On Candle's screen

Here are the last dvds I've watched. Some real surprises here, not what I expected except for spiderman and a very long engagement...

Gothika
Really I thought it would be crap. And actually... not so much, I even enjoyed it pretty well! But as others said, no more than a M6 movie...
Halle Berry was pretty good in it, the first time I really noticed her as a *good* actress!

Mystic River
I thought this movie would be a jewl... but it was crap! (my opinion of course). Knowing it was a movie by Clint (Eastwood) was enough to make me enjoy it already...
I luuuved Clint's "High plains drifter", "Pale Rider", "Unforgiven" or "Space Cowboys", but this one... eeeeck! The topic is much worst than a M6 movie ;-). What a bad surprise.

Spiderman 2
Well, it's Spiderman, I could not expect anything really but Spiderman! Oh I had to watch it in French, and Gawd, there was a real comic effect with the way characters'names were pronounced: with a terrible American accent //oO\\. Too funny! The best part of the movie!

A la folie, pas du tout
Not my favourite type of movie, but interesting. In the first part of the movie you follow the main character, a young woman falling in love with her neighbour. You see how love makes her happy, etc.
Second part of the movie, you see the same scenes, but not from the lady's perspective. From the neighbour's perspective, and from a more objective point of view. And then only, in this second part, you discover the nightmare dressed as an obsessive woman.

Danny the dog
Hmm, I liked the poster of the movie I think. I had no idea about what to expect. I was disappointed. But I fell asleep before the end, so I can't really tell (Martin insists it was pretty good)

A very long engagement
I expected a good movie and it was. The main story isn't so exciting, but all the characters, the dialogues, the visuals, the colours, all the details are wonderful.
I can't wait for Jeunet's next movie!

The final countdown, between stress and Hapiness

I went to the hospital for the 7th month' visit yesterday and it went pretty well.
Well, except the fact I learnt last Friday (when I got some medical results) I had caught a nasty infection.
Not nasty for me, but for the baby. The baby can only caught it during the birth, which sounds stressful.
If it's not cured, it can be fatal for the baby.
I spent an awful Friday. Never felt so down.

Then I got reassured, as long as your infection has been determined, there should not be any problem. When the labour starts, I will get antibiotics, then the baby will have them and that will be enough to fight the infection.
Fewwwwww... still a bit stressing, but fewwwwwww nonetheless

Sometimes I think we would live more happily without knowing so much about our health. But I've realized it is very stoopid to say that. I thank Gawds for having discovered this infection in time!!!!!**~~*^* *

Anyway, about the rest, it went *sunnybabanas*!
The baby's going well, his head is already downward (but I think he moves so much that it can change again). I heard his heartbeats... the sweetest music **~~*^* *
The *lil door* is still very closed and this is such a relief!
The tests show no sign of diabetes (that can often appear during the pregnancy.
And the fattie detail, in 5 weeks I took 2,5 more kilos (at home it shows 4 kg, but nebermind!!).
That makes a total of 7 kilos in 7 months. Could be worse!

When I came back home I shared lots of bread and nutella with Lola to celebrate those 2 lil kilos! LOL

In less than 2 weeks, I will have my last baby scan, a few days later my 8th month' rendez-vous at the hospital.
I have also taken rendez-vous with the anaesthetist to be ready for the birth.
There are 2 months left, yeah, but you start to feel very well birth is just at the corner of next street!

I think I start trembling in my boots somehow, somewhere ;-)

Daily sweets

The other day, Penny wrote a supa blog about all what makes her feel *guuuud*.
It's just that when life isn't easy or when you never take the time to sit down and relax, you tend to forget all the lil pleasures that can make your day.

Soo here's my *lil pleasures* list... writing it down here just helps me to *see* how Life is simply beauDiful !

I feel good when...

Martin arrives from work on Friday evening
I don't have to cook
I sleep a full night without waking up
Martin offers to massage me
Lola tells me she loves me, just like that
Lola, Martin and I fall asleep on a weekend afternoon
I have time to read
I manage to drink my cawffee before it's cold
I open the door to discover one or two friendly postcards
I take care of meself, painting nails, massaging meself with perfumed creams, etc
I don't run out of time
Lola falls asleep in my arms
I finish a painting
I write a bloggie, just like now while Martin and Lola are playing and laughing hard
I start my day with a cawffee+milk and a hot pain-au-chocolat
Martin and I takes the time to play together
Martin and share a glass of wine and start with inspired talks
I wear lovely shoes and lovely ear-rings and lovely underwears (the 3 of dem go purrfectly together)
Martin talks to my belly
I get news from friends and relatives
I fall in love with a new music band
I can put music as loud as I wanna
I eat profiteroles or a banana split without feeling *baaaad* :P
etc!

And here I check that list and realize I've already got many lil pleasures today!
(dancing around**~~*^* *)

The 2 last *high season* postcards

I'm kinda happy we haven't made many pics, it would have been too much work for my lil postcards :P
For the relatives and friends who're not on the postcards, your turn will come, huh ;-)

Renovation in process (neee, still not into botox yet!)

I'm not sure it's a good idea to show you the pics of what we've done in the hobbit house during these 3 weeks.
The pictures do not reflect so well the amount of work, you see ;-)

Before anything, I wanna thank Markus, Jeremy, Patrick and Esox who more than helped us (anyone around to subscribe for next summer, hm?! :P)

Our days were wonderfully organized (bowing :P)
From about 8.00 am to 3.00pm, the courageous ones went to work on the house, and then the rest of the day, we could enjoyed some real holiday time (beach, etc).
Well, now I think of it, a good thing the weather wasn't that guuuuud! (phewwwwww even!)

