the keybord went frozen, then the screen, then I've had several *goooood* crashes, and now programs are being deleted!
grrrmmmpppphhhhhh!

I think I've installed too much stuff...and that the heat does not really help!
Anyway, these successive crashes means we gonna spend our evening re-installing everything (SIGH!!!)

Sunday, August 10, 2003

I've just finished another lil painting, Katou, wasp of the Bas Bout, which belongs to a series of Breton insects I'm painting :)

Saturday, August 09, 2003

Lola is 10 months-old today!!!

Wooooooooooo, there have been so so many changes in a month!
Lola has learnt to walk on her all four, she even runs that way when I'm behind pursuing her! hehehe
She has now 7 teef and starts to prefere "solid" food rather than her bottles (and gawd, bottles meant PEACE for 10 minutes....not the same with a spoon!)
She is still having her 9 months "crisis" (which is kinda well known and which really happens!)... getting frightened when you're not around, starting to make contact with other kids but also crying instantly and loudly when she is stressed.
And with the heat, she's lost her blessed habits and now she wakes up very often every night. I hope THAT will change soon...!
She imitates us more and more... our faces, parts of the words we tell, etc.

You can really see changes everyday.
She also share bursts of laugh with us... we start just giggling and finish red with big open laugh. Very funny!
And now she kisses us all the time and does it to joe too (when we don't look at her for a min!). Her kisses = open mouth stuck against your cheek (or closed eye when you're not lucky) and she licks your cheeck for a minute holding your head with her lil hands :-))))

happy sigh**~~*^* *** ^* *

Friday, August 08, 2003

oh bloody shiteroo!
A family friend has just die (from a stroke)... my parents and he and his wife had spent so much time together with other friends (1970s' style :-).
The kind of friend who's like a relative, he was part of our everyday life *picture* finally.
And my sister and I had spent many summers in their house with their kids, Hubert, Fred and Caroline who were our official baby-sitters...
The funeral of Bernard will happen on wednesday. I'll call Hubert tomorrow to tell him we'll come.

Booooo
Bubye dear expensive Compuserve with who I've learnt 7 years ago (!!!) what was the internet, and thanks to who I can make a world trip finding a welcoming house every 2000 km! Isn't life wonderful?!!! hehe

**~~*^* * *^^* *(happy sigh)**~~*^* * *^^* *

Where is the rain! Where is the wind!

Everything is hot here... the chocolate bits in the cereals have melted, my skin cremes (which feels really yucky) are hot, the alcohols are hot, the phone is hot, the grass in the parc is hot... the glasses are hot!!!

And Lola is losing her appetite... and when she does not eat, I'm getting like the mad rabbit in Alice (in wonderlands). I tell you, there must be an italian mama hiding in me! hehe
I'm ready to wake up anytime in the night and rush with the milk bottle.. if Lola wakes up, that is (s)
Shiteroo, it does not happen as we wanted with banks... What we need and what they can give us is really different so far. I honestly thought it would be a lil easier. Hm, that's stressing, I hope we can find something before the end of next week! :)

Wednesday, August 06, 2003

See how my lil ones can stand the heat here..... snoring! hehe

I've been desperatly looking for a ventilator (fan?), and it turns to be an impossible mission (sigh!!!)
if only I had 2 or 3 generous male-ish souls with banana tree leaves...!

Monday, August 04, 2003

I usually like remembering how life is short and precious. That's pretty motivating to make you reach your own *everests* **~~*^*

Unfortunatelly you often think about that when death is around.
And I don't know why but summer and death are often partners when it comes to *my world*. I've lost 3 of my grand-parents in summer. And they're the first of a (short!) list.
So far this year, i've not been affected by any other "close" death, but summer has already brought its bad news. A neighbour has lost his wife last week, a friend has had a miscarriage (that really really broke my heart), and a couple of days ago the brother of a good friend has lost his wife in a car accident. They had married a month ago in Thailand (he's French, she was Thai), she was just 30.

I always come to wonder how you can stand the death of close friends or relatives. I mean, ok, I've lost my grand-parents, it was terrible... but somehow they were "old". Any other situation frightens me.

Anyway, life's short. It's never too early to make plans, to try to reach ones' dreams (*everests*). Never too early but yes, quickly too late! LOL no, I'm not being negative, I just think tomorrow might be the last day! hehe
So what?
hm, time for a fresh glass of white milk! ;-)**~~*^*
Hard to do anything with such a heat... lucky people who're at the beach right now!!!
We expect 35 to 37°C today; poor Joe.. with his fur to carry it must be really unpleasant!

