Un tattoo dans le cou, poil au g'nou

Got *inked* the other day (happy sigh)
This time, I chose a buderfly tattoo, which made laff our tattoo guy ("ohhh a butterfly!... man! how CUTE!")..
lol
grmpppphhhh! ;-)

Actually, you can't see it on the pic really but the butterfly is really on the exact middle of my neck, on top of the spinal column. But I find it a bit small, no?
I did not realize in time I wanted a bigger one, with wings coming on the side of my neck (lol, I can hear your: "thank gawd she did not get that done"), but ok, an ornment around the butterfly can be done later I guess, so that's fine, I'm happy.

My 2 CUTE (rolling eyes) lil dragons have a CUTE lil friend now ;-)

*******

My plan in the next years would be to decorate my spinal column.
(memo to self: my kids shall never read that bloggie! I plan not to let them get their ears pierced before, hmm their 18th year! And after much begging lol)

Well, I guess some inspired souls here reading this blog have already got tattoos or could plan having one.
Just curious, what kind of tattoo you got or you'd like to get, hm?

Babies and fathers, what a purfect team

Now, if it's still grey where you are, I hope that will change a lil, tiny bit the colour of your day ;-)

Ok, I really mean the title here, though the video below will prove you that besides making a perfect team, babies and fathers have a comic talent when put together :P

I insist that I'm not being sexist here, I know that fathers are not always like that (they can be worse! :P)

PS: if it takes too much time to load the video here, you can also watch it here

PPS: I'm turning into a real addicted *youtuber*, for the best..and the worst :P

Monday, Monday, Can't trust that day!

I'm wondering if I'll develop the title of that bloggie, or not.
(mind boiling)

It's grey outside, fog in my head 'cause my devils been awake the whole night, one with much fever the other not wanting to miss the party. Spent the morning at the doc. It's still grey outside, and the workers behind the wall make so much noise that I wonder if it's the end of the world, or not. :)
I'm a bit tired.
So I complain.
Here.
Hoping you'll tell me you share about the same Monday
(lol I'm so so nice)

Well, you can understand me, just another Monday after all..
:P

I say... and you think...

Been ages I've played to the words association game from Unconscious Mutterings
A lil fun exercice to give total freedom to your spontaneity, which often tells a lot about oneself!

okies, if you've never played at it, you just need to put the first word that comes to your mind for each of the words below:

1. Nick : ...
2. Focus : ...
3. Police : ...
4. Miles : ...
5. Earn : ...
6. Twice : ...
7. Razor : ...
8. Personality : ...
9. Dumped : ...
10. Reliable : ...

I'll put my answers in the comment box, so that I don't spoil anything if you wanna play ;-)

What Loup needs to fall asleep

his teddies? no
his beauDiful sheep? nooo
some light? music? noooooo
our arms, our bed? nenenene!

He simply needs, desperatly needs, to stroke his mama's hair..
As Martin gets about 5mm on the head, no way he can help me with that!!!

(don't worry I've zillions of such interesting posts to put on here! ;-)

"Are you Alive?"

-"Yes"
-"Prove it"

..a quote from Battlestar Galactica, the new series (I mean not the old one :P)
Thank you JL, you really found a treasure among SF series here! It's brilliant, exciting, pretty funny and much much better than I expected.

I really LOVE good series, this one has just been added to my Top 10 :P

You remember the late 1970's "Battlestar Galactica", hm?
If not, have a look at this, you will *know* ;-) :

When JL adviced us to watch the new series, I was pretty reluctant (Dirk Benedict?!!! huuuu, no thank you! hehe)... but as I know JL has pretty good tastes, we tried it. And loved it!

Here's the new version, pretty different...:

And to try to tempt you a bit more, here's the main theme... a beaudiful theme for such an action series. A perfect balance. When you hear it 10 times, you really turn crazy for it (scary, no?! :P)

Anyone around has watched it too maybe? What did you think?
If not, why not trying it, while waiting for the Desperate Housewife, prison Break, Lost, Grey's Anatomy, etc's next seasons :P hehe
Gawd, I'm addicted to my tv box or what!