Okies, so here are the results of liters of sweat and kilos of swallowed dust...

Each part is still "in process" so it's hard to show you the real beauDy of it... You've to get a *visionary soul* to imagine how it will be one day!

Here Markus and Martin have installed stairs to go from the first floor to the second one. Stairs are one of the most expensive stuff if you ask a professional to make it. We decided to do it by ourselves when we saw on several professional quotations it costed about 3 000 euros!!!.
Next time, we have to install the handrail and to treat the wood. The stairs will be much darker.
Where you see the plastic piece under the stairs, we will make the toilets. Yup! hehe... We've to use every lil corner in the house if we want to make of it a palace!

The dining room in process (be visionary, pulllease!). We've cleaned the walls partially to renovate the stones, and same for the chimney. Much much work has been done here.
Next step will be cleaning the stones (which have much paint on them, argg), cleaning the joints and making new ones. Then the ceiling, the floor, the chimney and other stairs to join the first floor.

The chimney on the first floor. A purrfect example of what we mean by renovating the stones and the walls! We thought we'd call a professional again here because the chimney got many huge cracks that looked dangerous... But hey, what can stop us?! ;-)
We've learnt and repaired the cracks the proper way before renovating!
On the first pic, you see no ceiling, it was open to the roof (the old ceiling had just turned into dust). So again we decided to make by ourself the floor/ceiling (above will be our bedroom). It was very hard, because you've to dig into the stones to install the joists (ou solives, les petites poutres qui soutiennent le plancher).
In this room, there will be the puters, the paintings and bagpipe stuff, and sofa/beds for friends. We've to work on the floor next time, it's turning into dust too...

Our bedroom! (and on the other side of the door, where the new stairs come, the kids' bedroom). There was no (more) floor, so we built a new one. I jumped on it and I'm still alive, so yeahh, it's great work!
We won't put a beauDiful wooden floor on top of it because we'll put fitted carpet there.
Next step here, the roof isolation and inside covering of it + renovation of the walls.

(yawn)
So much to do!

Anyway, now you know everything!
Sorry for the bad photos, next time we'll have sun and it will look pretty better!:)

Tower, Bonheur, Pleasure!

Yesterday evening, we spent a delicious evening in company of 2 *speschul* friends!

Yup, at the very last minute, Mel', Fennelin and the 3 of us decided to meet for an unexpected picnic at the feet of the Eiffel Tower :)

We could have gone in a more intimate place (lol, anywhere else was simply more *intimate*), but at the end it was just purrrfect, the tower had never been so beauDiful, Lola loved it, and we could spend a great time together (happy sigh)**~~*^* *

nothing wrong with your eyes here, but wanted to keep it anonymous enough ;-)

A 7 months-old belly

Seven months already! Yeahhhhh!!!
The *mini-boy* is expected end of October, which sounds to me like in about a hundred years!

I feel heavy... but hell, I AM heavy! :P
No more cat walk for me, my balance is changing (the heaviest part isn't on the side of my bum anymore! True!) so I have to adapt to it.

And the bigger my belly gets, the more painful my back is. Oh that's about the most boring part, as soon as I lay down on a bed or sofa, I'm totally blocked, no need to tell you I spend wonderful nights!
Talking of nights, the *wild moments* are kinda forbidden now, they provoke contractions whatever effort you make (isn't that very unfair?!)

Then (singing the Who's *Acid Queen*) you get the stomach part, playing with acid stuff, you feel like it's burning inside. Yeahhhhhhhhhh!!!

Who wanna be preggie again?

And soon I won't be able to control meself anymore and will simply pee in my pants if you make me laugh (so please let's talk politics and religion only!).
When I sneeze, it's even worse and as you've noticed I catch a cold about every 2 weeks!

What else? Hmmmm... I can't go by car more than 30 minutes anymore (bad vibes from the car make nice lil contractions!) which make it impossible for me to go back to Bretagne before the end of times!

And the cherry on the cake is when you're in your 6th month and some woman come to you telling she was just like that at her 9th month! grmmppph!!!

BUT

There was a time when I wanted my pregnancy to last forever!!!... to enjoy it... and also for fear of suddenly getting overbusy with a new babe.
Now I've to thank Ma' Nature to make me getting over impatient to hold my baby!!!
hehe**~~*^* *

The *mini-boy* moves so much, I almost should make a film of my belly when he starts to play. You can see waves and mountains popping out of my belly (lol or almost) all the time.
I'm impressed! (lol he's kicking right now as if to agree with what I'm typing!). He moves much more than Lola used to do! And I have no fear playing with him (pushing him here and there when he kicks too hard, etc) hehe.
That is wunnnerful***~~^^* *~~~*^^* *

Oh, we have found a name for him!!! We've let Lola chosing between 2 names, 2 very different ones. So that's done, you will know it in a couple of months, I swear it! (lol, sorry for teasing)

The *mini-boy*'s weight is about 1kg300 for a size of about 36cm (my painful back confirms all that)
He takes about 200g everyweek now. He needs a lot of energy so no surprise I feel hungry again and tired again.
They say in the last 2 months, no chance to feel hyperactive again (I can't remember being hyperactive while being preggie anyway!). The last 2 months, you keep giving all your energy to the greedy lil angel.

The baby can recognize voices and music now. His eyes are now open and he can feel the differences of tastes according to what you eat.

