Action mama ?

Well, at least I'm good at giving cuddles! :P

I've just done so much lately that I start to feel I need to sleep more than 6 hours sometimes.

I'm doing great, Life is spoiling me! I'm getting ambitious, I feel passion for life -and ice creams- burning in me, and that is so precious! I want to make a few *life dreams* come true... dunno how but I'll find a way :-)

Now, I gotta say my body cannot follow my rhythm.. lol... despite the hard training!

Gijs came for dinner yesterday! I cooked, had great talks about ermmm firearms, strikes and the beauDy of friendship... but when Loup called me for a cuddle... I fell asleep with him! lol. Woke up in the early morning to realize I had missed the end of the party! lol OMG, I felt bad!
hehe

anyway, there's no way I can stop my rhythm, but I include now a nap sometimes when I need it! :)

Action Lola

still 25°C and sunny over Paris!

I take the kids out as much as possible, with all the stress from the first days at school, they just *need* to relax and let it go :)

Lola's doing well, she's actually really adorable, helpful, creative & sweet. She makes me really proud!

Action Martin

Martin wanted to try some martial art... I wondered... he's 2 meter tall and I see Bruce Lee like being half of that! lol

But anyway, Martin's found something............

Krav maga!

It's said to be one of the best self-defense technic.
When I discovered his new hobby, I couldn't believe my eyes! That is VIOLENT! lol
He'll need protection about everywhere, boxing gloves, etc.
I found that funny that Martin, so peaceful, started with krav maga.

I think we all have some boiling part in us, and Martin has found a (clever) way to express it. It's *defense* only and certainly lots of fun learning it.

So yeah, why not huhu!

Martin's having much fun with it, and he even trains a bit with me, or at least show me a few things he learns ... (don't point a gun on me, I will know what to do! LOL!)

Ok, to give you an idea, here's a vid'

(I've really chosen the softest video I could find, to not scare you!)

Sweat

Sport is almost my hobby #1 now.
The adrenaline, the endorphins, the pleasure to push limits, the people with who I work... fantastic.

I still work pretty much on machines, with weights etc... but the real fun parts are the training sessions with my now well-known Terminators.
The hardest one, the one who'll have no mercy and who'll still manage to make me laugh while making me suffering like hell is... a woman. Blond!
She has an energy and a physical resistance I cannot understand. But I plan to discover her lil secrets ;-)

And then there are these 2 other guys. One black one, supa nice, just asking that we keep smiling when we die working with him. And the third, Cedric, same energy and physical resistance as my Blond one.

With them I do body pump & body attack. Body attack 3 times a week. It's a LOT. lol
On Thursday evening, I went with just a few others to my Blond's course. Among the pupils, there was Cedric, who wanted to try it (the Blond is SO good at it!).
We were what, 6, 7, training, my 2 *masters* included.

That was supa good. Supa exciting, supa motivating.

Ok, you've no idea what I'm talking about (body attack -no, it's not a sect-), so I gotta add a video.

It's just advertisement, you gotta add much better music, harder movements, great atmoshpere (10 people maximum) and a lot of fun!

My fav is still the body pump courses... but it's hard to find the time for everything!

and I would luuuve to do more body combat which is so much fun!

The hardest one though, among my 3 favourite ones, is body attack. Really hard!

...yummmmmy.... :)

New neighbour in the city!

well, more than a neighbour, it's a friend who's arrived a week ago to start with a Parisian life. He's just switched from Finland to Paris.
You wouldn't believe it, but he lives in such a fine district and his workplace is at 10 minutes from his home. Just THE dream for all of us :)

Gijs came earlier and confirmed how much men are good at cooking! He brought the most delicious kind of cheesecake, with yummmmy strawberries! I think I've died from pleasure for a few minutes :)

Dying sometimes does feel fantastic! :)

Every invicible warrior has a lil hidden weakness

... and the one of Loup at the moment is his *stress about school*.

I talk of stress, not sadness or fear, but real stress.
He seems to be lost in space and time.

He has started asking me about a hundred times everyday (from when he wakes up to the moment he goes to bed) if "tomorrow he will go to school".