Gwenola's phone call

"I'm expecting a baby boy!!!"

yeeepeeeeeeeeee!
Loup will finally get help from a lil cousin to deal with the devilish girls of the family! hehe! Very good!
(Lola on my side and Marine, 2 years old, and Eva, 8, on my sister's side)

Again, I am very impressed with all the women who are ready to have big families (+ 3 kids)..
and my sister is part of that sacred gang now!
Wowwww!
(the baby's due in March btw)

Hamburg

its buildings, its houses, beaudiful, huge roofs, many red bricks. Great architecture, modern ones too!
its parks, its HUGE trees everywhere, its large streets.. the perfect compromise between country and city to me..
its quiet cafés, full of students, often inside old cinemas or libraries. Full of charms and yummy stuff..
its different districts, the over posh one, where I could buy any flat and house, the universities one, where red brick buildings hide not so expensive flats. The punk corner, turning to be the most popular (and pretty expensive) part of the city, the red district, with our fav tatoo guys and clubs and bars.
its harbour, living day and night, hiding beaudiful lil sailing boats between 2 huge cargos..
its Elbe, a promise for travels across the seas, an invitation for delightful walks on the sand, along old captains' houses..
its pubs, where you can find amazing (and yummy) specialities, and zillions of different beers (but not so many wines, often only wine from Italy, Australia, America.. erm, no French wines! (-am I being too Frenchie?- nooo!)I could not drink Pino Griccio for 10 days you understand... had to devote meself to beers!)
its shoes shop. Boots, hundreds of boots, oh! And its second-hand shops, hiding treasures! Hamburg has turned to be my ultimate shopping adress!
its "real autumn", with most beautiful colours and perfumes around (and that is very different from Paris!)

And with such a family and friends there, well, I really feel like at home in Hamburg.
But a rainy and pretty dark home (in winter, the night come to steal a lot of light! it should definatly be another time schedule). The night start to fall at about 4!

Now the photos,

when I talk of real autumn.. here's what I meant

As for the huge trees, I'm not lying! And people are definatly like their trees there (huge, just like Martin actually! me mouse one with my 1m58!)

I believe these trees and the running Elbe give much Energy to that beautiful city.

PS: in case the Hamburg Tourism bureau need a motivated, charming and very efficient non German speaking one: you've found her!

Real holidays (I can hear you boiling with envy!)

When we arrived, after driving for about 12 hours, Martin's parents took the kids out so that we could sleep the whole afternoon.
Just typing these words make me tremble with envy!
Real breakfasts, cosy evenings when it was raining hard outside, no washing-up, no ironing, much time to jump in the car and just go for a pub, a walk or a shopping session, discovering new habits, new tastes, strawberries in beers included, the kids playing all the time with their Oma and Opa, visiting any Spielplatz possible around! waaaa....
Heaven!

So I had the time of my life, the kids too! But Martin caught an angina. That always happen when Martin stops working. Poor babe, been really sick for a few days!

But ok, we managed to enjoy ourselves I would say 90% of the time, which was already great :-)

Here's a postcard of our afternoon at the DOM fair. Despite the icy rain (which was balanced with spicy hot wines), it was brilliant!

My fav' roller coaster (I made no pic of it, too much rain), but found one of it. A pity no one never want to join me to do it! But I had an hysteric (which is THE way to be on such thingie :P) german girl near me, and we both sat on the very front seats! Terrific!

Lola playing like a purfect Indiana Jones in one of the Spielplatz:

Our evening walk here in the streets with kids holding their lantern and singing to the stars (which were well hidden above clouds I tell you!)

And Loup, holding his beer, like a purfect lil German one ;-) hehe
The lil devil now really walks and eat what we eat. He made huge progresses during the holidays!

Audio, video, disco * ... drinko, rigolo, frisco novembrum!

Oh yess, the holidays were wunnnnerful!
Imagine that: I could read a 800 pages book in 2 days (and that never EVER happens to a young mama you know!)

But we had our fav' beers too, in our fav' pubs, spent (not enough) time with our most fav' friends and relatives (argg Tanja, Oli, we've missed each other there!)

More details, and photos, to come soon, i swear it!

