Gay Paris

I have a dream, that one day on the red grey hills of Paris I'll be showing you what you've never seen ;-)

I've dreamt I was getting a most exciting job (lol and I mean it): showing Paris to innocent eyes... Being a tour guide! haha!

I wanna do that, really really. I love so much my city and enjoy so much the company of * visitors * that I think I am made for this job (and a few hundred other ones actually). I'll be talking all the time, showing off my knowledge, making bad jokes, teasing the curiosity of people around. Yes that fits!

and here's my master, master!

November's always in the shadow ..

... Of December and Christmas!
I'd hate to be November, honest!

I don't know how to deal with Christmas this year... I hope my babes will get the best of it. Well ok, they're already having a taste of it : )

What have I captured here?

This photo of Lola...

She's actually watching Paris from le Sacré-Coeur but... it was as if she tried to look at (the past, the future?), she's upset, insecure?

I don't know.

Yeah.. it's just a face expression, but I don't see often that expression on my shrimpette's face. I wanna cuddle and reassure her.

The past was great and the future will be.

Running girls, trying to catch up with the sun

I'm quite proud of our 6km race... we were, what 25.000 and arrived among the first thousand which is so cool. Best time was 22 minutes, we arrived all together at 36 minutes 35 seconds. It was raining (pavements were so slippery), I had to stop and fix a shoe (rolling eyes), and when I saw my babes, I kinda stopped to go to see them, they were SO proud!

I ran with Michelle and Nadège but I was also part of the team from Martin's company. And among the girls from the (big) company... I was the 2nd one! Right after one who runs very often, super trained!
I never run, or hardly (when in Brittany or Hamburg!)

haha!

Last summer bits & very short stories

The hobbit house is closed till next holidays and my perfect tan is going to vanish soon (tragic sigh)

But I am ...

Excited
I'm back in Paris and that rocks. So much to do, so much work to do, so much hard training and sweating sessions,... and also so many mojitos to share !
(I'll soon stop talking about mojitos because they're said to be totally out of fashion. grmmphhh! Time to drink something else, huh! any idea?)

Shocked part 1
I thought kids started again with school next week. Wrong!!! They still get 2 weeks of holidays! OMG, in my mind I was starting a new life from next week! But Noooooo!

Shocked part 2
The other day I was on the grass in the park, when a big boy, rugbyman player type, with 2 kids came to me: "Hey B! Is that you??! You haven't changed at all!"
I had the sun in the eyes (who was that guy with easy words?)... took me long seconds to recognize... the guy who used to be my BROTHER for 10 years!
LOL
Ok, I explain. My mom and his dad were married for years. We used to live together, spend all our holidays, sailed together! Then life... hard separation on our parents' side so... contacts were kinda broken... That's sad.

Anyway, We talked and talked, admired each other kids! that was SO nice. He has a flat at 100m from mine! haha
Life and its surprises : )))

Curious
I have no idea what the coming year will bring me. I'm totally excited to start it (yeah, I stick to the kids schedule. A year to me starts in September and ends in June. July and August are a kind of happy purgatory between Heaven and Hell :P)

Certain
This blog is alive 'n kicking. Just writing down all these words, sharing them with you... is very helpful. Why? I have no idea. : ))

Paris by day

Why do I love Paris? Just * that * is enough to sum it up. Paris by day on a sunny day is truly fantastic! Just stop and sit down on a terrasse, or walk along the Seine, just enjoy the polluted Beaudy and you can reach heaven :)
Paris by night is as much tempting, as much wonderful. More maybe. Secret corners everywhere. Totally magic.

Just before leaving for Hamburg on Sunday, I had lots of sport, enough to break me at least... but with a lunch on a sunny terrasse in between, that felt like heaven!

you gotta love them All Blacks ;-)

yayyy! now here we go, that's all about real rugger!

... and if you like the New-Zealand's skills, you might enjoy the French one too (different sport though, different style, I insist!) :

Weeeeee!!! got my ticket! (dancing around the totem!)

Because well, System of a Down... their separation years ago, etc. There was no hope to enjoy another of their concerts. It was totally hopeless!

8 years ago, I had a round belly, with a lil Lola inside, and SOAD's concert was one of the best concerts I had seen.

