Perspective

Lola and Loup have developped a lot their sense of friendship lately.

They confide and tell everything, just everything to their verybestfriendforever.
Their lil friends are very concerned, supportive.
That is so good.

There's a lot they don't tell me that they share with their friends, already.
It's a good moment in their life to start building their own world. They need it.
Specially at the moment when they can't or don't want to share all their fears and questions and anger sometimes with me, or their dad.

They do need it and as often as I can, I invite their friends at home, even for bloody homework ; )

Winter kitties

When my babes are away, I am so grateful to get feline love and cuddles!
They're lazy, they keep acting like teenagers (making stupid things all along the day, trying, testing, breaking), but they're really part of the lil gang we're forming now : )

November's always in the shadow ..

... Of December and Christmas!
I'd hate to be November, honest!

I don't know how to deal with Christmas this year... I hope my babes will get the best of it. Well ok, they're already having a taste of it : )

The tooth fairy ..

...gets bad habits.. like loving chocolate or craving for a cigarette at the moment.
But I spread my lil wings and made a good job : ))

The other day my baby boy woke up in the middle of the night. He came to me, said his moving tooth was really boring. I told him to just take it off (I was joking of course).
Well, he did it!

Arggg! I could "hear it"!

I get two "Conan the barbarian" at home, I think. hehe :P (and one Red Sonja, or two... three maybe!)

Pretty devil and lazy demon

this photo was such a hit on FB that I really had to share it on here ;-)

It's the kind of photo where the photographer is nothing, anybody can make such a photo.. BUT... the moment is unique and if you do not capture it... * shrugging *.. it's lost!

Vernissage (and lil helpers!)

I get 3 weeks to finish preparing my painting exhibition. About 3 other paintings to do... 1/3 of the painting are framed, being framed (acrylics, collages). I get more troubles with all the watercolours.
And I get lots and lots of candle holders to make, their colourful light will add what I need to the atmosphere.  God, days and nights are way too short.

I've just received the flyers (a LOT of them), and I gotta admit they're nice!

I'm focusing on it just now, it's helpful when you see the chaos in my life right now. I needed such a project, and not in 3 months.
And yes, I believe it's just good practice for all what will happen in the coming year.

The devils want to help, talk of that day like a BIG day. That's so wonderful : )

Yesterday, we went to buy fabrics in Montmartre and a few other stuff (lights etc). They're very serious about everything when it comes to the vernissage. That motivates me, makes me a bit optimistic :)

What have I captured here?

This photo of Lola...

She's actually watching Paris from le Sacré-Coeur but... it was as if she tried to look at (the past, the future?), she's upset, insecure?

I don't know.

Yeah.. it's just a face expression, but I don't see often that expression on my shrimpette's face. I wanna cuddle and reassure her.

The past was great and the future will be.

Same mama, same devils ..

Lately, I often tell the devils one day they'll be super proud of their mom...
One day, I'll take them with me to show my paintings in New York and Tokyo (my two main targets! lol).

They always answer "but mom, we're already super proud! "

aww...

Talking of art, Lola is developing a taste for acrylics! She has already a very personal way to use colours and paint!

As for Loup, he a taste for collages ! ... it's very funny, he gotta think a lot before associating "papers". That's very interesting, I must show you his work. I'll add a pic later.

Hunting

Been hunting yesterday with the shrimpette... hunting for shoes naturally! She found a pair she loved, she was flying above the pavement once she started wearing them!

And I ... god, I wasn't looking for anything... but I found kind of betty boop shoes (can't find any pic of them! grrmmpph), super high heels (12cm?), rocking ones.

Well I did not buy them, but added them to my mental list.

Brown boots and Betty Boops shoes will come next.

When I am rich.

The eye of the tiger

We went back to the hospital yesterday to talk with the guy there about Lola's improvements.
She has got only two real epileptic crisis since the beginning of her treatment (a month ago), several times she felt her body starting to shake but she could control it : )

It's quite good, the treatment is working, even if it had to be a bit intensified. She does not suffer from any of the side effects.

So she'll go on with the treatment, except that instead of having it for 6 months, she'll have for a year.

Pretty good to me that it works so well. My shrimpette is a real fighter, not that I had any doubt about it : )

Such a courageaous shrimpette : ))

Lola and I finally spent our day at Necker hospital on Friday.
I expected a short appointment, but they decided to make the necessary tests in the same day to confirm what they instantly said, from the symptoms and the videos of Lola's crisis.

We came back in the afternoon so that she could get another electroencephalogram. She had to fall asleep so that it could work properly.

It was very hot in the hospital, she was comfortably installed in a room with soft music, etc. After 15 minutes she was sleeping. The lil electrical connections in the brain started to talk a language I don't know.

The professor, the head of the neurologist department, was a tall man, taller than Martin I think. About 70 years-old, with a white beard and a mixture of super clever and sweet touch in the eyes and expression.

Lola was very impressed, in a good way.