As for the title of the bloggie, I dreamt in Latin while in Hamburg. A whole long dream during which I spoke fluent latin! Topus classus maximus!
(if anyone has a useful meaning for such dream, I'm not far, huh :P)

* I hear, I see, I learn

What happens in 10 days? A hundreds lil revolutions!

Yup, because life is short, I enjoy catching the train when it passes near me
(lol fooking introduction for a post!)

Sooo hop hop hop, let's see how my blogwriters friends have been and what's been happening lately!

Alix has a new-new haircut, which required a high level of stress. A photo is HIGHLY expected!
Laurienna makes me want to play more at treat or tricks! Who wanna some pumkin pie again? Martin?
Mel' has been to another Paris Carnet, and I bet the beer was good enough! (drooling here)
Benoit is into new looks, for his own bloggie, and for his own self (à la Ben Kingsley). Well done!
Moukmouk introduces us Mahyconie, a beauDiful wolf, who bites into life as into some juicy apple!
Martin... well, he had a good excuse for not updating his bloggie :P
Jenny's learning Chinese (wawww, THAT sounds like a new Everest to reach) while Sylvain learns how to be a geek! lol
Angel is back, for real, after -dunno- more than 2 months to get her internet cvonnection fixed. Hmm, I think Angel uses "Free", in case you're the most patient type :P
Etol', la douce, won't let her beautiful lake down. Lucky lake :) Oh!!! And snow is arriving on her side of the planet! The white coat's on its way :)
France gets up too early on Sunday mornings! tssss, don't do that too often!
Hiro talks of flowers and hugs (if you were to run for president, I'd vote for you, Hiro san! :-)
Romuald, haaa Romuald... if I was Santa Claus, I'd check carefully before jumping into your chimney! Pretty risky I think :P
Jack is into hot toddies again (a toast for winter colds!), but keep offering us new short stories!
Miss lulu is surviving pretty well in Granbled despite bloody temperatures! Last plan on her rocket: a trip to Spain later in the year (good way to find some warmth, huh, and tapas, and sangria... ma qué calor!)

And I've not read half of what I wanted so far!
So much happens in so little time!
more bloggies to read tonight!
wooooosh

Sunday, November 05, 2006

It's Sunday and I'm about 95 years-old

... not only because holidays are over (boooo), but also because we drove all night from Hamburg to Paris, with rain and fog... to start a very long Sunday with very alive devils! hehe

my bed, where's my bed!

(I'll be back, a few years younger! Magic :-)

Tuesday, October 24, 2006

It's Tuesday and I'm 10 years old (again!)

(J'ai dix ans
Je sais que c'est pas vrai mais j'ai dix ans
Laissez-moi rever
)

Yup, today, I feel the boiling excitation you can feel when you're a kid.
We leave tonight for Hamburg, for 10 days!!!

This trip happens about once a year and we're gonna make the best of it, I tell you!

That means real holidays, nothing to do (no cooking, no washing, no bill to pay, etc., no boring adult thingie to do!), my step-mother and step-father will have fun with the kids, and there will be much time for Martin and I, time to visit all our friends there, to have fun and beers and fun and beers, and curry wursts! Ermm, and beers! hic! hehe
(what a lady I am!)

If anyone want to join us huh, you're welcome there for a party time anyday! :P

We'll be back in about 10 days, so till then, don't behave and remember that Life's definatly too short to drink cheap wine **~~*^* *

For Michelle, Angel and all the other fans of Mc Dreamy ;-)

(well I know I know he's just about nothing in comparison with Michael Scofield!)
(well, I also know we do not care for Mc Dreamy at the end)

(Jeez, my case is desperate I fear!)

Hope you enjoy this Grey's Anatomy's bit of parody :P

1 candle for the lil wolf

We've just celebrated Loup's first birthday yesterday.
No present from us (he has already everything!), a very small cake, but a very happy big boy :-)

Let the devil in you express him/herself (Halloween on its way)

Here's the very last Halloween poll, and I did it all by meself (proud smile)

I've noticed that the most popular costumes for kids around here were snow-white for girls and spiderman for kids! Really many of them. So what is it for adults, hm? Just let your innerself answer here ;-)