Besides Metallica and Pink Floyd, maybe Rammstein too, SOAD's concerts are on my top list. And this concert was SO unexpected. They only have 11 dates I think in Europe. With 2 in Paris. The first date was sold out before I could shoot! Thank god they added another date. The 8th of June. Just can't wait!

Time with my lil wolf

I gotta say, shopping with Lola is much more fun, because she's like a lil lady : interested in shoes and stuf that really matters :P

But spending some time alone with Loup is also very funny!

Well of course you have to resist his strong desire to get new weapons... and he can be REALLY insistent and determined (sigh!)

... but then, he is so alive, curious, funny, open to anything, that even spending 45 minutes in the metro turn to be a real exciting adventure!

His imagination goes beyond what I could believe possible. And that makes life with him very unique!

So choux mes Schu !

How to survive in Paris (#2) ??
... What can you do when when your shoes are SO wet that you're about to catch death any time you wear them?

I've got the answer! Finding new ones! Supa waterproof of course!

(I do love the rain!)

These boots are not in leather, cheap materials (soooo, cheap boots!), but I fell for them, had to get them! And I don't regret! They rock, I'm flying with them on! Oh and their box, the package, so perfect! :P (I'm so much a girl, can't help it - and I don't even try, really - !)

(I absobloodilutely need them in brown too!

No, no obsession here. It's just winter, or so, gotta distract myself sometimes!)

Memo to self : when I win lottery and get my shoe factory, I'll create 2 types for each model, a high quality and a cheap one! (and if anyone wanna steal my super concept... well... I'll bless him / her :P)

How to survive in Paris #1

... when it rains non stop for days and days, and days.

You gotta have a waterproof handbag of course! I mean, I carry my life in my handbag and I hadn't planned my life to get wet so quickly //oO\\.
I needed a waterproof bag. Found one, after days and days of exploration. Got it for such a good price!

Like with most of what I like wearing, it had to be a compromise between Indiana Jones and Marilyn Monroe. Wild, and glamour.

lol I know what you're thinking : what's wild and glamour in this bag???

* shrugging * just everything! :P

Hoist the Colours!

getting into the mood for the coming belated Halloween party !

Voilà, another fantastic Party at Michelle and Frédéric's yesterday!
Perfect cheesecakes, divine cupcakes & such a warm atmosphere! (& We had a professionnal DJ! yeah yeah!)
We had real good time. Dancing, singing, eating, drinking, games for the kids.
At the end of the party, the kids discovered for the very first time Michael Jackson's vid of Thriller. Lola's fascinated with the dancing part, Loup with the werewolf transformation! hehe
:))

We went there dressed as pirates (had no time to look for real Halloween stuff)... not super original but at least we came as pirates with a French touch: "Pirates on strike"

My metal Halloween with a pink tail

(sorry FB guys I kind repeat myself here, but you get an extra drawing at least :P)

Let me see. Back on Sunday evening.
A sore ankle and a * I want to hibernate now and for the next 6 months * kind of mood. I'm in the metro. Crossing Paris. Late for my "rendez-vous" with the cellos' guys.

I wasn't wearing anything special, just dressed in black with loooovely black boots and my favorite black necklace. But once in the Parisian metro, I was suddenly special, plainly dressed among the funniest creatures that were going to their bloody parties.
I had no idea the French were so much into Halloween!
I've had real good laughs on my way to Apolcalyptica's concert!

Well, the concert was good, but... I have actually left before the end of the show.

There's some big part of Apocalyptica that I love (my opinion is that what they do the best is covering metal or classic songs)

I reached some kind of 7th Heaven when I heard them playing for real Metallica's stuff (later they did Sepultura too, so good!)
Want a taste of it? Mmmm

if I didn't stay till the end... it's because... well, they have a singer and OMG... they shouldn't. Want a taste of it too ? (I don't force ya huh ;-). Here's one of their new sung song ;-)
Eeeeeck. nononono, the singer's style does not fit, the cellos neither. Nothing! (personal view huh ;-)

Anyway, once I left, outside to breathe fresh air, alone in the dark..... a HUGE kind of rat faced me. eeeeeck! That was my Halloween treat I guess. The rat did not move. Just faced me, while eating something. Watching me. Can't I even scare a rat??!!! Oh shit, gotta do something about that!