(happy sigh)**~~*^* *

Next chapter: next week with another visit to the hospital.

It's raining men? Not in Bretagne, I tell you!

Haaa summer in Paris, so many shops closed around, so few people in the streets, so many free parking place... soon I'll be convinced pollution is on vacation too!
Honestly, it's wonderful. The sun's shining hard, Life seems to be slower than usual, the vibes are warm.

The sea would be around, it would be heaven.

But you just can't have everything, can you?!
We could enjoy the seaside and countryside for 3 whole weeks. Too bad the sun wasn't much synchronized with our time there!
(having a jealous thought for Lithium who must be having the time of his life there... now it's warm and sunny! grrmmppphhhh)

Anyway, despite the rain, we jumped into the sea almost everyday (hey la Manche -the English Channel- at almost 20°C, that was something!). The sea. It was the only place where I did not feel like a whale, funny, no? :P

(by the way, Thorsten, if you read that blog, you've to gimme back very quickly the film you made of us all in swimsuits playing on the beach! You remember?! Or just burn it, ok? thank you! hehe)

Swimming with rain around is nice yeah (...), except that after a week I caught a fookin cold (yup, again...)! Just got rid of it a couple of days ago.
Ewwws nasty virus, now stay away from me, I'm gonna take my revenge very very soon!

That kinda spoiled my time there. Coughing like an oldie for hours, hardly sleeping. (why am I happy to be back in Paris, enjoying summer in the city? I wonder!)

Thank Gawd the fireplace is huge there and worked 70% of the time! :-)))

The family house was full with friends and relatives all the time, which was really kewl. The average was about 10 people. Martin's family, mine, friends from Germany, then from France.
I can run a castle now! If I can do it with a house full of people while being fully preggie, nothing's impossible!

It was fantabizooby to have so many visits. Much help with Lola and even more with the *hobbit house*, and definatly brilliantissima late evenings (if I forget the fact I only drank agua con gas! arggg)
I'll give ya details about the works in the house later, I promise:)

Now, raise your hands, who's been on holidays? who's enjoyed summer in the city? Both have their advantages, rilly! :P

the sun was there! Look at the waves glittering!

Anyway, Bretagne with or without sun is magic. Isn't it a land of pirates, fairies and happy souls after all?**~~*^* *^^* *

wavin!!!

I just could not stay away from Gulli any longer (roaaaar)! I came back to Paris 2 days ago, but could not find the time to sit down and relax with ewwws (sigh)

I have to recover from these holidays I tell you :P

Just to let you know, I'm doing well, even though I feel fookin exhausted. Before telling you more about these holidays and jumping into your blogs, I've a few exams to do (pregnancy stuff) and boring administrative papers to deal with (just lost some financial help, the most wonderful "after holidays" surprise :P)

Anyway, I'm RILLY happy to be around and can't wait to see all what happened in your bloggies!
Yeaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhh

Catch ya just a lil bit later :-)))**~~*^* *

I'll be back ...

...so behave!! (kidding!) Don't behave, please!!!!
Mwaaaa**~~*^* *

"The world is a better place without fear"

(Amen!)

I guess you've all heard about the site "we're not afraid" (same basis as the "we're sorry" site, do you remember?)

You should have a look at it (why not even participate?), not so much for the messages that are ermm basically the same (lol), but for the creativity expressed to share that message; I like a lot that concept :-)**~~*^* *

6th month

I've just had my 6th month' visit to the hospital yesterday.
And mr *mini-boy* and I are going purrrfectly! I expected some contractions and inner bits modifications, but nenene. It's all ok!
(happy sigh)

The only thingie that bothers the gyno and her colleague (why are they always 2 for the visists there? I wonder! I wish it would be more ermm intimate!), anyway, what bothers them is the time I'm going to spend by car during the holidays.
Ok, I'll be careful and that's all. They've given me tons of helpful medication "just in case". So it's gonna be ok :)

As for my weight... + 500 grammes! 500, my lucky number! I *noe* weight should not be a problem when you're preggie, but believe me... when you start with the 4 last months, you don't want to lose control over that!
So in the past month, I just took 500 grammes which is fine. Newt will be terrible then, it works like that, with me :P

But but... from the 26th week of pregnancy (next week for me), *they* say the baby and I will share an average of 400 new grammes every week. Ouch!

Our *mini-boy* should have a weight of 750 grammes now for a length of about 32cm. He swims happily (I feel him so often!) in a magic swimmingpool whose water is automatically changed every 3 hours. Paradise, hey?!
He can now suck his thumb, and he can start to cry!!!! Awww, can you believe that?!!! I won't let that happen!

I've new vitamines to take, iron, etc, that should help me with my so painful back. I'm very often blocked and it's fookin painful. You clearly feels that the hips and inner bits are getting somehow larger, spreading, for the final sprint! hehe

Despite the lil painful bits, Pregnancy's magic, definatly**~~*^* ***^^* *

Dragoness' embrace

Here's a new painting that I can add to my series of, of... hmm... fantasy stuff? lol. Let's say it's the series on a whitish background. Yussss.

You just can't have a fantasy gallery without dragons, it's like hmm.. not selling beer when you have a pub! Impossible! :P

I don't know yet what kind of love there is between the dragon and the dragon-ish woman... Lovers? Not really no. Brother and sister? Sister and sister maybe, yes. Niece and Auntie? lol

Memory back to life

Like every year, I've decided it was time to *organize* (eeeck, what an ugly word!) my archives. Text and photos.