It's crazy. He fears the nights... Just before going to bed, he asks me again "when I sleep then I go to school? then I must eat at school?", he fears the days: "mom, do I go back to school after I eat?"
He's pretty stressed: "Mom, you will tell my teacher I won't eat at school, you will tell her, yes mom?"
and 2 minutes later he aks the same questions :(

My poor babe!
But when I go to take him at school at the end of the day, he is happy, excited to tell me how it went etc.
It's just that, one hour later, his stress is back.

It will be fine at the end, but I hate, really hate that my baby gets so much stress... because at the end I cannot just make his stress disappear! He's the only one who can do it... and that's tough for a lil one...

Fancy an apple pie?

New painting's done, another one linked to hmmmm... women, religion, god, Freedom.
I like it (lol yeah I do!)

And I start to think of such a dead angel (skull+angels wings) for a next tat'! That would mean a lot to me.. and I love the visual... (taking mental notes ;-)

Next work (looking at a huge wooden board standing against the wall)... will be made of collage & painting. I have the topic in mind since weeks, I know about all what I want to put in it, just don't know how to organise everything! It's the most difficult part!

The funny thing is... I've been exploring many different fields with my work and it seems I focus more and more on topics that are the mirror of my inner self. I take less distance with my subjects. If I could paint with my own blood, that wouldn't be so different from what you get.
Very strange feeling, pleasant, painful sometimes. That's part of the game.

Now I need to sell, I always forget that detail! lol

Summer in the city

I've never had so many picnics than in the past weeks.
And today was such a gorgeous day again... if you see 4 ones like dressed for the beach every time there's sun over Paris, then, it's us!

Well, that won't last, so we really make the best of it!

It's been a good week, despite Lola's high fever on Friday night. I just thought it couldn't be possible, after 2 days at school, that was way to early to catch anything!

But the fever is gone.

And Gijs has arrived!
Our gooood friend Gijs has just left Finland to come to work in Paris! Martin & the devils went to take him at the airport earlier today. It's gonna be so kewl to have him around here (happy sigh).

I've had news from my publishing house on Friday, they will publish the 2 other books (which are done already since months) beginning of next year. That's a nice piece of news.

Even nicer, Loup can almost run now! In a weird way, right, but he can make it. It feels so good to see him improving every day!

That's all, folks :)

hope you have a good one!

New year, pink powa, etc

New year (for parents and kids) should start with the school year. Let's forget the old dusty rotten calendar which makes depressive 1st of January the first day of the year!

hehe...

Ha well

been a tough first day, for me!
I stressed for Loup, his leg, his full days at school (he's still only 3 years old after all... at school from 8.30 to 4.30 is so long!).
For Lola, it's a different stress... I always worry I do not take care enough of her, because Loup is so demanding since weeks, ermm, since ever! :P

It's been really fine for Lola! In her class, they are 24 pupils.... 17 girls and 7 boys, including her lil "amoureux"! lol
Poor boys!
She came back home with homework (on the first day, I'll never get used to that!) and lots of talks about her girlfriends and teacher, etc.
:)

For Loup, god he broke my heart a bit. I asked him if he wanted to stay at school for lunch and he said no, not this time (I'll let him at school on lunchtime 2 days/week). When I came to take him, he had tears in the eyes, I could feel it had been such a heavy first morning. Sitting on a bench, listening to the teacher, not being allowed to play really. Not like his first year.
My poor baby.
It was very VERY hard to take him back to school after lunch...

He'll get used to it, and so will I.

I really need a few days to get used to a quiet space around me. It's strange. I'm happy, I've already worked a lot today. At the same time, I would love to make my babes' first years without this kind of stress, you know?

ha well. That's life and they will soon love it :)

I keep on bubbling, on and on

3 days before school starts again (woooohoooooooooooo!!!)

Well, I'm not sure yet it will be ok for Loup and his leg. after nearly 2 weeks without his cast, he put his foot on the floor and walks as much as he can. He's so courageous :)

The weather here in Paris is fantastic, we expect 30°C tomorrow again. Picnics, swimming pool (whenever we can) & ice creams, life can be sweet around here :)

I've finished another collage, but while I was doing it I had the next one already done in my mind, very disturbing! lol

And I'm now working on a painting. I've never been so inspired, it's crazy! If I had enough time and space I would work night and day!

By the way, Martin and I have been working since weeks on a new gallery. Something more practical than just an art blog. Well lol ok, more like a shop. I need to sell! :)
The website is pretty complicate to organise but at the end the result should be what I want.

