Bum Butterfly

I have sold not long ago a Fullmoon Butterfly painting, and I truly missed her.

I had to take her back home somehow (what a protective mama I am! lol) so I painted her, another kind of "her",

and she now stands peacefully on her branch, just next to me.

Phewww.

Libertaire, libertin, libre, libéré... libre (de créer!), oh oui !

haha I did not see that coming (I got your comment Mahie and suddenly realized my post could bring some stress!)... I just did (again) my (lost) illustration about liberty for someone.

And I was looking at it, thinking hard...  thought that it symbolized pretty much what I was... what I am.

Simply someone making of freedom much more than a priority, making of it a goal, a graal, a way to look at life ... and I want as much as I can to help my devils to be free beings. Thinking their own way, making their own choices, defending their dreams.

Surprised but supportive of course !

haha I did not expect my baby boy, (cut in the wood, strong and heavy like a mini rugbyman), to ask me to start
modern dance
at school !

Whether Loup is very  creative, open, wanting to learn anything new (which is very true), or he knows he will be surrounded with pretty lil girls.
I think both :P

He already does Judo, which he LOVES, but I think that might bring him another kind of pleasure.
I'm very proud he makes his own choices already, insisting there's no reason only girls should know about dancing! : )))

Red temptation

Today, I (truly) found an apple lost in a bush of Ivy...//oO\\... full, round, so red. I couldn't resist it. I'll keep it for a while, I think it is a magical one. You take it, caress it, and something good should happen... but shhhhh...! : )

Mr Crumb, you get a new fan!

Fritz' papa is actually Robert Crumb (I really had to mention him!). I feel like so stupid and kinda uneducated for not really be familiar with Robert Crumb, that fantastic artist! It was about time!  I've started reading, discovering more about him, searching infos. Fascinating artist! A clever and most talented provoker (agitator?) ...

He hated the animated feature (that I really like lol) made of Fritz the Cat and then "Crumb ended the strip in 1972 due to disagreements with the filmmakers. He published a story in which Fritz was murdered by an ex-girlfriend"

The American artist lives in France since a few years. And I plan to discover much more about this man who finds Mick Jagger highly irritating! (I really LOVE his tone and attitude in the lil vid, must be quite revealing about the guy!)

Come here kitty, gonna make ya purr

I was half sleeping yesterday when I discovered Fritz the cat... the cartoon, animated movie!

I loved it. Trashy, funny, but not only. That was a surprise. I knew it but never got into it till now! Yayyy baby, yayyy!

Hard Candy (I wish)

and I wish I could get as sticky as possible, at least (that the plan!  ;-)
I'm testing my new sport schedule, to which I'll add individual cardio and musculation stuff.
Somehow... I train 6 days, make a break on one day. lol. But that's ok, half the week is pretty soft.

Yesterday, 2 hours of pure musculation with a trainer I've known since a few months. Full of energy, creative and merciless! Exactly what I want.

Today, and for next three days, I'll get tortures from Lylou.

She's into martial arts and she's a fantastic machine to torture anything required. Tonight, Zumba (not sure I'll love, it's cardio, but too much dance in it to me probably) and adored body combat. 2 hours to get sticky.

Wednesday, Thursday and Friday are truly killer's day. I'm fully trained (I think) yet because the trainers push the level really high with our lil gang... it is always harder. Painful. Goooood! :P

Oh and in 10 days, I'll follow a training on Sunday... self defence !

hehe... I go there for the fun of it with other girls. It's organised by Lylou, super professional, and she teased us in the best way: telling it would be THE opportunity to kick guys' ass there!
haha! Sounds like fun!

Moogly in the jungle

The lil black and white intruder, we've known him since a few days. The kitten gets on very well with Conan and Satan. I thought they'd fight, be jealous, etc... Not at all. They keep playing like crazy.

The devils have also a big weakness for him, of course, but they know he belongs to the Bretonish jungle and would be very sad in a small Parisian apartment.

The lil kitten has a broken tail it seems, his tail must have been caught in a door or something like that. He does not suffer at all, but if I get the time on Monday or Tuesday, I'll take him to the vet.

He is very clever, already found on my table good pieces of meat to eat! he must be 4 months-old, super small stomach, and he can already eat what I eat! But he purrs and cuddles so easily... that I forgive him anything (told you he was clever!)