I started with my 2004 blog. Had it printed. 255 pages that I have now to put together. When I look at my 2002 and 2003 "printed" years of blog, it's fookin cool to have them on paper. Zillions of souvenirs in a few pages. Very Preciousssss :)

And then I decided it would be the purrfect moment to get prints of our favourite photos. You know what it is with digit cams, you never have your photos printed anymore usually.
But I miss that. I luuuuvee photos albums.
We haven't had any print since hmmm august 2004. About a year! So I managed to select about 220 photos and hope to get the prints by Tuesday. I still wonder how much it gonna cost... eeeeck...!

"A CV is a marketing tool"

(running towards the bucket, throwing up that *marketing* word into it ;-)

I have given up since ages with the idea of getting a proper CV.
My original CV tells I've made great studies in English (lol! Don't laff, I am the only one allowed here ;-) and then studies in "international trade". Supa kewl.

Life has changed, and my original CV has been burnt (doing the yeepeeefree dance just thinking of it).
What a relief.

As I'm only starting in the illustration biz, as I haven't followed any "art courses" or participated to real painting exhibitions yet, it is hard to make a new CV.

So Martin and I thought we could make just a presentation page that I could use sometimes. Like right now, with the new manuscript I'm sending to editors.
The result on the paper isn't bad at all. I hope it will be a lil "plus" to attract the attention on my manuscript... who knows!

Sooo...: running to the bucket, looking desperatly for that fookin *marketing* word, it wasn't such a terrible one at the end! (shrugging) ;-)

Herman #4

Et voilà, I've just signed a fourth contract for the Herman series! :-)
This time it's gonna be about a lil boy who's deaf.

It should not be printed too soon. Maybe at the same time as 2 other new "Herman" next year. We'll see.

But signing another contract just before leaving for holidays is fookin kewl :)

1+1 = ????

Yesterday we discovered that the shrimpette could count in both ways: 1..2..3..4..5..6.., etc and 6..5..4..3..2..1..
So I thought I'd make of her a genius teaching her the basics ;-)

A fly was turning around us. I asked her: "what do 1 fly + 1 fly make?" And she said: "2 flies!" (while shrugging)
(Oh gawd, Lola was really turning into a genius!)

Then I said: "Soo, what do 1 mama + 1 mama make?". She shrugged again and answered: "But that makes... 1 fly!"

(...)

What's happening in my cauldron?

Ouch! 2 posts about food today and I swear it (spitting!), it's not my fault! ;-)
Rather France and Fennelin's fault, naturally!
France, a *blogfriend* of blogfriends, has just given me the boiling cauldron to answer a questionary. (I translate it in English in my way, as usual, ok?).
About France, I know about nothing, except her food habits ;-), and her sense of humour and sensitivity that come along with her comments on the bloggies I visit. The rest is to be discovered, which is kewl. Time will make its work :)

Anyway, here we go with the questionary:

Do you remember your very first time (S) ? (the first time you cooked! tsss!)
yup! 2 spoons of mud + 100g of daisies + 2 white stones and 3 brown ones. Add a lot of water and mix everything together.
That was my first soup! (bowing)

What has influenced your way of cooking?
Love. I can cook for my other half, for the shrimpette and friends. They're my main motivation to spend time in the kitchen.

Do you have an old pic showing you started really early to express yourself in the culinary world? Wanna share it with us?
Well, all my pocket money was spent for candies. I luved them all, except the flying saucers with powder inside, you know?
So the way I expressed myself in the culinary world was just to satisfy my sugary fantasies.
With on top of my list, the chocolate teddies:

yummmmm!

Do you have some kind of "culinary phobia"? Some recipes, dishes, that would make you run away, screaming?
Using boiling oil to cook anything. It stinks and makes me feel I'm getting fatter without even eating anything. Yuuuuck
Then when it comes to food... Beef tongue, tuna and Eels... I just can't stand fish'taste in general, but tuna and eels... it's just the worst of the worst (and beyond the taste, I get the Die Blechtrommel's images stuck in my mind!)

What kitchen utensil do you use the most often? Which one do you almost never use?
my nose, the only ustensil that will tell me if it gonna be a success, or not.
I never use robots, broke the last one I tried to use!

Tell us what kind of strange food association you really like?
camembert + honey, raw beef without any association at all (hard question at the end, because all what I eat seems normal to me!)

What are the 3 dishes or type of food that you abso bloodilutely need to *live*?
beef (carpaccio or tartare), seafood, (water)melon + cakes in general (flan, millefeuille, St H., éclair au café, tarte aux myrtilles). I'm serious, I rilly need them! :P

Is there another question you'd have liked to answer here?
I'm actually glad nobody asked "how much do you spend with food every week?", that would be scary if we really counted.

Your favorite icecream?
mango

You'll never eat...:
(I'll never eat..."again") rice pudding (well I had it once during my first trip in UK, I thought I'd die!!! I think I did actually, for a few minutes!)

What's your favorite dish, the one you always make purrrfectly:
I don't like to cook, it's a man's job of course ;-)! But, I am VERY good at la crème aux oeufs (eggs'cream?), the one you had with your grand mama when you were a kid, you know?

Now.... whoever, spending more than 5 minutes in the kitchen everyday, is allowed to answer this questionary on his/her blog! Ohh Yeahhhhhh!

Fennelin's pie: tested and approved!

My grand-ma came back from hospital last weekend. She went there 2 times in 3 weeks (sigh), and she isn't ready to go back there again before a hundred years me thinks!
She's ok, a bit exhausted though...