Apart from kids and work, sport keeps making me busy, as usual. I've been doing a lot of it again lately. It just feels so good (when you really start you get addicted!). I'm getting used to do it in the evenings, it just requires a lot of motivation to go sweating when it's time for a drink ;-)

Well, I still have my taxes to pay and dozens of bills to deal with, but apart from that, life is ok right now :)

Summer in Paris

... loving it!

Except for my work! (the glue does not dry anymore! lol! I don't understand why.. and watercolour dries too quickly! pfff! )

Paris is empty, or was (I don't know maybe everyone is back now!)

Paris is hot (between 25 and 35°C since 10 days now)

Paris is intimate (you don't meet much people you know, they're all away, so when you do, you take your time :)

Paris has gotten rid of his stressed car drivers!

Oh I love it!

And the kids love it too! Despite Loup's condition, we have a picnic everyday and have fun as much as we can outside.

Talking of Loup, he's still very hesitating with his leg. Very cautious. So far, I gotta admit he does not walk. He goes back to school in 10 days so, well, I don't know. We'll see.

Yet, today, when he went to have fun in the Parc André Citroen, he was really motivated! He made a few steps, could stand up too. He was proud! Well, I think he might walk again quite soon, walk properly in a couple of months maybe.

But that's ok, he's going to make it :)
Oh, and with such a helpful sister as Lola, no doubts miracles will happen :)

(proud-ish smile here)

A real pirate!

You know... I would have never believed lil ones could have such a big imagination.
Loup is getting like an expert in the imagination world.

For him, as soon as he starts involving himself in a game, or whatever, then it happens.
I've always wondered how it worked with the cards, you know, Pokemon type... How kids could just use their cards to imagine they would transform in something etc.
Then I saw Loup, just grabbing a card, putting his hand on it, making a big noise then being the creature on the card! LOL
very impressive!

Loup is so much into it. And I am the last one who will break his imagination, I feed it, enjoy it so much that I'm caught by it. I become the real tinker bell that my lil pirate wanna kill! lol

Even gold has to be real, you see... well almost:

(Loup talking)

Mom I want real gold coins!

oh??

yes mom, and not those like the one Lola made, in paper, I want real ones... in PLASTIC!!!

A treat for the eyes

Pete is from the land where you eat rice pudding and such things like Marmite ... , but he has qualities too!

;-)

Pete is an artist, a real one, exposing his soul through his work, yes, that's what I feel. But talking about his work would be spoiling it already.

I could marry twice a year, every year (lol), just to get Pete's photos. And great champ' too! :P
That was my first thought when I watched them. But *that* is a tiny part of his whole work...

Just check by yourself right here !

Another day, another drug

When I'm not trying to save the world (which I don't do on a regular basis lol), I just let it go and openly enjoy my little drugs

At the moment I'm crazy for those !

They're not as hard as the original ones, the taste is perfect and they make pretty nice bubbles.

I love making bubbles (specially when I'm driving, very classy huh), and try to motivate everyone around to beat me at it! But nobody want (or dare I would say! huhu). The kids only want to put their fingers in my bubbles, and Martin says it's a suicide for someone with a moustache. Pfffff (shrugging!), one gotta take risks in one's life!

So, here's a modest bubble, who wanna try to beat it? (waiting, taping foot :P)

And bellow is my master (master!), one day, I'll beat him!

Nowhere to be found

just looking for a high quality video of Planet Caravan, by Black Sabbath or Panthera... just can't get one!

Nonono you just can't find everything on the internet :P

¤%&%#@#$$¤¤ !!!

I was with the kids in the street.
There was this guy there, looking lost. Asked him if I could help.

Tells me he's homeless, nobody helps him, makes a few racist remarks to explain his unfair situation (=black people get more help than he does), and that he's lost in Paris and tries to find some addresses he has on a paper.

Ok, let's see, I check, explains him.
Then he asks me how he can do to go to La Bastille. I explain and tell him I can give him a metro ticket.

He said he has one already.
So I tell him I can't do more then. He begs me to help him to get some lunch. And I, bonne poire faut croire, start to check if I have some coin in the pocket. 2 euros only. Damn (that's much for me, isn't it for you?)
I give him.

Know what he answered??

Is it what you call generosity?

then went on

... 10 euros sounds more like the minimum for generosity!

Oh God, generosity, my ass!

