Gardener's ritual

Woa, i have not left my computer behind me but sitting down to update my bloggie? I thought I'd never make it!

 Just before leaving for Bretonie, I had finished a watercolour painting.


Lovely, pretty one. It was more about spring than summer. Water everywhere.

That was certainly a sign of what we'd get in Bretonie for Summer! grmmmphh

An angel coming to tell a woman she'll soon be pregnant... That's enough to feed many fantasies huh!

Thank God (actually!) for providing so many lil interesting and often salacious stories!

Gabe and Mary (full painting here)... a couple we never think about. I wanted to make them human. One could imagine I just use simple provocation but that's not true. I don't care, the provocation is so easy. So, not interesting. No one, no god or ideas should reduce men to slaves or should require worship. We are them.

I refuse the holy tale by making it human. I won't believe in holy tales but...
Yes I can believe in desire and love.

We should worship a woman being pregnant from a ghost father (holy spirit?) ... isn't it scary that so many people believe it (including me for a long time) to be so real.

 Brrrrr... makes me shiver how easy we are to be convinced about whatever!

Happy Meal

Here's my new collage, and another to follow in the next days! yeahhh!
Collages. A passion. I really love the other freedom collages can give, the kitsch side of it makes anything possible. Things that wouldn't work in a painting. That is very exciting.
 

I'm really happy, might be the first that will hang on my walls (I usually don't put my own work on my walls, there's so much of myself in my work, that it would be like facing mirrors everywhere. Eeeeck. Does that make sense? lol I wonder)

Again, the photo quality betrays the quality of the collage. It's quite splendid (laughing! no false modesty allowed it seems) when I see it here next to me.
On the photo, it's not sharp enough and it's hard to avoid any reflection because of the varnish on it, which acts like a lil light sucker!

 I'm looking for a plain frame for it, black. I'll sell it framed, with no glass, no need for one :)

 It took me days and days to make it... Collages look simple to do, but it's SO much work. There's always a lot I want to express on my paintings, even more on my collages. I create my realities, my world. Ok, there's always a "front page" story, here a kitty feeding her kittens... and behind a lot more. That's what I like, apparent simplicity hiding a lot more, if you want more. But you can take it for what it is too. Just a fantasy collage, with a mermaid playing the sardine : )

It's been weeks it's already a very active blog but I had taken the time I wanted to talk of it! pffff!

Peter, first a friend, but also a most talented photographer, a man who looks at life from a very unique perspective, shares here with us his works, his passion, his thoughts, his vibes.

A blog I wanted to see alive and kicking since years! Yeah yeah, I made prayers every night to see the birth of this blog! See, it worked,  now we get it!!! Hope you'll enjoy it the way I do!

From Soul to Thong

I'd sell my soul for another key lime Pie, for a bottle of champ' or rocking boots... So I can easily sell a thong with one of my designs on it... and be supa proud of it!


I've opened this shop in Cafe Press some years ago, without finding the time to finish it. Well it's not finished but at least there's more than one mug to sell :P
Quite complementary to my gallery.


So if you fancy a shirt for your dog or a thong for your girl... just get the very best one, huh

My crystal ball ...

... tells me it's cool to be an artist, it's even MUCH better to make money while being an artist!

So right now I'm working on stuff I had started years ago... to finally be able to get prints and goodies on my gallery.

I've just finished one of these "extra shops", which is made a bit more for the American market (prints on this site will be sent from the USA).




Time to work on other shops, more possibilities.
And I gotta hurry because inside I boil to get back to pure creation!

Some kind of pride

That's really what I feel when I open that new book of paintings and collages that I've just published. A very helpful, and beautiful, tool to "carry" all my work with me and show it around (much better than on a screen). Can you see that devilish pride on thet face below (lol). Not a fake pride either :P

 And when I see all what I've done, and all what every colour, every curve or character mean to me, it makes me wanna work so much harder... give birth to many new creatures, to love them even more with my brushes, to build their fate, their happiness or tragedy. Life.

What a power! .... an artist's illusion or reality?
Probably both.

Other and different books will follow. My New year's resolution! (I had none so far!)

More abandon

This time, abandon to.. dreams and rêveries, warmth, tenderness, affection.
It's more sensuous than I had intended to, but I think really that's part of my painting style, deep in me. And the more I see it, the more I discover many of my favourite themes behind.

Total abandon

I'm working since a few days on a series about abandon, the desire to let yourself follow your own inspiration, desires, sensations.

I'm working on the third one of the series, another one will follow, that's sure. I want to explore abandon every way I can feel it. And I've got so positive feedback about it that of course it's motivating. Yet, the higher motivation, it's the pleasure taken, the feeling I gotta expressthis abandon . The harmony between my hands, heart & mind. Yo do not reach that point everyday, well, I don't .... so, yeah, it feels pretty good :)

Long live my art site !

Do you use in English "Le roi est mort. Vive le roi!" ? Ok not on a daily basis, lol, not many kings anymore around, huh.. but do you ever use that expression?

It's been, omg I don't even dare mentioning how long it took me... It's been like 7 months I've started working on my new website. Took me that long.

And really I've put it online but it's not even finished yet. Still many texts to write, features to add, etc. But I had to make it alive. I really had to.

I made it as simple as possible (which usually makes everything more complicate in back office ;-) -thank you Martin for all the help when I was like stuck in a thick technical fog!-
I made the site looking like me, quite passionate. Ok, it's a more sensuous approach too... Sex sells, ok, and sex is not that bad at the end :)

lol, oh well, I don't need to justify my new sexy paintings anyway!

I really hope you like it. I think it's easy to check all the paintings. Easy to buy. Easy to enjoy the gallery.
And there will be many more features to come (if you have any suggestion by the way... you're most welcome!)

(pssst do you think it's a good excuse to have champagne? Oh I wish!)