It's Halloween, what's your costume? (for women)
Spicy nurse (who's getting a sore throat again?)
Indian Maiden (anything to get the calumet)
Evil Bride (it sounds gothic and gothic rocks! ;-))
Angel of night (no way you jump into your coffin before the sun rises!)
Marquise de Sade (and they believe all the good ideas come from your man, tssss)
Midnight priestress (may the full moon bless you, now let's have fun)
Merry murderess (I always wash my hands before lunchtime!)
see the results

It's Halloween, what's your costume? (for men)
Bored Zombie (it's Hallo..what? Oh that...)
Caveman (you're tired of the tie)
Killer Clown, (not sure they'll enjoy your next joke!)
Hellvis (you're gonna burn the rotten stage ya sexy beast)
Naughty monk (you're ready to hear about any A-N-Y confession)
Jack the ripper (You've studied medicine for 12 years, time to show it)
Mewing werewolf (that's not fair, you love only peas and peanuts butter!)
see the results

These costumes were found here, and really I could buy hundred of dem!

Bubye headaches

I've almost recovered from my microbes' attack!
Fever in the night only and no more headaches (happy sigh)

Gawd bless antibiotics :)
A couple of days and I'll feel like on top of the world again.

Not like one year ago, when I was as big as a fat cow, walking like an old duck, and about to give birth really soon to the most devilish of the angels! **~~*^* *~~*^* *

If the Rocky Mountains were a hat...

...I'd be wearing it!
I feel about this way, with a supa heavy head!
sigh

But it went ok at the doc this morning. The kids got their injections and I thank Gawd this time I did not mention them to Lola before going there. It was much easier this way.

My babes are doing really fine. Lola's now 108cm and Loup is 80cm (for 12 kg).
Loup had his "decalotage" thingie done (as I mentioned before, some doc here help to take the skin which covers the extremity of the penis backwards, for health and comfort' reasons). Which I totally approve.
The doc did it in several times. This was the last time.
I expected it, yet I found it painful again for my baby!

But Loup has survived it. Just took 2 photos of him to prove it ;-)

For whom the bell tolls

well, I REALLY prefer Metallica's song to that gloomy bell I hear about everyday from the Church across the street, celebrating funerals. So many funerals! Is there an epidemy or something?

This bell is one of the sound I really hate the most.

Otherwise I'm in good mood, huh :P

Lunch at school: a culinary trip around the world!

(please, investigate, your participation is highly required :P)

Ok, I feel like the topic really interest me, lol!

Laurienna has just presented the lunch menu his son gets at school. Don't blame me but I got a lil bit hungry while reading it! hehe

I've started describing a menu during a week in a public (as in "not private", free one) French school, and it's here

Now, besides USA and France, I'm sure kids here and overthere have fascinating (or not) menus at school! I wanna know them!!! :P

Wish me luck..

... cause with my bloody 38.8° fever (it does not go down! Pffffffff), I must take the babes to the doc today for their 1 year old and 4 years old's visits.

And they're about to get 3 big injections!

Last time this happened, Lola got hysterical, we had to be 3 to hold her...

I'll be back later
(I hope! lol)

Confessions on a hard floor

I confess I spent a third day with pretty much (beyond 38.8°) fever taking care of the kids, but I really feel ok! Kids give you strength, I tell you!

I confess I still hate driving, And that is a real problem for me

I confess I'm very frustrated for not speaking German. That must change.

I confess I never get up when our babes cry in the middle of the night, Martin does it (!)

I confess I got in love with pumpkin bread but feel too lazy to cook some (any one feel like doing it?)

I confess I still prefer having subtitles when I watch English/American movies (sigh)

I confess I can't wait to go to Hamburg next week!

I confess I really luve beer, I develop a German innerself I think

I confess my dad does never know how old my kids are (...)

I confess I would tell 6 people precisely if I win lottery next time. Two among the 6 read this bloggie! :P

Now, what do YOU confess today?!!! :)

Easily influenced

yup dat's me!
That makes me mad... but when I hear a politician (not extreme ones, huh), I often think that fook, he/she is not so wrong here!
One day I feel I could vote white, the other day black (but at the end the colours will be greenish, i swear it!)

I really admire people who manage to have strong faith in their beliefs, standing like rocks, knowing exactly what they expect from life, what they do not.
I admire people who always know what's the best way, what's wrong or right. I always stand in the *foggy between*!