He talked to Lola all the time, told her to come and watch the videos of her own crisis (I had never shown them to her, it's way too scary, already for me)... and was truly scared of her own image... but then he told her it was normal, because she suffered from a (small) form of epilepsy, and that is exactly what happens to people suffering from it.

She has started a treatment.

She was very happy to get a treatment. To get words. To have an adult talking to her about what she had.

I was sad and happy. Exhausted from the day, the stress.
We left hospital, I took Loup from a friend and one hour later, we were on the road to Brittany, to breathe for two days.

Lola slept wonderfully on that Friday night : )

Back to my beloved pollution!

...and to my high heels (wearing them already!) and oh god, to my big BOY! Yeah, my big computer! Large screen, real keyboard and enjoyable mouse... God, that makes a difference!

I'm sorry for the lack of words here and there, on blogs, on FB. It was hard to get time to sit and enjoy. I'll take my revenge : ))

okok, I'm just posting my holiday postcards for now and relax a bit : )

During this past month, I can say I was quite relaxed, yet always thinking hard... about work mainly. Love too, sex sometimes. I'm transparent.

Not a clear blue sky in my head though, never. I enjoy that pretty much.

My devils, my demons. Loup caught in the toilets again (after 35 minutes, I start to worry!), this time with my books about pin-ups! lol. Really....... so cute!

My tigers... loved the countryside of course, and easily got used to it. We had many cuddles times and lazy times. So different from the past years. Perfect

And of course... beach stuff.
Hey it's summer after all : ))

Breathing a bit !!! (I hope patience will pay)

Because it's been 6 months I've been waiting to meet someone who could really help me with Lola and her symptoms of  "night's epilepsy".
Lola's started to get these crises back in December with no possible reason. We thought of sleep troubles, intense nightmares... it happened more regularly then. And it was more and more shocking, like epilepsy can be. She's got tests, she saw doctors, neurologists, with no real diagnostics.

As a mom, that is so frustrating to be unable to help your kid. Lola asked why nobody helped her. She was mad and sad. And so was I.
Broken heart.

Then finally two days ago I got that call from the French Children's hospital, Necker hospital.
15 minutes from where I live in Paris : )))
Lola and I have an appointment there in 10 days! Oh god, I am so so happy!!!
Yes, I am so happy yes, you can't imagine, Lola will meet one of the best French neurologist specialised in kids.
It's a first relief. Really.

Shaving, hairs, daugther 'n mom

(Welcome in my bath tube, no more intimacy allowed!)

A moment with my shrimpette. yeah when on holidays, razor rules, I'm sorry for the lack of glamour in that!

Lola helped, it was really cute.

She was so delicate just like she is when dancing.
When she finsihed with my legs, she said :

"now give me your arms, mom" (she wanted full arms! lol)
Hey I swear I do not have hairy arms!

Bretonie (part 1)

A week I've been here now... And I'm not suffering from lack of civilization yet! Yeah!
Gotta say the lil house is getting so cosy and comfortable, the hard works for years are paying for sure! :)

So far (yes, yes, enfer et damnation, I am talking of the weather) we've got one beautiful day only. Sunshine, lazy mood and rosé wine (I like rosé, shame on me!;-)

3 hours of sun and rosé wine versus 6 days of rain and delicious planteur cocktails. Life isn't bad in Bretonie!

I welcome the rain, I could work without frustration on the orders I brought with me.
Better, I've started working for myself. Looking through the looking-glass you know. Loving it.

I want to update my blog regularly and I will, I'm just sorry for the bad quality of the photos... my screen is so bad that I can hardly see what I am posting (sigh).

Martin, the devils and demons are like in paradise. It is good to see them enjoying the time without the Parisian stress (that I love : )

Secret agent X

Loup has a new passion, a new goal in life. Being a secret agent.
He has never heard of James Bond though.
.
I think he has never seen what a secret agent was really... But the title is quite exciting for him I think.

Before he wanted to be a knight. But that involved war, or so he realized. Hm. Being a knight sounded ok but being part of a bloody war, nope.

He decided then to be a secret agent and calls it his new passion :))

Earlier, we went out to find a hat (too much sun lately). And he exulted, found THE hat he wanted and THE tie he thought perfect for a secret agent. I did not resist of course.

Lola petit rat, Lola lovely swan : )

I'll never push Lola to do what she does not want to do (except bloody homework)... but you see, she loves ballet and I find that absolutely brilliant. As long as she gets pleasure, it's perfect. I don't want to push her in a direction that will break her body and high spirits : )

It's been 3 years now Lola has started ballet courses and she has developed such a grace, I can hardly believe it.

It's really ballet that helped her here.

Such a beautiful transformation from the lil girl who was fighting with boys on the grass (she still does it), to the lovely bird on stage, inspired, concentrated and serene. So feminine.

I can't believe I (quite actively :P) participated to the creation of such a delicate creature.

Well, yeah ok, I am proud and happy. ** happy sighing **