But not exhausted enough to stay away from her kitchen to prepare some great family lunch!
Last weekend, we told her we'd bring the dessert, keeping in mind Fennelin's recipe: his cherry pie!

I prepared the cherries, then Lola made the pie with the help of Martin! Watta family organization! :)
In 10 minutes it was done, ready to be put in the oven. Heaven!
And the result was really RILLY good, a success with the whole family!

Thank you, Fennelin!

I don't like to cook, well I actually hardly ever cook, lol... but trying friends' recipes is fantastic, another way to be connected with them, to discover bits of them.
Sooo, my cooking gang is ready for anything new, easy and yummy! :)

For the non french-speaking ones, here's the recipe (sorry for the baaad translation):
1 short crust pastry
300g of cherries
5 eggs
140g of sugar
100g of almond powder
90g of butter

You mix the eggs + sugar + almond powder, add the butter, then put it on the pastry and add the cherries. Put in the oven for 45 min. Et voilà, Guten Appetit!

Dorothée Catafée

One long year after I've started with my *new book project*, I've finished it!
The manuscript is ready to be sent this week to a first wave of editors.

48 pages with illustrations (I will show you more soon, no time right now). Which is a lot!

The story?
In a few words... Dorothée Catafée (easily translated by "Dorothy Catastrofairy") is a young magician learning to be a great one. But she's never really careful with her tricks and spells and often makes mistakes that provokes "catastrophes". This time she makes disappear all the cats around. The mice will take the opportunity to enjoy life to the maximum (eating all what they can) which will make them huge and will be the beginning of a series of terrible problems.

I prefer not telling much for now, but I've worked hard for the book to be funny first (story and illustrations), adapted to young children, and dealing with a topic dear to my heart: the environment and how our apparently insignificant actions can damage it.

I'm proud (well, yes!), my best work regarding manuscripts so far. I just cross my bits tight so that an editor gets interested with it.
And if it does not work here (but sometimes you have to wait 6 months before getting an answer!!!), I will try with German editors in autumn! RoaRRRRRRR!

Happy happy 4th!

America's celebrating its birthday today, and I join my glass of champomi to their glass of (what do American drink on party time?) exotic beverage!

America's an easy target for us arrogant French (as we are for them I think ;-), just because we look at life differently probably. Stoopid, no?

Well, I will still spit in the bucket when it comes to death penalty there, international politics, the NRA, their rather extreme nationalism and lots of other topics that make me tremble in my boots.
And why do we talk and criticize that much America when it comes to these fields? Not because of some kind of stoopid hatred I think, rather because America's a kind of leader, whether we want it or not, and as a leader, as a "leading democracy", we expect a lot from them.
We love them to promote freedom, of course, but not with the guns.
That's about it on my side.

Culturally speaking, I gotta say I'm almost in love with America. Its writers, its poets, its independent cinema, its music. Only a beauDiful country could give birth to so many talented souls!

Lucky French

Live 8 in Tokyo: Björk
Live 8 in London: Pink Floyd, McCartney, Madonna, U2, etc
Live 8 in Moscow: Pet Shop boys

... Live 8 in Versailles: Kyo, Axelle Red, Calogero, David Hallyday, Florent Pagny, etc.

Something rather strange with the last gang of singers, neeee? :P

If you're not French or from a French-speaking country, you've probably neber heard of our Live 8's gang; and if you think you've missed anything here... well I really can't help you!

"Dis, comment tu t'appelles?" "A440"

How is it going on your musical planet?
I wanna crispy news, good advice about new albums, etc!

On my planet, hmmm, less news than I'd like!
I bought the last Garbage, which is (yawn) average. I also got the last Apocalyptica, which was so disappointing, and same with Sin City soundtrack. Just had to sell them again immediatly! It's done ;-)

And then I found a lil treasure: Beck's last album, Guero.

I don't hear much about Beck, but his albums are always something, I tell you. So creative, so inspired! Just what I need :-)**~~*^* *

About concerts, it's getting quiet... The only one that one should not miss is Depeche Mode on next february! A bit less exciting than a few years ago, but yet, it's DM! RoaRRRRR

But then, if you'd rather pay to have a good laugh (my opinion, huh), you have much more choice... see, lots of funny concerts to come: A-Ha, Alice Cooper, Brian Adams, Michael Bolton, Scorpions, Korn or..tada... Motorhead! LOL
I still wonder which is the funniest, all of them get their own ermm *funny charm*!

And for the 2 only Motorhead's fans on earth that I know, James Hetfield, and Martin (nods nods!), here's one of the best Motorhead picture I've ever seen:

(droooling...not!!!:P)(LOL)

Cheers, boys!

In the boots of a fatty, yeahh, but a happy fatty!

I'm starting my 6th month now, hoping it will be one of the best!
So far, month #4 was really good. Month #5 welcome me with that fookin cold and much tiredness again. I wish I could take medication, tea and honey are just not enough at all!
But I'm ok today (even if Lola woke 3 times last night), which is an excellent sign!

Our *miniboy* moves enough to remind me he is my best vitamine ;-) But he moves way less than Lola for the moment, which is kewl.
Now he seems to require much more space than the shrimpette. My belly inflates without any way to control it a bit. The photos below are a good proof of it :P

I am not longing forward getting more kilos now, I tell you.
I still wonder about women telling they feel so wonderful when they're preggie!
You feel heavy and slow all the time, the libido finds it hard to express itself as wanted, you start to feel it hard to move or walk quickly, you find it impossible to sleep properly, the belly and back are getting more and more painful too (the uterus getting bigger, it clearly pushes everything around! ouch! ;-).