Anyway, I've spent part of my weekend deciding how to organize my gallery because I think I have to organise my paintings into diffenrent categories now. There are too many of them on a single page.
Soooo, now I know what I want, I'll work on it in the week with the help of Martin. It's pretty hard to make something you really want and something which is practical for the visitor but I found a compromise! Phewwww

Meanwhile, I've added a painting I made in Bretagne. I should start with a new one in the week (as soon as the weather gets more reasonnable!)

Now the details...:-)
This house is at least more than 2 centuries-old (but the owner could not tell really... we'll make research!).
It's located in a hamlet with full of old old houses in stones, which is at about 5km from the medieval town of Dinan.
The whole area is protected, no one can build anything new around. Phewwww! (the kind of detail you've to check when looking for a house huh!).

There are 6 rooms, the whole house being about 80m2. Smaller than I wanted, but who said size did matter at the end ;-)
We've 2 gardens, 1 in front, 1 behind... with incredible views.
From the garden behind (which goes to the river Rance), we can follow a path that leads us directly to a pub!!!! the "saint patrick's", in the small harbour near!
Woooooooooooo!!!

The price of the house is of 84 000 euros. And this is not the kind of price you can find anymore there, even with lots of renovations to be made!
That's why we took the decision so quickly. And we were not the only ones to want this house! Phewwwww, we've been very lucky!
So yes there are lots of works to be made...

The roof should be re-done, but it's still ok (it will wait).
We've to connect the houses making openings on each floor (and the walls are about 60cm to 1m thick!).
We've to build 2 big windows on the first floor and to install 2, 4 roof windows.
All that will be made by professionnals. We wait for their quotation right now (trembling in my boots)..

We've to lower the floor a bit (for my giant hubby :P)... it won't be easy, the house is built on a rock!
We've to make a kitchen, bathroom, toilets and the other rooms.
We've to build 2 stairs.
We've to take care of the stones'walls so that they look like they were ages ago:)
And all that we'll be made by ourselves and with the help of courageous friends and relatives :P

It sounds like there are lots of works to be made, hey?!
Yup, that's right, but that's about what we wanted! hehe

As soon as it's ok we'll start looking for a job there, but till then (I think 3 years minimum), we'll probably have to stay in Paris where we get the money.
It won't be easy to pay for the flat + the house, but we'll make it.

Anyway, the house is not ours yet. We've signed a "purchase promise", and we're given now 2 months to find a bank that will allow us to get a credit.

Now you know everything! :-)))**~~*^* * * *

Thursday, July 31, 2003

Befor any blabla, here are the pics of this fisherman house! RoaaaaaaaaaaRRRR

The adress of the house sounds like coming from a fairy tale already: 5 Impasse du Val, le Chatelier, La Viconté sur Rance

The front of the house. Or I should say the 2 houses (you can't really see it because it's the same roof, but there are 2 houses that we will connect). This house is in the middle. We've one neighbour on the left, one on the right. We 've the biggest house :P... which I still find amazing! hehe
There are 3 different doors to enter the house (very hobbit like I tell ya!)

Half of the back of the house, where we'll have to build 2 windows. I love the stones walls!

One of the room inside. I told you, lots of work to be made.

another room inside. And no we're not stressed by the amount of work in it!

The first garden in front of the house.

The fooookin kewl view we get from this garden. We'll make a terrasse in this corner :P

The garden behind the house, with lots of trees and which goes down directly to... the river!!!! yeahhhhhh :-))))

And finally... the view from the other shore!**~~* ^* *

ok, it's high time to tell more about this hobbits' house!
First here's where it's located:

I think Miz Ariel did not know that we were looking for a house... so now you know! hehe... we plan to move from Paris in a few years.. yup I plan to get rid of my city goil clothes :P
And we've just found one a few days ago!!!

Wednesday, July 30, 2003

I'd honestly have never guessed our holidays would happen this way.
We started pretty well, as purrrfect holiday-makers. Sea, Sun, late evenings discovering the weirdest kinds of beverage!

But then after 3 days, we decided it would be a pity that we do not take the opportunity to visit houses.
So we started with that. And Gawd it took a LOT of time to visit agencies. I felt like spending my week on roads.
And yes, we visited lots of houses. Usually more expensive than what we wanted (the prices are raising so so quickly now, dat's scary!).
Our budget was between 60 000 euros up to 130 000.

In the first week, we found an old farm to be renovated... For 38 000 euros!!!!
It was really really beautiful and huge!
But then, a craftman came to give us advice and he said the farm was not to be renovated but to be RECONSTRUCTED!!!!
We got scared by the amount of work to be done on it. 2 walls had to be destroyed and rebuilt, same for the roof. A total renovation.
The price of the farm would have gone beyond 150 000 euros after the works.... eeeeeek!