Sigh.

Can my kid have a sweet before dinner?
Hell, no!!!
hmm, ok, but just one!

Sometimes I feel I'm never straight and determined in my convictions!
grrrmmpphh

What kids eat in Paris (yumm!)

I find that always interesting to compare different habits depending on the country where you are. Specially when it comes to food ;-)

Here in France, kids go to school from about 8.30am to about 4.30pm (really long days! huh). They can stay at school for lunch if they want or they can go back at home to have lunch (which is a great break, at least for younger kids!)

the photo was found here

When I see the week's menu for lunch at school, I kinda feel ashame, I never cook so many different things for my kids in a week!
But I find that really great. And it's said now food at school even tastes ok.

To give you an idea, here's the menu they get for this week at school.

Monday
Sardines with tomato sauce (Sardine à la tomate)
Veal saute (Sauté de porc)
potatoes with onions and herbs (Pommes boulangères)
Cheese (Samos)
Fruit

Tuesday
Salad (Salade verte)
Bolognese spaguetti with parmesan cheese (Spaghetti bolognaise et Parmesan)
Grapes (Raisin)
Neapolitan ice (Tranche Napolitaine)

Wednesday
Gratted carrots (Carottes râpées)
Cordon bleu
Garden peas (Petits pois)
Small cream cheese (Petits suisses)
Fruit

Thursday
Corn and emmental cheese salad (Salade de maïs emmenthal)
Turkey saute (Sauté de dinde)
Green beans (Haricots verts)
Saint Paulin cheese (Saint Paulin)
Apple doughnuts (Beignet aux pommes)

Friday
Endives with mimosa eggs (Endives et oeufs mimosa)
Pollack fillet (Filet de lieu)
Ratatouille with rice (Ratatouille et riz)
Fromage blanc
Dry fruits (Fruits secs)

Not that bad, huh?!!!
And this week is also the "week of Taste" in French school.
In Lola's school, each classroom has a main colour and kids must bring food of this colour. then they will all taste the food. Lucky them! The colour of Lola's classroom is brown (she'll brink meat balls cooked with cinnamon)

Lucky kids!

My taylor is not rich

Just spent the end of the week helping a relative with a 7 (full) PAGES of translation of technical stuff (the worst to translate, cause it's BORING!) about boats' recycling.

Boats' recycling!
Recycling insurance
How to make cement with boats' fragments.
Pffffffffffffffffffffff!!!!

I really admire people working as translators, very hard work and often far less exciting than we'd like!

I'm dead, have to be on top though with a first Halloween party today, I fear I need my salts

Peggy's treats

(lol that title almost sounds like ermm hot stuff! )

I've finished my last halloween painting, just in time before the hallowwen parties start! Yeepeeeee!
If you knew how hard it is to find time to sit down for a minnie, even harder to sit down with a brush in the hands!
But it's done, that makes my day!

"Et maintenant, Blaise, flattez-moi"

Been a week I've wondered if the soundtrack from the French movie "La folie des grandeurs" was made by Enio Morricone, or not.
(lol yeah I know, some keep thinking about politics, money, philosophy, how to save the world and my mind just sticks to a song! pffff, a real shame!)

I thought not, but it sounds very like Morricone's stuff.
Check by yourself

But no, it was, and (grrmpphh!) I knew it, a soundtrack made by the talentuous Polnareff! Funny.

Oh did you know the so virtuous queen in it started a carreer in porn movies later? Hmmm, I guess the way she talked could have been a sign ;-)

Anyway, my problem is solved, I'll sleep peacefully tonight ;-)

Kawaii

If you still wonder what "kawaii" means, it means "cute" in Japanese. I've learnt it from my friend, Hiro, have a look at her "kawaii post" by the way, the pictures there speak for themselves! lol

So, Lola got a very kawaii present yesterday...
(please Michelle, thank your sister again from us! That was too nice!)

I think kawaii stuff is quite popular in France (come on, show us your Snoopy underwears! You also wear dem, don't lie to ol' Candy!!!)
And I believe this cup is only the first item of a very kawaii collection. Lola's crazy for girlie stuff, and (cough) I'm not too opposed to them myself!

olala pas Kawaii du tout, ça!