Answered him I couldn't believe it, that I had just lost precious time with him and that if 2 euros was not "generous" enough, I wanted them back now!

The guy left! he just left. Just like that.

Honestly, that kills me! Yeah I know he's in the street, life's bad for him, etc.
Some believe when people have enough money to live then they have to share it. That people with "money" are lucky, in the way, luck brings that money.

Hey, I am not mother Theresa, I am not born generous, I help if I want and I work for what I have. So please, all who beg for my coins, as much the government as this homeless one, respect that.

Fuck.

PS: wait the government doesn't beg for my coins, the government doesn't ask. It takes!

Inspiration

I've never been so busy with the devils than in the past weeks.
I've never felt so tired, but never felt so inspired for my work.

I feel like a writer, I get ideas when sleeping, and wakes up to take notes. LOL
Unusual. Exciting!

It's like... the more you push your own limits, the more you get, really. Fascinating process. But exhausting too!

Normal life is really exceptionnal

...something you discover when suddenly life's harder for such or such reason.
Well, I know my luck, we've just experienced a "broken leg", which is nothing in comparison to many other situations.

But that was enough to *feel* how normal life is precious.

We've spent hours in hospital this morning (Gawd, they need more workers in Necker hospital, too much to do there for them!).
Finally, after a few x-rays, a few checkings, Loup got his cast removed!

Yeepeeeeeeeeee!!! I was so stressed. On the x-rays, you can still see clearly the broken tibia but no "empty space" between the bones.
The doc said that now he can start walking again, that everything's fine. He can't do any sport for at least six other weeks and must be careful. We'll go back to hospital end of September. A last visit :)

No more wheelchair, god, that was so heavy with the floors, with stairs everywhere, so complicate to organise..
No more strategic plans for peeing or washing or playing cowboys ...
No more stress about Loup moving his broken leg, night and day. I get my bed and sleep back for myself! (supa happy sigh)

Well, I've still spent the most tiring day in weeks today, because Loup can't/refuse to walk so I'm his wheelchair! lol... But that's just a matter of days :)

Yesterday:

Today...

And trust me, there's a huge difference between these two days ;-)

Wondering how

...my lil devil went from his wheelchair to this carton...

//oO\\

Lola and Loup had no explanation to give me... they just shrugged... lol
I had to take some big voice & rolling eyes so they don't do that again, but... they really made me laugh! :)

The consciously forgotten topic

lol I gotta understand my title before knowing how to explain it!

There's one topic I don't (want to) talk about on here, politics. A topic, subject, that keeps me pretty busy lately... I say lately, but it's been months.

Only way to express it for the moment, through my work. More work to come then :)

Explicit

so is my last work, *explicit*

Hopes the family won't be shocked lol, I could have painted a (naked) troll or a boobed mermaid, had to be a naked man here.

New work in mind already, gotta find time for it!

Back to quickies

when coming back from hols, I wondered if I'd stop my bloggie for a while.
Oh I still enjoy it a lot,
but most of what I share, including new works, etc, I do it on FB, and it takes one minute not more.

Days are so short & so full, blogs require so much time & attention really!

Well I won't give it up, just make it shorter, quickies only.
From a reader's perspective, that's not too bad either I believe :)

edit: I just say I almost stop with my blog and I add 4 more posts! lol, typical!

Summerish summary

The Facebookers already know what a shitty weather we've got during these four weeks in Bretonie. But I gotta say that for Loup, unable to move, it was not that bad... no temptation for the beach!

Apart from Loup's cast, a few fest-noz, the rain and the wind, I'll remember how much we've worked on the hobbit house! Unfortunately, the photos I took were "broken" when I tried to get them back. So you won't see the result!
We've worked a lot on the terrasse, in the kitchen and bathroom, on the living room & bedroom ceilings.

And another good memory will be our meeting with Axel. I've instantly been under the charm of his show & personnality, which is impressive on many levels. A few days later I contacted him via his site to tell how much we had enjoyed his show.
The result of all that is that I can say we've started a real friendship, he came to spend half a day at home there with his lil boy, and we really had a great time.

Next year if you're not far from Dinan, there will be the big medieval party in July. The theme of it: the Middle Ages' Fears.
Martin wants that we go there as lepers (lépreux).. lol... nene not glam enough for me!