Talking of sleep, I wake up several times in the night, and always one time at 5.43 am precisely! A couple of friends told me it was a *sign*, the *miniboy* will join in the very early morning. Hehe... I hope not! Make him join at about 11.00 am on the weekend, that will be purrfect!

Anyway, I have time to think about that:)

I've just read that when you start the 6th month, the papa can stick his hear to the mama's belly and listen at the baby's heartbeats! No kidding!!! We try that tonight! Wooooo!!! (lol when I tell Martin "oh tonight I wanna try *something* new!", not sure he'll expect the heartbeats! hehe)
Our *miniboy* should have a weight 560g and is not about 28 cm long. When I read such measures, I still look at my belly as if it was a magic box! ;-) **~~*^* *

Soo, I'm now in the second part of the pregnancy, which I'll call the *biggest* part which means everything! :P

And I, still holding my cupotea!

I start only to get some voice back, still coughing, feeling horrible.
From my perspective, my *social* weekend was a bit like hmm, tiring. I was completly dead, without being able to talk despites real efforts; and the heat was just like an acid cherry on a green cake! ;-)

But yeah, I'm doing beder than a couple of days ago! No that bad!

So, my plan is to be antisocial for 2 weeks now, to recover just in time for our holidays :P

Well of course, on my bloggie it's all different, my fingers being so talkative, they won't have a break :P
Cheers, big ears!

Lola's holding the reins

From a general point of view, we had a purrfect weekend.
Visiting Lola's school on saturday, meeting her teacher, discovering minitables, minichairs, minitoilets, minibeds (for the naps), maxinoise (the kids were so excited to discover for the first time what school is! lol, that won't last!)

Then Marine's baptism (my niece) which went really well, exotic atmosphere, heat, lot to drink, enless talks about summer's holidays, etc.
And on Sunday we went to the second part of Arnaud's wedding, which was really kewl. We've been welcome as part of the family and Lola could enjoy some horse riding!

Yusss, She was the youngest, the smallest of the kids, but they accepted she rides a bit (she was so excited).
For not even 3 years old, she did well, I tell you! Very concentrated!
So much concentrated that each time she was asked a question, she answered automatically "her name is Lola!" (she does not say yet "my name is lola" btw, lol).

She could ride Tipi (her old horse) for about 15 minutes. She loved it. Gotta show you the film I made of it :P

And as I was filming I thought, she had turned again a bit more independent. Not fearing riding a big horse, getting ready to attend school in a couple of months... and being clean since 10 days now! Yeahhhhhhhhh! She almost never pees in her pants or bed (except lil accidents) anymore, that's so kewl! And a good thing done, since they ask your kids to be totally clean when they start with school (which is a major stress for parents!), otherwise they're sent back home...

I'm proud of my lil horse rider **~~*^* * *^^* *^^* *

Holding my scarf, challenging my electric fan

Bloody fan, you're guilty!

I'm going to start a highly social weekend, with a very alive cold, and a bloody broken voice!

Lola's school to visit this morning, a baptism this afternoon and second part of a wedding tomorrow... and when I think friends and relatives there won't be able to enjoy my delicate sense of humour! No, instead I will nod and repeat 10 times in a mafioso's voice "I'm feeling ok" and "yes I'm very happy to expect a babyboy"!
hehe

Grmmmppphhhh

Wish me luck... and voice!

When moons get full

While summer's solstice has just been celebrated on this side of the planet , a full moon is joining the party tonight!
Mom' Nature is very *guuuud* at her job :)

If somehow the moon had the magic power to help me to get rid of that bloody cold of mine, that would be kewl. Feeling sick with 34°C starts to be boring!
Well, and if it does not work, nebbermind, I'll survive it and will simply enjoy the unique show full moons always offer **~~*^* *

Heat

It's so hot around here (I'm not rilly complaining! ;-) that there's no way Lola and I can go out after 2.00pm. I can hardly stand such a sun and heat at the moment.. and Lola and I having a cold, it does not help!

But then through the Heat, I also see ...

Clear nights
Shooting stars
Sparkling sand
Secret dunes
Wind on skin
Burns healing

(Ice joins the scene)

The world's now melting
Zillions of colours in the eyes

My soul for a ... tequila sunrise :P

Two postcards 'n a kiss

I wonder if ol' Gulli will survive the heat! I gotta type quickly before it gets on nerves and starts threatening to explode...eeeeeck!

Our weekend was short, really, but excellent!
When we arrived late late on Friday evening, we had dinner in the garden and it was just a brilliant beginning.
We're enjoying the *longest* days of the year till tomorrow, right? I could even read my book outside without anylight except the ones of the sky till really late! Exceptionnal!

After a busy saturday morning (we've ordered our stairs and finally met our mason! yeepeeee!), we left for la playa (from about 5.00 to 9.00pm) and just enjoyed sand and water. I had forgotten these sensations... Magical!

We're back, a bit tired I've to say (high heat really kills when you're not used to it!), but counting the days till we starts with our holidays (in a bit more than 3 weeks now)! Weeeeeeeee!!**~~*^* * **^* *

Oh, I brought back 2 postcards for ewws! It's the "postcards' season", no? :P
First one of the playa and second one of the hobbits'house:)

Kenavo! We're on the road again :)

I can feel in my waters that this time we're gonna spend 10% of our weekend working (another meeting with a mason and wooden stairs to order -drooling just thinking of it-...;-)

And the other 90% will be spent on sand and in water (yes Martin I'm not joking about water! lol).
Short weekend, but full of gooodies!