To explain what "kawaii" is really, I thought of showing what kawaii is not!
You follow me, yess?

And my birthday dinner for Lola was NOT kawaii.
I was to tell you I helped Lola to make that...:

but no, I did that all by meself.

Lola asked for eggs for her bday meal (lol, that should have been quite simple, huh)
I follow the recipe (yes, hahem... there was a recipe..!), but somehow, no, I ... failed!!!!

pas kawaii!!!!

Laurienna

Et voilà, I've just added another jewel in my treasure chest!
yeeppeeeeee!!!

I've discovered Laurienna's blog not long ago, and I'm simply addicted!
Do I recommend it to you?
Don't even ask! :P

Or rather... check it by yourself! it's just here!

Phewwww !

Your Inner Child Is Happy

You see life as simple, and simple is a very good thing.

You're cheerful and upbeat, taking everything as it comes.

And you decide not to worry, even when things look bad.

You figure there's just so many great things to look forward to.

Sounds ok!
Positive enough!
Optimistic!

Now I know my inner child can't wait to win lottery!
We're both gonna have so much fun!!!

4 candles

To celebrate Lola's birthday**~~*^* *

And I might add 4 candles for meself because back in 2002, on this very day, I got the most beaudiful Life's gift!

And 4 years later, Lola's our lil sun and despite some thunder-ish personnality sometimes (lol, she can express a thunder storm very well! I wonder from you she got that! Honest!), I can say she really really shines everyday!

Thank you my shrimpette for making our life so rich since the day you decided to join us!

Today I got

shocked when I had to face this big (spreading arms from there to there) rat in the street!

upset when nothing I did could calm down my lil wolf

relieved that the doc agreed that we visit him tonight

thankful for some drugstores to open late around here

amused when Lola stated that 2 nasty otitis had make their nest in Loup's ears

tired for waking upo again before 6.00 am

drooling with the yummy smells of the rabbit cooking (mental note to meself: get rid of that rat image! You're gonna eat a big fat rabbit. Yumm! Mental note to meself: don't think of the over cute Thumper, and don't even think about looking at this!!!)
(too late!)

relieved when my babes finally fell alseep (they'll awake a zillions times as usual, but I can sit down at least!)

relaxed like right now, with a lil glass of wine not far and Pink Floyd echoing

(happy sigh**~~*^* *)

You nasty little things!

When you know there's a big dawg poo revival on the Paris' pavements (yup, for a time it had almost disappeared)... and when you know Autumn in Paris means orange, dark brown leaves about everywhere, on the same pavements...

...well, I'm not far from accusing Autumn of high treason!

pffff

Upset and sad

I still love her because I've always known her as the most generous and welcoming and warmest person.
Of course I love her because she is the sweetest one to me.
But behind all this, I feel the bitterness, the fear of being alone also (maybe?), the nostalgy of a perfect world where kids say their prayers in the evening... I feel all that is making of her someone ready to bite today. A tatie danielle you know.

That breaks my heart, but she's turning that way.
I wish I was wrong.
She's supposed to be a reference, a rock, a lighthouse to me. I still see her that way, but...

Is it really that awful to get old?
Why the most wunnnnerful smile suddenly hide sharp teeth?

Age does not make everything.
But I fear years might steal more than physical energy.

sigh.

When the lil wolf's away, the mama will play ;-)

But not only, huh! ;-)

When Loup decides to have a lil nap (that happening once or twice a day) that means I have to rush to work, to take care of the house too, to update my bloggie sometimes (ok, "often"! hehe).
That's how my day is devided: 90% taking care of my babes, 10% rushing to do everything else.

Blessed lil nap

Bloody pill

Do you know how it costs me for one box of pills (=3 months of pills)? 34 euros!

I think they should be free... Pills and condoms!
I want my taxes to pay for pills and condoms. Till one candidate includes that in his/her program, I'll still vote for Nicolas, and guess what... he might still participate to 2007 French elections!!!

Yeeeepeeeeeeeeeee!!!!

In case you wonder how to dress for Halloween...

...this other top 10 of most ridiculous black metal pics might help you! :P

My very very favorite ones are #1, #2, #8 and #9!
lol

You MUST read the comments of the pics there! They're the cherry on the cake!