I might change my mind though :P

But Anyway, I don't tell anything but Axel's performance there should be really something! I truly can't wait :)

Adieu Bretonie, Bonjour Paris

Finally I've spent 4 weeks away from Paris... how about that? pretty kewl, huh!

Well that was great for me... and for the kids, specially for Loup who, despite his wheelchair, could enjoy a huge garden & big house.

We've had some stress though with the lil devil having a bad fever, several trips to the hospital (for fear of an infection linked to his leg), new cast done, blood tests, etc...

Well it was strange holidays for me. Honestly on the last week of June when Loup broke his leg, I had so much stress (and physical pain for him) that I just did not know where I was anymore. I focused all my energy on him and was unable to think about anything else.

Then once his pain was gone (after 10 days), I started to feel better -and exhausted-.

Now I'm kinda used to the wheelchair and cast but it still makes life very complicate.

Next week, we go back to the hospital, then he should get his cast removed.
I can't wait for good news about his leg... Normal life to be back :)

Almost had a heart attack ...

... earlier today when I totally lost my summer pictures (well only had 15 of them left, from beginning of July!)

I thought I had transferred them all on my PC, but did not notice I had not enough space left.
When I finished the transfer, I just deleted them all from my ebook and memory card.

Then I started to check the photos and ...

I panicked, could remember my holidays... the images were gone, so was my memory!
lol

When Gijs told me he might help, I thought you can't get anything back once it's really completely deleted for ever and ever
(shrugging)

I was wrong!
Gijs helped me find a free software to get back the old pics on my empty memory card! yeah yeah!
it WORKS
...but I had pictures lost from the beginning of July till now, and it could only get the last days' photos.

I tried then to get a software to find deleted files on my (e)PC. Well, you know, once you empty the bin, it's empty. lost.
... wrong!
I could find all my deleted files thanks to that.
Incredible.
A miracle!

I have all my lost pics back, I still can't believe it!
Phewwwww!

Elle assure en bourrée!

yeah, I know, my best post title so far!

ha well, I gotta say I am pretty good at Bretonish dances, but I've got lot of fun with the Auvergnate bourrées lately!

It does not sound exciting, but when you dance it, trust me, it's something!

Ok, apart from that, Martin has made lots of lil renovations on my blogs and I really wanna thank him! I'm supa happy for all the works and improvements!

Une petite bourrĂ©e pour fĂªter ça, hm? :D

Yesterday...

... there were 10 people in the hobbit garden for a picnic! The first official guests we've had :P

Yesterday, I had a bloody experience: I cut a big slow worm (orvet) while cutting the grass, it was yucky! I ran for Martin like a kid to ask for help, lol... poor lil stupid one (I thought he would have left with all the noise I was making!)

Yesterday I realized I had a taste for running, it was hard (no flats road and paths around here) but the exercise felt great!

Yesterday I finished my project. Took a lot of time to gather the pieces I wanted for the collage, but it looks definitely the way I wanted! Might do that again! :)

Yesterday I said goodbye

...to Martin. He's back in Paris for the week, starting with work again :(

And I stay an extra week here in Bretonie with the kids. So much better with the wheelchair.

Next visit to the hospital is in 2 weeks, if everything is fine: x-rays, then they remove the cast and we're gone. 2 weeks to be able to walk a bit to be ready for school.

That's the perfect script.

But I do stress a lot, wondering how his leg is fixing... what bad news the docs might tell me..

I will know, in 2 weeks.

Because...

...I want to paint, read, train, cuddle, renovate, play, heal, drink and dance, I find days way too short! (holidays, huh, can be hard :P)

We've had a first really sunny day in 3 weeks today. Got ugly suntan while working outside! But working outside in the sun, surrounded with the trees, birds and river feel pretty good.

Tomorrow.. Martin will work (we take turns... talk about holidays together...) and I plan to get the naps of my dream!:P
I'll enjoy my day off, oh yeah!

Martin will go back to work to Paris next Sunday (boooo) and I'll stay here another week with the kids. With Loup's broken leg, Bretonie is Heaven, Paris is Hell! That's great we can have another week around here.

Painting & painting

This year in the hobbit house, my main jobs are painting and masonry.

I've come to the conclusion that if I was back at school, all fresh and capable, I would have chosen one of these following jobs as a dream job: 1) sport trainer(making people sweat, beg for me to stop, lol, and helping them to push their own limits, I would have loved that), 2) mason ( building stuff is exciting, the physical work really suits me!). Why do they only ask you if you want to be a doctor, teacher or lawyer when you're at school, hm? If I had known...