Reputation (not fake)

When I go for lunch at JB's, just downstairs, JB serves me 2 beers, directly (=without me asking for anything)! LOL
I swear I can never get used to that ... I mean it! :P

Of course I refuse he does that all the time!
but it's his way to make me feel welcome.

And at some point, you gotta accept with a big smile when you're offered such a pleasant surprise!

Girlie weekend

Last weekend, Martin had the time of his life in Bretonie, alone with... Loup! No girls around to stress them, it seems they will do it again ( I can't believe they find it so cool without us! :P )

On our side, oh gawd, it was so cool, quiet! (really the devils needed a break from each other, they fight a lot at the moment, and I realize I ask many efforts from Lola all the time. She deserved such a weekend!)

We were out all the time, crossing Paris, eating out, enjoying the sun, visiting girlfriends.... and shopping like girls can only do it!

For the first time in my life, I had to stop shopping because... I couldn't carry anymore the dozens of bags I had! I just could not believe it!

If * that * is not perfect decadence.... :)

Paris was so beautiful in the sun. My shrimpette in the Parisian sun was so adorable.

We had a good time. And some cool goodies in the bags :P

Summer's gone?

... But can I keep the bikini close?

26°C and a supa sunny Paris, it could be worse! I've almost fell asleep on the grass yesterday! (happy sigh)
The only 2 details that reminded me it was Autumn were the lower position of the sun & the delicious grapes we've been eating all day...

Don't you love my lil Valkyrie, holding her knife?!
Both are training hard to save the World, one day. Soon! :)

Autumn shivers

Don't you feel it in the air? So many reasons to shiver with pleasure:

-Summer's still here :P

-mushrooms are back & they take me really high (no not this kind of mushrooms!)

-reading a book that is a challenge feels incredible (pushing limits!)

-seeing Martin determined to practice as many martial arts as he can! lol That's cool! I wait for him to break bricks now!

-receiving a totally unexpected feedback from 2 customers. A wonderful feedback full of emotion (fuck, I can create that! waw!)

-enjoying 2 devils that are so happy to be back @school!

-feeling physically back on top with exercise, and that brings loooots of shivers! :)

Serj gonna feed me (at least my ears :P)

I'm just back in Paname(=a familiar name for Paris), and just realised I had a ticket for some concert tomorrow! Yeah yeah!
System of a Down's singer, Serj Tankian will perform in Paris.
I saw SOAD live 7 years ago, and I'm so happy I have this opportunity! I'm very fond of his voice and involved personality.

edit: just back from a very good concert, I found that vid from it, to give ya an idea, and I chose that song because he dreamt it a few years ago when he was in Paris :)

talking to the Chocoholics, here...

Come on, there must be at least ONE chocoholic around here! I won't ask you to quit, keep getting your chocolate fixes -I do exactly the same - :P

I've wanted to try something unique since the other day.
And the chocoholic in you is going to be jealous, I warn you :)

I saw this guy on tv, Patrick Roger... a chocolate magician. I have no word to express how much his chocolates are a temptation. Because I could follow the process of creation, the passion involved, the talent put in every of them!
Nothing industrial, based on the very best products. This guy creates magic chocolates. You'll bite them, suck them and then you'll *know* Heaven will be close.

I've experienced that today.
I had to.
I was a bit nervous, would I be disappointed?

Some are looking for crazy experiences, I look for my own ones.

Earlier today I've bitten some chocolate from there, made of basil and lemon.

I was to die from pleasure.

I highly recommend you to never resist this kind of temptation... I could feel the difference (on so many levels) between a chocolate and his chocolate.

Lulu on a toast sauce Moukmouk

Last week, I really had a fine time with a few ol' bloggers friends! (waving @Dr Caso, Moukmouk, Mel', and Lune)
I've met some I had never met before, but the meeting confirmed what I knew from them since years! :)

We've been to our *cantine* which was really perfect... So good! And always so friendly there :)

I've had there the foie gras of my life!
So so perfect!

If one of you (whistling) ever plans to come to Paris.... I take you there, you'll reach some part of Heaven, trust ol' Candy! :)

A perfect moment that make you repeat again and again that the internet is so much "real life" ! or maybe a bit better -who knows- !