It's Monday, gimme a hug

(âmes sensibles, ne pas s'abstenir ;-)

While I was having my first coffee today, I jumped into France's blog, a blog that I love.
What makes France's blog unique is the way she writes. She writes with her heart, me thinks. And that's why she touches us so well.

And I could not imagine a beder way to start my week. France talks here about the Free Hugs campaign. Heard of it maybe?
Wouldn't life be more beauDiful if people shared a lil bit more hugs here and there?

And sarcastic ones might comment a lot about that, but take it simply: good vibes and love will never make a war.

Here's the video France shows. The images tell everything. Have a wunnerful Monday!

Mary Poppins wears trousers and has a loud voice

... I know it, because I've met THE purrrfect one this morning.

We (parents) had a meeting with the teachers, at Lola's school today.
The opportunity for the teachers to talk of what they plan to do, and how, during the year.

Lola has a *he* as a teacher, a "Mr Poppins". No, much better because he does not sing the way she did (phewwwwwwww!), and ok, he looks much beDer too, not wearing any umbrella night and day!

I was very excited to go there, because I remember so well how it was to be a pupil at school, that being now a "parent" is really funny and enjoyable!

After almost 2 hours of Mr Poppins talking, I got convinced Lola had the best teacher I could imagine!
His approach sounds perfect.
He's the kind to invent stories to explain why there's a lil ball on top of the i letter. The kind who explains letters must be treated like friends, you can make gifts to them, they will love it. And the letters will make gifts to you too.
etc etc

Oh, I want to go back to school and learn everything again! (with a Mr Poppins, naturally!)

I was wondering about another tattoo

... and it won't be a buDerfly! Sorry, you crystal ball!

You Should Get A Butterfly Tattoo

Girly and funky

For you, tattoos are a thing of beauty - not toughness

But they're right on one point (not the swimsuit, lol): as I have no prison to break, I get tatoos only because I find them beauDiful! :)

(Mel', your results are much more groovy! Pfffffff, dat's unfair! ;-)

32 years old, yet...

I still feel uncomfortable when I show some of my paintings of nekkid women to my parents!
I usually show them very very VERY quickly.
Dat's stoopid, of course, but I guess it's simply linked to the fact that sex and parents are usually 2 concepts that can't get on well, from the kids' point of view..

Not far from the:
"the whole family watching a movie.
The blond one kisses the beach boy"
scene

2 reactions:
The parents: pretending not caring or the opposite: "haha -nervous laugh-, what a nice kiss!"
The kids: -rolling eyes- "yuck, dat's disgusting"

Both side feeling uncomfortable.
Dat's funny, but I fear I still have the "uncomfortable" reaction from a teen!
Do you think it's linked to the education I've got? I think it's simply a normal reaction.

I don't find I'm prude or anything like that... except with my parents.. damn!

The song in your head

I think we all have different approaches when it comes to discover new pieces of music.

I've discovered lil jewls while working on my puter, just letting my "yahoo music radio" (which is way beDer than 95% of the webradios) run. Wunnerful selection that really stick to your tastes.

Otherwise, I never listen to the radio, it's just not one of my habits.
I never buy music magazines (or at least I stopped when I was still young and innocent), and the only criticism in which I have blind confidence... is the *music page* from Voici, a French people's magazine. lol, I'm not even kidding , they really influence my musical exploration!

I enjoy checking what's new in specialized shops, but usually never trust the top 20 or anything like that. People like crap... as many are right to think I enjoy crap too by the way! :P

And advertisment does not work at all here. If I see 400 posters of Johnny Hallyday's new album in the metro, be sure I'll still never ever buy anything from him!

I also read a lot people's comments online about new albums. But it's not easy to get an idea, fans can tell amything about their beloved bands.

And I don't listen much to my friends' advice (2 exceptions, here, Penny and Esox), in the same way, I don't recommand really anything, music tastes are so personnal.

Anyway, to sum up, my exploration in the musical field is linked to a mainstream radio and a people's mag!
But I swear my tastes are not THAT bad!
hehe

What about you? Do you enjoying discovering new stuff? Or do you prefer sticking at your favorite albums?
How do you "explore" music ?