Anyway, I have finished painting the ceilings, had to do it 2 times to get a fine colour (yawn). Supa boring, but done! :)

At the same time, when I get a minute, I work on this new project below.. hope it will be as I have it in mind!

Oh and while we're in the topic, Loup made a painting the other day.. when we asked what it was, he said: I have painted *a secret*! :-)

Chocolate mama

I keep talking about Loup, but I haven't forgotten my shrimpette... it's just that, she's so busy and loup so much stuck to me ;-)

Loup has a lot of imagination, much more than I, or Lola. He creates his own worlds, imaginary friends, etc I love it.

Even his subconscious is pretty creative.

He woke up this morning, told me he just had a nightmare: he dreamt I was made of chocolate and that I totally melted because of the sun!

OMG, not fun!
I found this one pretty scary! :P

Update

I'm sorry I did not give news about Loup earlier. It's just that, yeah well, I shared everything on facebook, right, but could not find the time to sit down to write a post here!

Loup is getting better!
Phewww!

After a really, hm, stressful week with several visits ar the hospital and lots of blood tests, scans, etc.. Loup finally recovered. It was about time. The conclusion from the doctors: we see that he has nothing, but that does not mean anything, we could make new tests.

Nenene, we've had enough, no more tests!

Loup has got a new cast (the doctors wanted to check everything was fine under it) which is good because his leg has got much thinner, so a new one seems much better:)

Next visit to the hopsital, in 3 weeks to get rid (I hope!) of the cast. That will give me 2 weeks, before school starts again, to help Loup to try to walk again.

Crazy holidays.

Diagnosis: sky? heavy, heart? pretty light

Fucking Bretonie ( I love it but), when it rains, it never stop! 5 days now, just too much!

I said I have a pretty light heart today because we're back from hospital and Loup's broken tibia starts to fix itself a bit. The situation is not worse and that's kewl.

We've been to the hospital emergency early in the morning... Loup's got fever since 10 days now (not in a regular way), we've been to the doc several times and he finally sent us to the hospital because he worried there could be a blood infection due to the broken tibia.

Oh yeah

Loup has got a new cast, blood tests, lungs & legs scan etc.. the full menu!

He's back now, has watched Athur & the minimoys, Totoro & might go on with la guerre des boutons -again!-

The hospital just called, asking me to stop antibiotics, to take Loup temperature every 3 hours and to take him back there tomorrow morning.
Well, I can say the hospital of Saint-Malo works pretty well and won't let you go without knowing you're really ok. Good point!

(sigh)

I'm tired, I don't sleep well since 3 weeks, sleeping near Loup, with him moving a lot, having nightmares and high fever in the night.
I surrender: I can jump on the table and scream I'm exhausted. Yeah yeah, that happens to me too! ;-)

But I know it's gonna get better.

I expected the wheel to turn from supa karma to shitty one. I'm in the shitty one, soon it will change again! That's a very kewl perspective!

A last trip to the hospital tomorrow and I swear I'll make the best of my holidays!

Wednesday, July 22, 2009

Phewwww

after some sleepless nights ;-), the blog's working again! Pheww!
I've changed of web hoster and that was less simple than expected.

Loup has got fever back since a couple of days, so I guess is angina is not gone (sigh)
The weather has been very bretonish (shitty in a wet way) but hey, the sun's back today, I mean right now :P

I've just worked for a local order yesterday night (plain watercolour painting of boats) and I managed to finish it, that's kewl.

I have a *political* project (well in it some kind of political view will be expressed) in mind right now, won't use painting though, more collage. It's exciting, I'm gathering ideas right now, hope I can make something of the boiling ideas I get :)

But before taking care of that, I finish my cup of tea and rush to the hobbit house for masonry work, always hard to start with masonry but satisfying at the end!

Under my skin

It's been a pretty good day... got sun, thunder, Pink Floyd's pigs on the wing, a BBQ and a few push-ups :)

Got our new goodies too!!! ... skins for our eeePC! We just couldn't resist such a lovely toy!