I will love you until death do us apart

The wedding of my cousin the other day was perfect. Some women were wearing funny hats, champagne had that gold colour and Heaven's taste, the bride was exquisite, children were building perfect memories, etc etc.

A wedding like in movies you know. Honestly I like it, nobody marry anymore nowadays, at least around us. We're more into the age category now where people get into divorce.

Hell, shouldn't we celebrate sometimes divorces? new life beginnings? Sometimes, I'm sure we should. Might be a good biz to build around that ;)

When I was in the church, one of the best moment to observe people, my eyes got caught by the most welcoming message you can read on the painted window (Thou shall obey me until death).

I really shivered, The warm and happy atmosphere were escaping me for a moment. I wanted to take my brush and transform that awful message into something human, plain... Thou shall fuck happily until death? Thou shall disobey when you heart tell you so? blablabla

Thank ermm God, the lovely couple shared an adorable kiss that brought back the warmth I wanted to feel. I happily left the dark church.

Desire

In my quite fascinating book about  Adolph H. the author mentions a most logical theory that I had never thought about really.
That sucks, I'm really not blond, yet... I simply do not take the time to * think * really. lol (now that sounds very blondish!)

Anyway, the author says somewhere that you desire something that you don't have, that you miss.

Missing, not possessing feed the desire.

But hey, of course that's not stupid... I really want the strawberry pie I don't have right now.
The perfect red wine? no thanks, I've got it for two hours now.

Poor rich men that have already everything!

That's a scary theory... Can't you desire what you have then? You can appreciate what you have but... desire it? Deep inside, is it possible?

(right now I desire classic powerful music, not Wagner (!), something that could take me SO high)

Glam, offbeat .... and a candy for the ears!

Yes I wanted a cigarette the other day.

I was craving a cigarette really. 10 years later (after I stopped), I still feel the desire. Desire, I'll come back to that topic later.

Once I managed to get rid of the cigarette fever... there came that song! haha! Can't get rid of it! Fuck! That's so vicious! :P

I get the song in mind now, as much as the cigarette! ...  merci Guy-Bernard , you've been totally inspired, as usual !

The Gardener's rituals

... is the title of my next paintings series.

Nothing's done yet, but the idea is there.

The title almost guides my pencil and brush.

And it often works this way. I get ideas, sources of inspiration, and suddenly a title come to my mind that will guide my work, give a meaning to it.

There's a lot of construction in the process, but the title is like  the original seed. I find that strange when I think of it. Maybe the visual comes after the meaning, to me. Dunno.

The painting will fit the title and not the opposite way to me.

How does it work for other painters, for musicians, for photographers? I wonder.

Differently for sure.

Shiba pow blop wizz... Arggh!!!

Last time I shouted "Arggggh!" was when I realized I had uploaded 80 photos on Facebook, instead of one.
And god, there were really photos that should not have been exposed! lol

Yes that was my last panicking Arggh.
Of course, everybody had time to watch them all. Fuck!

I don't often talk of other bloggies, just that I don't have the time to discover any new ones.
Already hard to update my own one...

Anyway, I've known the man behind before I got to know the blog. Which is a first time, usually it's always the contrary.
Fascinating blog. Make what you want of it, really... you just ("just" hides all the research work behind!) get topics, artists, concepts, anything really presented in the most honest way, not polluted by comments or views.

Such a blog had to get such a weird name: Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaargh !

Often it's shocking (which is not the main purpose, and which I find very good anyway, I love to be shaken, my narrow mind to be opened to other worlds), it's so neutral in appearance, so alive by the choice of the topics. Pretty unique ... And always amazingly interesting, free and without any limits that I know of.

Just have a look sometimes if you're curious about this lil addiction of mines ;-)

Crazy cowgirls vs floating cowboys

Drugstore Cowboy par YopEater

PS: "Even cowgirls get the blues" ... such a good title!!!

Art made of blood, semen, piss and shit?

Soooo shocking!!! Yummmy! :-)))

Andres Serrano, I knew him from this fantastic photo he made for Metallica's album, Load

the original artwork was called "Semen and Blood III", the visual was actually made of bovine semen and blood between two sheets of plexiglass.