Just *breathe* deeply and tell me :)

Loving big surprises...

...such as discovering my art blog is part of Geoloc's most active sites! And yesterday my personnal blog, this one, was part of the "geotop"! lol
I have no idea how many visit my blog, but that was a pretty big surprise!

Loving lil surprises...

...such as discovering that popular Orlando Bloom played with ol' and sexy (cough, I have to think hard about this one) Inspector Barnaby! lol

I'm easily pleased, ya see :)

No way I will bite you,

... and dat's my karma that tells it!

You Have Fantastic Karma

You are a kind, sensitive, and giving person.

And all your good deeds will pay off - if they haven't already.

But you're not so concerned with what you get in return anyway.

You have an innate caring nature - and nothing can change that!

quizz found here

Here's the scary thing:
I'm not a sociopath, I have a high karma, I start to be good at cooking cookies, I read Marie-Claire every month and some top-secret mag every week, I buy bio products for my babes, etc.
Enough reasons to get upset!!!!
So in case I ever attend a tupperware meeting or tupperware conference call (that exists, no kidding!!!), then please remind me I married a troll wearing his "Full of Hate tour" t-shirt! lol

What does YOUR karma tell today?
Into tupperwares too I bet!!!

Room for imagination

(only read this post if you've time to waste, and I don't under-estimate my own post, only telling the truth)
(too late you've read too much!)
:P

I don't know how really but I've discovered an album, "the room" by "harold budd". I haven't heard any song from it yet, I've no idea who this Harold is, but the titles inspire me enough to explore. Yeaaaah, these titles rock:

1. The Room Of Ancillary Dreams
2. The Room Of Oracles
3. The Room Of Stairs
4. The Room Of Corners
5. The Room Alight
6. The Candied Room
7. The Room Of Mirrors
8. The Room Obscured
9. The Room Of Forgotten Children
10. The Room Of Accidental Geometry
11. The Room Of Secondary Light
12. The Flowered Room
13. The Room

I wanna be a poet like that with my paintings!

Lola Diva

The shrimpette is about to turn 4, (in a couple of weeks)...
I love her so much! She makes me laugh and scream, she makes me *happy sigh* most of the time.

Here, she made me laugh. She did not play the lil diva, nenene, she was that lil diva! hehe

The Sociopath in me ...

...is hibernating apparently!

You Are 20% Sociopath

You're empathetic, loyal, and introspective.

In other words, there's no way you're a sociopath... but you can spot one pretty easily!

Phewwwwwwwwwwww! I'd find it hard to live with a sociopath self! In that case I'd have turned schizophrenic I think!

So, till I show you the hungry and develish alien purring in my stomach, I think you're pretty safe wiff me!
Wanna a cupotea?
hehe

Pshhhiiiit: in case Jack, and anybody else, wanna do more quizzes, my quizzes guru's here

My monday aura's ...

...in perfect harmony with the season ;-)

Your Aura is Orange

You're a bit of a loner, but you're never lonely. You know how to entertain yourself.

Whether you're trying an extreme sport or a new weird food, you always live on the edge.

The purpose of your life: testing limits - both physical and mental... and then telling people about it.

Famous oranges include: Timothy Leary, David Blaine, Tony Hawk, Carey Hart

Careers for you to try: Snowboarder, Circus Performer, Undercover Agent

"extreme sport"? "living on the edge"? "Testing limits"? LOL, that's about everybody but me!

So I'm in some kind of orange mood today...lemme see... Generous pumpkins, dying leaves and the falling sun, yusss, that suits me, it's inspiring!

And what's color is your aura? today, hm?

Our weekend was on a speeeed mode, we had time to work on the hobbit house, time to enjoy a very summer-ish Saturday and time to realise we've golden hands!
(lol! Can you imagine that.. since Martin and I have started the works, the value of the house is now minimum 3 times higher! I had not realized that at all! Wawwwww!)

PS: JL, you've been lucky for we decided to not bother you on Friday! hehe ... Oh and while you're here, we've watched Battlestar Galactica! C'est pas mal prometteur dis-donc! Maintenant qu'on y a goûté, va falloir qu'on se fasse la saison!

PPS: for other quizzes and posts full of vitamines, it's here