Ok, 4 hours on the road (I should say 5 because of Lola's 20 emergency "weewee stops") and we're there.

Have a great, relaxing and salacious one**~~*^* *

Who wanna place a bet?

;-)
Not me, because I have no idea what they gonna tell at the hospital: second baby scan today. It happens during the 5th month in France, and this second scan can tell (if you want) if you expect a boy or a girl.
Of course we wanna know!!!
I'm so excited, knowing *that* will make our relationship with the *mini-one* much more "real"!

I'm a bit more nervous with the following rendez-vous with the gyno. When I was pregnant with Lola, at the 5th month they told me I had to stop walking and to stop waking up as much as possible (so pleasant to be preggie! ;-). No more trip, no car, no stairs, etc.
I know it's completly different from one pregnancy to the other... yet I'm still a bit nervous.

I will let you know about all that later probably, if you're nice, that is :P

edit: Sorry to come back a bit late around here, I had an exhausting day, but just equally wonderful! :)
Soooooo....

Nurse:
It's a boy Mrs.Walker Candles, it's a boy
It's a boy Mrs.Walker Candles, it's a boy

Chorus:
A son! A son! A son!

hehe
Yup, I'm expecting, we're expecting, a babyboy!Yeeepeeeeeeeeee!!!!
The babyscan was fantabizooby. The woman who did it took her time, kept talking to the baby, laughed when *he* started jumping around or to make faces, almost took him between her hands through my belly to move him slowly! He was turning, moving upside down, sometimes holding his head with a hand as if yawning, getting bored being there, sometimes trying to touch his nose with a foot, etc.
When she asked if we wanted to know about a boy or girl, she caressed my belly to help the *mini-one* turning a bit and then she asked us : "ok, so what do you see between his lil legs, hm?"
Seeing clearly like a lil match straight between the legs, I answered almost jumping.. it's a BOY!!!

There was so much emotion around, from us, that you could almost feel it physically**~~*^* *

I did not expect it at all, somehow I thought I was made to make goilettes ;-)
We're very happy, it's like a new adventure because I have no idea how it gonna be with a boy!
A new planet!!!

He's already taller and bigger than the average
and should be above 4kg on due date. Huuuuuu, let's just hope I don't put on 3 kg every month like I just did in the past one!

My rendez-vous with the gyno went really ok despite lil hmm probbies with my inner bits that I had noticed just before. You're maybe having a pizza or a royal cheese, so I won't share the details! hehe... but, no worries, all is fine! Phewwww:)

our lil beauDy,
(sowwy I just can't be modest today! hehe)

PS: Lola tries to convince us that a lil brother has to be called a "lil sister"! lol! Fun times to come :-))

The dew-drops' caress

Here's one of the paintings which is already part of the *body bits* collection:)
I made it the other day on an early morning.
Early mornings are (to me) often very motivating and rich for inspiration... as long as I'm not on a zombie mode ;-)

Enjoying morning dew

The subconscious mind of a preggie woman

(watta title, hey! I need a nap now... :P)

I usually never remember my dreams or nightmares, but since I've been preggie, I don't sleep too well.
And I remember my dreams/nightmares (funny how I don't like the words "dreams" or "nightmare" here, as if you'd say life's wether black or white, no colours between)

Anyway, without mentioning the salacious ones (never had so many of them since a couple of months!), here are just a few ones that I still remember.

the final attack
We're in the old family house in Normandie with lots of 1950s actors around.
We get prepared to face a 3 days attack from the Hitler army.
I see the soldiers getting ready outside. Inside the walls that surround the garden, I see all the familiar corners of the huge garden, the farm, the house, with our *guys* ready to protect it. I dunno how the battle went, who won, but I only remember the deadly atmosphere that came "before" the storm.

the clever Troll
We're doing a trip in UK by car with friends. Our speciality is troll hunting (eeeck!). When we arrive in Scotland, we have to awake a huge troll to kill him. But we did not expect he was that strong and that clever. He turns to be the hunter. I can see all of us running through the woods, a funny legend (am I sure of that btw?) turning into a bloody reality.

the lobster
Martin, I and the rest of the family are gangsters. Dressed like gangsters as you could see in cartoons, organizing bank attacks as we could plan a day at work. But the *dream* here doesn't deal with the robbery part. Besides being gangters, we all LUVE fishing lobsters. And we do fish, still dressed as cartoon gangters (dunno why but this detail was important! lol)

the scooter
I'm crossing Paris on a scooter, just wearing a leather coat and it's freezing. Martin and a friend of us are on scooters too. But suddenly I cross at the red light and kinda lose them behind. I wait for them at a corner but they never join. Suddenly I find a way to go into the catacombs, still riding my scooter. When I get out of the catacombs, I realize I've forgotten my scooter in them. And you know how catacombs are in Paris. A real Labyrinth. No idea were I lost it which makes me feel very stoopid when I join Martin, just barefeet.

So, doc', anything to say about all that? :P

Falling from chair

I can't believe it! Roger Waters is about to join the rest of Pink Floyd to play together in July!!!
They'd better record this one! I wanna sound and images (but sound only would be enough, I've got zillions of Pink Floyd images in the head already!)

