Tattooing

Hm, while I'm wondering about love and hate, life and death, cigarettes or cigarillos... will I finish this piece in time for next week?

It comes directly from what I am living, I gotta finish it quickly, to start another one. Suddenly everything's boiling in me... when I thought inspiration would fail me, chaos brings new perspectives.

Chaos... a friend of mine noticed i did not finished my sentences lately.. I start with something, jump to another topic, and another.

And truly, I realize that's me, at the moment. Chaos. Soon I hope a happy chaos again.

I hope to have it done for the varnishing. It will be both acrylics and collage.

The canvas is really big (1m15 high), I'm loving bigger stuff (huhu)

When I work, I forget everything.. November life, etc.
Work, sport and time with my babes are the very best medicine to that cold and grey atmosphere.

Anyway, if it goes the way I have it in mind, this will be the central piece of my varnishing. I have still so much to do to organise everything! Arg!

I'm totally crazy for ice-cream!... but not only.. ;-)

Desire

In my quite fascinating book about  Adolph H. the author mentions a most logical theory that I had never thought about really.
That sucks, I'm really not blond, yet... I simply do not take the time to * think * really. lol (now that sounds very blondish!)

Anyway, the author says somewhere that you desire something that you don't have, that you miss.

Missing, not possessing feed the desire.

But hey, of course that's not stupid... I really want the strawberry pie I don't have right now.
The perfect red wine? no thanks, I've got it for two hours now.

Poor rich men that have already everything!

That's a scary theory... Can't you desire what you have then? You can appreciate what you have but... desire it? Deep inside, is it possible?

(right now I desire classic powerful music, not Wagner (!), something that could take me SO high)

When size matters a little bit, but not really

Bitch vs Bad boy

So we women would be more attracted by bad boys, it's well known.
In magazines they even say a man not smiling at all would be more attractive to women.

Shit. I suspect these articles are written by men.

Of course the bad boy has some sex-appeal. On the screen, in books. In real life, bad boys are just nothing to me. Or just like candies. Just have one from time to time, enjoy what you can get from them... but don't get too much of them.

No no, a man, clever and sensitive, has much more sex appeal to me than a stupid bad boy.
 

What do men enjoy? I wonder. We are supposed to prefer bad boys... Do men prefer bitches?
I would bet that men love their women clever and sensitive most of the day, but real good bitches in bed. hehe... dunno, I only repeat what I've heard!

I think real bitches are pains. Perfect on the screen, but not in real life. Just like bad boys.

PS: oh and psssshhhit... a rel bad boy has no chance in front of a real bitch. Yeah yeah!

Happy Meal

Here's my new collage, and another to follow in the next days! yeahhh!
Collages. A passion. I really love the other freedom collages can give, the kitsch side of it makes anything possible. Things that wouldn't work in a painting. That is very exciting.
 

I'm really happy, might be the first that will hang on my walls (I usually don't put my own work on my walls, there's so much of myself in my work, that it would be like facing mirrors everywhere. Eeeeck. Does that make sense? lol I wonder)

Again, the photo quality betrays the quality of the collage. It's quite splendid (laughing! no false modesty allowed it seems) when I see it here next to me.
On the photo, it's not sharp enough and it's hard to avoid any reflection because of the varnish on it, which acts like a lil light sucker!

 I'm looking for a plain frame for it, black. I'll sell it framed, with no glass, no need for one :)

 It took me days and days to make it... Collages look simple to do, but it's SO much work. There's always a lot I want to express on my paintings, even more on my collages. I create my realities, my world. Ok, there's always a "front page" story, here a kitty feeding her kittens... and behind a lot more. That's what I like, apparent simplicity hiding a lot more, if you want more. But you can take it for what it is too. Just a fantasy collage, with a mermaid playing the sardine : )

Life is so busy, so so busy that despite a hundred of different topics I've in mind, I just can't sit down for my bloggie whenever I'd like.

I've been working on candle holders orders lately, had to finish them quickly. I've several projects in mind to come, paintings and collage... here are 3 project among the dozen that is on papers. Sorry for the bad quality sketches, it's just to share bits of my secret garden with you : )

Of course when there's a barbarian that tries to sabotage everything I start, it's just less easy ;)

I was so important and symbolic to me, I wanted to finish the year with a painting and started 2011 with a new one. Done. I'm so happy! (dancing around, throwing petals and drinking champ' again!)

I wanted to start the year with something very much into Fantasy art. A woman, not really a mermaid, more like a fish woman... ready to bite (swallow? huhu) a frog... instead of kissing it to get the expected prince charming. That's the whole idea of it. (Don't be fooled girls, it never works this way with princes charming!)

It was my first painting with Conan and Satan around. Hm working conditions might be warmer than usual but not just the easiest! :P

Alice's theme

So many jewels when you start exploring tv & movies' music.

Danny Elfman, ok, we all know him, we're kinda used to his style (Wink @the man with the harmonica :P)
But, again, here with Alice... he was quite inspired, that piece keeps stuck in my mind since days!

Total abandon

I'm working since a few days on a series about abandon, the desire to let yourself follow your own inspiration, desires, sensations.

I'm working on the third one of the series, another one will follow, that's sure. I want to explore abandon every way I can feel it. And I've got so positive feedback about it that of course it's motivating. Yet, the higher motivation, it's the pleasure taken, the feeling I gotta expressthis abandon . The harmony between my hands, heart & mind. Yo do not reach that point everyday, well, I don't .... so, yeah, it feels pretty good :)

Petit teasing

Next work will be made of watercolours and Indian ink, it should simply be about summer's twilight. There will be different characters, with 2 central ones.



I really want to use again the Predator creature as a first visual basis for the woman, because visually (but not only) it rocks to me :)

Do you use in English "Le roi est mort. Vive le roi!" ? Ok not on a daily basis, lol, not many kings anymore around, huh.. but do you ever use that expression?

It's been, omg I don't even dare mentioning how long it took me... It's been like 7 months I've started working on my new website. Took me that long.

And really I've put it online but it's not even finished yet. Still many texts to write, features to add, etc. But I had to make it alive. I really had to.

I made it as simple as possible (which usually makes everything more complicate in back office ;-) -thank you Martin for all the help when I was like stuck in a thick technical fog!-
I made the site looking like me, quite passionate. Ok, it's a more sensuous approach too... Sex sells, ok, and sex is not that bad at the end :)

lol, oh well, I don't need to justify my new sexy paintings anyway!

I really hope you like it. I think it's easy to check all the paintings. Easy to buy. Easy to enjoy the gallery.
And there will be many more features to come (if you have any suggestion by the way... you're most welcome!)