So we started again with our visits... when on Friday (first week), we arrived in front of that *hobbits'house*....
(to be continued! heh)
Ouch!!!
Lola's rythm has changed and suddenly my days look even shorter (how can that be! I thought it was impossible!) than before.
But I think she'll soon find again her old habits (sleeping late in the morning, having looooong naps).

I must say it's fantabizooby to sleep again in separate rooms (s) ... at least we can let her cry a bit longer (terrible parents, hey!heh) !

Lola has had a hard first week in Bretagne with 2 new teef coming out and a bad cold to deal with.
She also found it hard to be seperated from us it seems. She rilly cried and roared when we were away. Poor grand-parents :P
But that went better during the second week. She got used to faces and voices.

She also discovered how funny it is to play in the sand. She was crazy for it! She grabbed it, tasted it, threw it away. She loved it! And she was over-excited in front of the sea. It was funny when we made her touch the water with her feet, she seemed to shrink instantly! hehe

She's also learnt to walk on all fours! Wooohoooooooooo! Oh and she's dancing on music now (with her hands, legs and head!)

I'm baaaaack! Yeeeehooooooo!!!!
(jumping around, not because it's the end of holidays, but because in everything i hope to find something kewl... and being back means having time again for my bloggies!! hehe **~~*^* ^** *)

Tuesday, July 22, 2003

(running) We've had a first CRAZY week, going to the beach at 8.00 pm (rilly!!!), having dinner at midnight (not so unusual), celebrating birthdays, going to a wedding, visiting houses... tons of houses!

And well....
Hmmm
.....you're reading the words of .... one of the happy owner of an old fisherman house!!!!!!!
no kiddin!!!!

We've just signed a couple of hours ago.
I feel happy but so stressed ... you can't imagined.
My accounts are being emptied, it's really hard to stand. And we've now to hurry to find a bank that will accept to offer us a good credit.
Before we've to evaluate all the works (roof, etc) that have to be done on the house.
It's stressing!

Anyway, the house will be really ours on the 31st of october the latest. Till then we've to find the money.
(biting lipS ;-)

I'll jump again on here as soon as excitement will replace that stress. It won't take much time (s). Then I'll give ya details about this (tiny) house **~~^^* *

Wednesday, July 16, 2003

While it's getting really stormy around here, I've just had time to add a new painting in the gallery!

And now I'm on my way to visit (too expensive -sigh-) houses! It will be fun anyway!

Monday, July 14, 2003

The other day we've invited 2 sailors (also air pilots, one of 80 years old who had served in the RAF) for dinner. They got drunk quite quickly with our deadly punch and then they started to tell about their incredible adventures on boat or on plane. I tell you, our life sound so easy when you hear how close to death these guys have been!!!
Behind very simple and humble words, you could guess these were heroes types. They finished the evening playing guitar and singing with us to finally thank us very very warmly for the evening they had spent. Funny, because it was *dem* who made us all spent an incredible time!
The sea is warmer than usual. About 19°!!!
But the sea does not look like usual really. Fot there are oil bits that have reached our beaches!!! And nobody talk of it in the newspapers or on tv!
The coast is theorically safe, but it's not practically the case!
That has been a shock!
But then, I've not seen any bits of oil so far (phewwww). I would not put a foot on the beach here otherwise.

Fookin pollution!!!
Despite the shrimpette's moods, we manage to get guuuuuuud holidays'habits. Lunch at 4.00, dinner at 10.00. Sunbaths on the beach at 6.00. Badminton at midnight (we've light in the garden, it's too too kewl!) :-)))
By the way, I'm getting like an expert in badminton, who wanna play next?
We could not have a better weather (reaching above 32° in Bretagne is like having palm trees on the pack-ice!)
But it's a bit too warm for the shrimpette who's sick since 4 days now. The first time she's sick, poor lil one!
When we left Paris, we managed to sleep 2 hours, not more. Lola's been crying the whole night and started to get fever.
And since we've arrived, she's lost her appetite (which makes me very nervous...mamas can be stooopid, hey!)... She does not sleep well (so do we, since we're sleeping in the same bedroom!)... She cries more than usual too.
Her cold + new teef + bad mood makes an explosive cocktail, rilly.
I keep wondering how women do with 2, 3, 4 children. Gawd, dat's a tough job!
Tonight's a quiet night. All those who came for dinner have left and the rest of the family as gone to sleep on the boat (lucky dem, there will be fookin kewl fireworks to see on the river!).
Martin's reading the last Harry P. sitting in a huge armchair, drinking some gratte-cul (fookin tough kind of beverage) while I'm writing my bloggies near the fireplace.