Here's mine:

and Martin's

That rocks, huh! :D

Tomorrow, I'll start working in the hobbit house, I'll take that as a break from being a nurse ;-)
Will share pics about the hard works!... and oh, about holiday pics... they're on Facebook, I'm too lazy to put them here too!

night night my friends :P

Little house on the (bretonish) prairie

Sure you recognize Charles, Caroline and Laura! :D

Temptation

Well, here in Bretonie... the biggest temptation is getting lazy... forgetting I have a house to renovate, sport to do, work to prepare & new wine to taste ;-)

The family house is so comfortable, the garden so big, the landscape so delightful.
Well I'm not resisting much temptation I reckon.

except this one..

after the party the other day, I found this cig in the bathroom. 8 years I have stopped, still fighting with success. I've asked that nobody touch the cig for a few days, just to test meself. lol. Very tempting.

What resisting bring me? Not any kind of happiness, just useful strength that I use in some approriate way I guess. Besides, resisting something that makes me that dependent is pretty satisfying :)

About lil wolf

He's doing well, I mean he does not suffer anymore at all, I think.
He's very patient, reasonable, that's crazy... he's so active and pushing the limits usually!

I spend most of my nights and days not far from him, he's very demanding of course... I wanna make his life as easy as possible, naturally.

This morning though... we went for new x-rays... and well, they did not show any improvement :(
The bones of the tibia are even a bit more separated. The doc here just asked if we were to see a surgeon just after the rendez-vous. I shrugged, said no, next appointment is back to Paris end of August.
He said it was still ok, the bones are still aligned and that's the most important. We'll make other x-rays with him in 2 weeks.

He repeated that Loup must not move at all his leg. Gawd I don't know what to do, I'm very careful about that and so is Loup. We can't do more.

I worry. I don't want to hear people telling "and what if you saw other doctors?", "why won't you ask for a new cast?", "have they made the right diagnostic?", "wouldn't an operation be more appropriate?"
No, that does not help me, just the opposite.

So far I've been in 2 places, with different doctors, telling me the bones of kids heal very well and that any operation is avoided as much as possible.

But what can I tell, what do I know really?

I worry, wondering how bad it's gonna be after 7 weeks of cast, patience, pain and stress.

Anyway, can't do much more right now. What a bloody bad kind of stress, there are no ways I can make it positive or forget it. booo

But :) ... Loup's cast is getting nice colours ... been signed by many people now, including a good friend of us, English rugby player (the real enemy yeah ;-) who has broken his foot a few weeks ago... and felt very concerned :)

Just a quickie

to prove I'm sober enough at this time of the night to blog a lil something :D

I had planned much more for my blog today but.. just lacked the time. I'll do better tomorrow, once we've finished with the visit to the hospital (which stresses me).

Like mom, like son (or vice versa!)

Dunno how it happened, at sport I think, during a push-ups session.
I can't use my wrist since I've arrived in Bretonie. It's a bit blue and painful. Nothing broken, I can still use my hand easily (phewww!)

Just a perfect way to start with the holidays, huh :P

Yeeheeeeeee (MJ's scream, my hand is possessed, so am I!)

Not very practical to take care of Loup. But I'm not alone here

Yeeeheeeeeee!

It hurts a bit, I'm tired from early driving, but Bretonie feels damn good! Cheers!

before the end of the night

...we'll be driving for wet Bretonie!

I hope the trip will be ok for Loup...
holidays (3 weeks!) won't taste the same with Loup's life being so limited to his wheelchair at the moment...
Not sure we can work as much as we wanted in the hobbit house... life's just a bit different at the moment.

But then, we'll be out of Paris, I won't have to carry Loup and his chair up and down... that is so good!

We've already rendez-vous next week in some hospital there, for new scans... I worry they give bad news like bones not joining each other... or whatever.

I'll give news anyway! I have my own mini PC now, which gets as much memory as my ol' one, with a mini mouse too! (and they say only men enjoy gadgets!!)

My plans during the holidays? Working (lol) on tattoo designs, having naps on the grass, finishing my fantastic book and starting another exciting one, doing regular workout because I need my fix, dancing on bagpipe & wearing my cute bikini as much as I can parce que je le vaux bien, merde! :P

Et voilĂ  :)

I want to keep them all for meself :P

Dorian gave me last month one of his biz cards. Beautiful! On the front side there's a photo of one of his food creations. The quality was so good!

I thought it would be perfect for my new biz cards too.
So as he advised me, I went to order them there

.. and I received them a couple of days ago and they are so perfect! The colours, the quality.. wawww!