"She smells like angels ought to smell" (Marv talking)

Sin City

As expected, we finally voted for Sin City instead of the RotS! No regret at all. We both enjoyed a looooot the movie. It was a surprise because I had never read anything from Frank Miller before... And we did not know what to expect with Robert Rodriguez; we luuuved El Mariachi, Desperado and From Dusk till Down, but not all the other movies he did.

Anyway, Sin City is not really a mainstream movie, I guess if you don't like it, you RILLY don't like it. It's definatly ultraviolent (gotta watch 10 hours of the "lil house on the prairie" to get a balance now ;-)

But beyond the *ultraviolence*, the characters, who are pretty basic, also hide some deep pains and opposite inner feelings which makes most of them hmm *tragic* I'd say.

No chance to find here a battle between the Guud and the Evil (phewww). You'll only find real baaadies and others who had to turn as baaadies to survive.

The visuals, the atmosphere, the colours, the music, the actors, the rythm, the female caracters, the malish ones too (hehe), Marv... Lot's of details that make me tell I rilly luuuved the movie. Can't wait for next one in 2006!

Psssst... Mel': I thought about you when it came to Elijah Wood... because hmmm I can't say here in Sin City he was really acting perfectly! lol! He simply does not "act" much (though his character is impressive enough ;-).. Which made me laugh ;-)

As for the other movies I've watched lately, I've got 2 pretty good surprises:

Well, you know my tastes, so you're not so surprised! lol. It was definatly not a brilliant movie, but really entertaining! Yuss m'am! (spoiler: ok, I expected a kiss from the Predator to the girl.. I'm a goil, I've pink in the head, can't help it! :P)

Arsène Lupin... I'm not a fan of the main actor at all and I was pretty reluctant when Martin rent the movie, but it was better than I thought :)

Now the 3 last ones:

No surprise with Ocean's Eleven, just an average movie to me

Yawn, that's all I could do watching *Hero*. I usually like this kind of movies, but here, I got bored.

The bad surprise of the whole series. Real crap. It's a SF series based on the Babylon 5 one (which I enjoyde, huh). We have 5 CDs of it! Watched 2 episodes, it was a torture. We're gonna sell them before wasting more time (hoping my potential "buyers" won't read this post! lol)!

Petit bonheur

The music's loud here.
Lola's gone for a day (I already miss her, but I can survive :P).
And I can enjoy the time just the way I want. An unexpected kind of freedom I'm going to enjoy to the maximum!

Yeeeeeepeeeeeeeee!!!
(dancing around)
(throwing petals here and there)
It already feels fookin guuud!

So tell me

Tomorrow we plan to go to watch a movie. Yeahhhh on a huge screen! Something that has happened hmmm twice a year for the last 3 years.

My mom is going to take care of Lola from hmm tomorrow lunchtime till Saturday lunchtime! (She is listening at my tired body's calls, see! -happy sigh-)

Anyway, as we almost never go to cinema, we must be sure at 200% of what we gonna watch, huh!
We hesitate between 2 movies... Revenge of the sith (Martin's fav') and Sin City (my fav'). I think it would be a pity to watch any of them on tv.
Hope you can help to chose!

(just tell me if there's chubaka in "the revenge", that will definatly determine my choice for Sin City! hehe :P)

edit: I hope THIS is a joke, huh!!!! ...:

Star Wars Horoscope for Taurus

You are a dependable creature, but you do tend to be stubborn.
You like material possessions and love to win at games.
You hate being bossed around or losing.
You may succumb to your physical strength when upset.

Star wars character you are most like: Chewbacca

Anything for that:

What a big week! Martin's been working really late (till about 10.00pm) and I'm taking the shape (face only, I reassure ya ;-) of a good ol' zombie.
So tired.
We don't sleep too well, Lola wakes up regularly once she's peed in her bed. And I spend my days more or less outside, running after my devilish one.

I think I've got contractions since Monday. Hard belly and painful back, can't be anything else. But you might have them from the 4th, 5th month. You just have to be careful with them.
I just cross my bits hard so that next week the gyno does not tell me I need to calm down. I just can't. One shrimpette needing me and 5 floors as the cherry on the cake. I just can't do less than I already do.

So, I'm just going to listen a bit more at my body for the next days, not forcing it to do things it really hates, you know :-)

(on my way to start my *hamac quest*)

18 pages of blah blah

I've just finished the French and English translation of the FAQ that will be on my next website.
Watta work, I'm pretty proud because it was really boring to do.
Martin has to make the German translation now... And the FAQ will be ready.

The new site is about to be complete very soon now (soon= a couple of months :P)

Another similar site will follow then, a bit more erotic (not much though). I just have some paintings that does not fit in a Fantasy/SF gallery, that's why I need this other gallery:)

Ika

(to be pronounced as a-e-ka ;-)

A big thought for Ika, my sister's dog who's just joined dogs'angels**~~*^* *
She'd been quite ill for months... Her inner bits getting really bad. And there's a point where you can't do much anymore.
Yesterday when Gwenola took her out, Ika fell, unable to walk really. Peed on herself, etc.

They went to the veterinary who told them it was time to help her with a final sleep.
My sister insited to stay wth her till the end, which broke her heart. Naturally. :((

Anyway, no more pain for Ika now...
She was a great dog. Gwenola had adopted her when she was already adult, she had been beaten and badly treated before.
With Gwenola, and Eva, my niece, who was just a baby, she found all the love she needed :-)
You should have seen Eva , a few months old, sleeping on Ika's back, cuddling her, etc. And Ika who was most careful with Eva, always sweet and devoted to the lil goilette **~~*^* *