Lola is 9 months-old today!!!
weeeeehoooooooooooo
But I've no new pics to show for the event (booooooooooo)

She is now 69 cm for a weight of 9 kg (I *nooooooooooe* why my back hurts now!).
Everything is going ok for the shrimpette.

She can now try much more new types of food, which is great (i'm fed up with cooking carrots and peas!) ..
What else?!... ohhh ohhh

(jumping around)

she now wants and asks in her own way for REAL CUDDLES!!!

yeeeeeehoooooooooooooo!!!!**~~**^* *
Have you ever wondered what it felt like to sing along with Mick (Jagger)???!!
No? Me neither... till tonight!
Because YES it has just happened !!!!!!!!
(fainting)

I've tried to forget all day that half of my family (on the side of my papa) was attending the Stones'concert at le stade de France (where I had seen dem a few years ago...phewwww!).

...and suddenly at 10.00, the phone rang.

(..........)

and it was Mick singing *you get always get what ya want* (my type of lyrics! hehe). it was very VERY loud! And the audience sounded completly "in the song".

Gwenola called me with her mobile and she held it for a few minutes just for me.
Mick and I have had a fookin kewl time!
thank you Gweno!!!!!

It's been about 2 weeks Martin awakes in the middle of the night because he has violent pain around one of his eye... I've kicked his ass this morning so that he goes to see a specialist TODAY! So he will (when women ask something, hey..! ;-)
He has a rendez-vous at 7.00 pm, I hope the specialist will find a way to help him!
**~~*^* *
yeeehoooooooo!!!
I've just finished a new painting, and I RILLY wanted this one to be done before leaving!
I'll put it online next week, because THAT can wait a bit :P
It's an SF painting, and I really enjoy the genre (Juan Giménez being my SF painting guru... I wish I had his hands!).
I think in a few weeks I'll separate my gallery in 2 parts: one for Fantasy, the other for SF :-)

And I gotta add m'sieur Jack to the high circle of *vocagrammarbulary gurus* (just waiting to add you in it, Penny One! :P)
Thank you Jack!!!**~~* ^* *

I've just finished correcting all the lil mistakes in the English version of my Dragons' story, and I've to thank m'zelle Jenny for her very precious help!
People almost never take the time for such help, but Jenny did! **~~*^* * *^^* *

Behind Candide-the-wine-drinker and Candles-the-doodles-maker was hiding a delicate and sensitive creature able to write stories for children!
(yes yes that's moi, I swear it :P.. hehehe)

Forget the illustrations you gonna see (my scanner won't forget though, I tell you!), and discover "Why do dragons breathe fire"?

Phewwww... I feel somehow relieved because I knowwwww why I get almost no chance to sell on ebay right now!
Because so far I'm the only visitor to my shop! LOL
There are very few categories in French, and no adapted at all for my paintings (I'm classified in classic paintings/antiquities...! hehehe)
So well, I'll suggest them a new category and we'll see :P

I can't imagine end of next week we're in Bretagne...till the 28th!
Yes that sounds like paradise... specially when I compare with last year when I was as round as a jelly ball, when I already had contractions, when Martin was also losing his job, and when I had the worst toothaches!!!
That was a bit heavy huh.

But this year is ZE year! I even feel I might win lottery soon, it's a good sign ;-)
What will I do first with the $$$? I'd find a huge expensive farmlike house or castle and invite those I love for REAL holidays! RoaaaaaaaaaaaRRRRRR

Anyway, till I win the lottery, I already get these holidays. Fookin kewl.

I will naturally bring my liliputian one (laptop) with me to follow my biz websites, and to update my bloggies regularly (yup, you won't get rid of me that easily :P)
I should not have done it (it's like not the right moment to spend happily $$$ :P), but I've just bought the last Harry Potter!
I should receive it in the next days, hopefully before I leave next week for Bretagne (where I wanna *swallow* as many books as possible! :-)
Haaaaaaaa
Haaaaaaaaaa!!!!
A young austrian goil has just sent me an email telling how much she hated my paintings!
She was getting mad at the "innocence" shown in dem.
About 15 lines explaining me why she hated my work. Don't you find it weird to take time to send such an email?
I mean when you like something, when you find something interesting, when you think you've a good piece of advice to give, you might take time to tell it. But when you hate something... you just don't lose time telling it...!

I don't care, but...(cough).... rilly I prefer compliments! hehehe
Who said criticism was constructive?! :P

(tapping foot while waiting for some world recognition of my lil art :P heh)