I've also been working night and days, or so (since I don't have any more nights!), on my paintings catalogue. I hope I can get it before I leave Paris for hols!

It's a fact

..Charlie's Angels have got a much more interesting influence in my life than Michael ever did!
(shrugging)

I was watching him performing on tv... looking for the answers to why he was so popular.
I put aside all the mystery around him... I think his music must have been the main part (never enjoyed it but) because for the rest... a dress code that was absolutely terrible, a *touch my cock*, robot like kind of choreography that seemed so much in opposition with his fragile look & voice. Strange. Weird. What was the message hidden behind his moon walk, hm? (boiling mind)

Nothing attractive in him to me. And the fact he's dead cannot change anything to that. Death seem to be kinda kewl for the popularity rating. But it's a bit extreme!

Anyway, (coughing), I could faint for a few (very alive) singers/musicians so I understand the fever!

But who cares at the end, apart from me, that is ;-)
Just wanted to speak of something else than my lil one :P

A new blog is born!

...a blog full of good vibes and laughs!

I wish Jerôme's Blog much success (and remember, Jérôme, see ya next year to run after the cheese! deal? deal! :P)

Can someone teach me..

.. how to stand the pain of one's baby... because I find it very hard. Almost humanly impossible.
I'm lucky Loup has *just* broken a leg, how do people do with relatives at hospital, with serious illness, etc?

One of his painful screams is enough to make me feel like 6 feet under. I feel so helpless.
He's fallen asleep 10 minutes ago, and already starts to cry, feeling the pain again. God, too bad you don't exist, I would have blamed you.

We've been to hospital for scan control.
The 2 parts of the tibia have moved a bit, not vertically really to stick together, rather a bit horizontally. Damn.

The doc there said he'll keep his cast another week (7 weeks in total), we'll take it off (crossing fingers and everything) on the 17th of August. Blessed day.
But it might happen that he needs another cast after...........!

Ha well, that's it for the news.

summerish candyland

At the moment, I'm 90% mama, 10% sarah connor.

I don't have time for anything, all my energy and attention are focused on who you know :)

The only thing I can still do is sport in the evening, when Martin's back from work.
That requires a lot of motivation, physical pain (yeah really), but it brings me what I need.
In some other life, I'll be professional at sports. Too bad I realise it now only, I'm just too old to start with all of it. No regrets, 20 years ago, I was the antithesis of sport! :P

Anyway, I'm a mama and I'm a sportswoman, but that's far from being enough to me.

I feel a bit like when I had just given birth to Loup. Life focused on my lil one.
Oh I do it without forcing meself at all.

but (and it's midnight, and he's crying, asking for me), I can't help counting the days till it gets better for him (so for me too ;-)

Am I selfish?
dunno
maybe, that's important to be this way too sometimes. Just to preserve oneself :)

Ok, I run to my roaring lil one!

A pirate leg, muscles, etc

A wheelchair, even for kids, is really heavy! A Loup with a cast too!
I wouldn't be able to do it several times a day, but it worked. And Loup loved it outside.

He's being very reasonable (which breaks my heart! lol... mamas!), not asking to go out of his chair, not asking for anything he can't do. He is so aware of his own condition!

And I start to feel more comfortable with everyday details (toilets, etc)... but it's still pretty difficult.

Days (and nights!) are really long, can't wait for life to be normal again.
On Tuesday we go back to the hospital for new scans. I'm impatient to know how his leg goes.
Then on Saturday, if everything is ok, we should leave for Bretonie... not with the excitement I got a few days ago, but it will be much better there. And there will be relatives there to help. I will have breaks! (and Loup too :P)

Oh, Loup got the visit from his teacher on Friday!
She came with her hands full of games from school so Loup can have some fun with his favorite games! She also brought the mascot "Arthur", a teddy bear, so Loup does not feel alone :)
So sweet!
Oh and all the kids, who worried a lot for Loup, made a drawings for him on the last day at school. Very nice!

Back in time

That was just a week ago... gotta mention it because we had such a good time at the Gay Pride!
The kids loved the "party" spirit of it, I loved the diversity of it, the positive vibes floating around.
Martin's moustache had muuuuuch success too :P

My babes might be young but not too young to understand difference. They naturally know it since they've started with school.
Life is not built according to some dusty narrow-minded Bible's plan!