Andres said about it: "Lars and Kirk were very into abstract art pretending they were gay. I think they knew it bugged me. It was a statement around all that. I love art, but not for the sake of shocking others. I think the cover of Load was just a piss-take around all that. I just went along with the make-up and all of this crazy, stupid shit that they felt they needed to do."

The thing is... I LOVED that cover, that visual from the very beginning. It was kinda disgusting, looked like blood and saliva to me. But the movement, the shape, it seemed very alive. The colours too.
Once I learnt it was made of blood and semen, I found it even more beautiful. Just regret it was of bovine origin and not human.

Maybe this Piss Christ is his most famous work, because of the controversy it brought...
(Recently in Avignon, the photography frame was even destroyed ... The gallery director plans to reopen the museum with the damaged works   "so people can see what barbarians can do ").
This Piss Christ is actually a photo of a plastic crucifix immersed in the photographer's own urine.
Serrano defended his work as a criticism of the "billion-dollar Christ-for-profit industry" and a "condemnation of those who abuse the teachings of Christ for their own ignoble ends". His work was also damaged in Australia, and neo-Nazis got violent at a Serrano exhibition in Sweden in 2007.
Enough controversy to make it really interesting to me. Besides, honestly I love that pic. I did not know how it was made, but I found some warmth in it, the light, everything, I liked it. Now I know it's a Christ in urine, it makes it crazily interesting! I love it.
Yes it's shocking, but the criticism are not always against religion (mine would be of course!)... Some say it's the Christ's glory despite the world ugliness, etc.
Sister Wendy tells her view in the most adorable and open-minded way here.
Yes, shocking and provocative... but it pushes people to talk, and I do love that!
You can see more of his work here
I love his work on weapons, guns, the "objects of desire" series.. (btw, I love the titles he gives to his art pieces, so very important!)
I'm still wondering about his next show  ... It's pretty extreme... huhu... : ))
I was surprised by that Evil shit ... not by the shit itself (which looks like a yummy brownie, really), but the title of it "Evil shit". Makes my imagination running already. Which Evil ? And if Evil can produce such shit, it makes Evil very real... you can build a whole story around. I like it. ** shrugging **

Newly inked

Sunny has made wonderful job on my arms today.
I got the new tattoos I really wanted and even better than I thought. Such an artist !

Sunny worked as fast as she could, for hours. I was totally amazed. You feel the physical energy tattooing requires. It's crazy, physically very intense... And behind you have the concentration and the artistic work.

I got tattoos on both arms. Gotta decorate them more. I'll tell you more about the tats when they are visible. Right now they're healing.
The first arm was fine... but the second... (I'm such a chochotte!)... I felt every needle in the skin. I felt as if my skin had decided to resist, to fight back. Suddenly my skin felt so thick. A thick wall fighting against the needles. And that was painful. Not what Sunny did, but the way my skin was tensed, like under pressure, resisting.

Tonight I'm exhausted, no more physical energy. I wonder if Sunny feels the opposite, as if there had been some kind of energy transfer or something like that. But she worked so hard, I'm sure she must have felt tired from it.

A wonderful experience. With such an artist!

(I'll have more!)

And now... back to healing : )

We are what we think, right?

That's a bit scary because what happens when I do really think about just nothing, or... stupid things, or hot sex etc.
Does that make me like nothing? or stupid? or obsessed?
Maybe : )
That's not so important.
Just thoughts.

Today I am broken because I have lost someone SO dear to my heart. Life is unfair and cruel.

Today I am kinda relieved, because I start to understand (and get answers about) what Lola gets. A form of epilepsy that happens at night only. More tests at the Necker hospital to come. Her crisis should disappear when she's a teenager. That's still very painful for the mom that I am.

Today I wonder how people can expect politicians to be "moral examples" ? They're politicians!!

Today... actually the other day (lol) I wondered why it was so chocking that Bin Laden smoked pot and watched porns? Are the media trying to make him popular or something? ;)

Today I wonder (not) if it's appropriate to make jokes about Hitler, or DSK and the Sofitel's woman. What are your limits with jokes? I think personally, it's the talent of the one making jokes that makes anything possible. Talent and sensitivity.

Today I wonder a lot. And that feels good.
