I wanna do bad things with you ...

Do you have any idea what I'm going to talk about?
Sure, you have...

Well, ok, don't be disappointed, I'm going to talk music and tv.

I have no time for cinema, no time for tv... but then how, I don't know, I get time to watch series on my computer when I'm busy doing stuff that does not require full focus.
And honestly (God bless streaming) there are series that are really as good as good movies. Good plots, actors, clever stuff etc. Also much crap among them, I agree.

Anyway, the last ones I've seen, I would highly recommend them! Actors, plot, all is close to perfection. Maybe I'm an easy target, but then... Let yourself be tempted!!!

I've just watched 3 seasons of True Blood. The vampire stuff is not the most attractive stuff and that will probably be the only series I'll watch about them, but it was highly entertaining! Makes me think differently about Louisiana ;-)
The first 2 seasons are woaaa.... into action!!!!

and then there's Mad Men. That one is excellent, though the trailer never tempted me... I only listened to Michelle's advice and got into it! And if you resist cigarettes and whisky after a few seasons, then you're my heroe ;-)

and the third, that I watched on purpose before getting to Miami (how many seasons, 5, 6?): Dexter. Which is also very good, as a very good book. Except that I don't like at all reading thrillers. Well let's say it's a spicy piece of chocolate!

Have you seen anything lately that deserve some attention?

Beaujolais day ?

As a student, I have pretty good memories of that great marketing event... Happening religiously on the third Thursday of November; it's almost winter, it's always cold, rainy, and celebrating wine sounds like a cool idea.

I wonder if that Beaujolais nouveau  is even known abroad or not.

I don't know why I bought a bottle earlier, I won't even drink it today... I'm just a good target when it comes to wine! Unfortunately the Beaujolais nouveau isn't the best wine, honestly. Well, with luck, it's * drinkable * if you drink it during the event, that is!
Then you're in the mood to celebrate, it's quite cheap, so there you go... you forget you drink crap! lol

Well, I remember I have tried some not so bad in the past, but really... never heard anyone telling his favourite wine was Beaujolais nouveau and there is obviously a reason to that.

edit: I'll try it tonight, won't resist the fun of it (memo to self: one day gotta test my level of "resistance" when it comes to fun, I'll be seriously scared!!!).
This year they say it does not have a touch of banana but rather of wild strawberries! Yummmm? Yummm!

Of boots and boobs

How can I start this post? hm.

well, let's be direct: the other day, one of my trainer, a killer (much harder than most male-ish trainers), a friend, showed me her boobies, new boobies, between 2 sessions.

I was very curious, Yes I wanted to see! Sport is not a real friend for breasts, you can work hard on your chest, that never make your boobs get bigger!
(sigh)

My trainer had more muscles than boobs and really wanted to get her femininity back.
And god, that was a success! I had never seen newly made boobs from so close and I must say it looked much better than I thought! In perfect balance with the body, really!

And my trainer, who had dreamt of it for 15 years was SO happy! My prejudices faded away. If you're reaaaaaally desperate and sad, go for it (but get the right surgeon, I've seen many ugly stuff in the changing room)!

When Caroline Ingalls gets suicidal tendencies

I've cooked all day, or so! yeahhhh (got the proof below! I'm SUCH a Caroline, sometimes!)

I love giving the devils a sense for treats. Ok, I hate cooking, but I hide it very well for my babes. Today, it was pretty fun, Lola was reading the recipes, like holding the magic book with magic spells... and Loup, lil man of action, was making the cooking part.

While cooking, we always discuss a lot. And then, I started to talk about Christmas. Told them Santa Claus has an official toys list called .... "amazon.fr"

God, I am so naive. They left the cooking instantly and spent hours and lots of sheets of papers to take notes. They've made endless lists.
Loup wants everything in the "weapon" category. EVERYTHING!
Lola wants ... as many things from every categories !

Now they wonder if Santa can really cary everything in a single night ...

Alice's theme

So many jewels when you start exploring tv & movies' music.

Danny Elfman, ok, we all know him, we're kinda used to his style (Wink @the man with the harmonica :P)
But, again, here with Alice... he was quite inspired, that piece keeps stuck in my mind since days!

So choux mes Schu !

How to survive in Paris (#2) ??
... What can you do when when your shoes are SO wet that you're about to catch death any time you wear them?

I've got the answer! Finding new ones! Supa waterproof of course!

(I do love the rain!)

These boots are not in leather, cheap materials (soooo, cheap boots!), but I fell for them, had to get them! And I don't regret! They rock, I'm flying with them on! Oh and their box, the package, so perfect! :P (I'm so much a girl, can't help it - and I don't even try, really - !)

(I absobloodilutely need them in brown too!

No, no obsession here. It's just winter, or so, gotta distract myself sometimes!)

Memo to self : when I win lottery and get my shoe factory, I'll create 2 types for each model, a high quality and a cheap one! (and if anyone wanna steal my super concept... well... I'll bless him / her :P)

How to survive in Paris #1

... when it rains non stop for days and days, and days.

You gotta have a waterproof handbag of course! I mean, I carry my life in my handbag and I hadn't planned my life to get wet so quickly //oO\\.
I needed a waterproof bag. Found one, after days and days of exploration. Got it for such a good price!

Like with most of what I like wearing, it had to be a compromise between Indiana Jones and Marilyn Monroe. Wild, and glamour.

lol I know what you're thinking : what's wild and glamour in this bag???

* shrugging * just everything! :P

Hoist the Colours!

getting into the mood for the coming belated Halloween party !

Voilà, another fantastic Party at Michelle and Frédéric's yesterday!
Perfect cheesecakes, divine cupcakes & such a warm atmosphere! (& We had a professionnal DJ! yeah yeah!)
We had real good time. Dancing, singing, eating, drinking, games for the kids.
At the end of the party, the kids discovered for the very first time Michael Jackson's vid of Thriller. Lola's fascinated with the dancing part, Loup with the werewolf transformation! hehe
:))

We went there dressed as pirates (had no time to look for real Halloween stuff)... not super original but at least we came as pirates with a French touch: "Pirates on strike"

My metal Halloween with a pink tail

(sorry FB guys I kind repeat myself here, but you get an extra drawing at least :P)

Let me see. Back on Sunday evening.
A sore ankle and a * I want to hibernate now and for the next 6 months * kind of mood. I'm in the metro. Crossing Paris. Late for my "rendez-vous" with the cellos' guys.

I wasn't wearing anything special, just dressed in black with loooovely black boots and my favorite black necklace. But once in the Parisian metro, I was suddenly special, plainly dressed among the funniest creatures that were going to their bloody parties.
I had no idea the French were so much into Halloween!
I've had real good laughs on my way to Apolcalyptica's concert!

Well, the concert was good, but... I have actually left before the end of the show.

There's some big part of Apocalyptica that I love (my opinion is that what they do the best is covering metal or classic songs)

I reached some kind of 7th Heaven when I heard them playing for real Metallica's stuff (later they did Sepultura too, so good!)
Want a taste of it? Mmmm

if I didn't stay till the end... it's because... well, they have a singer and OMG... they shouldn't. Want a taste of it too ? (I don't force ya huh ;-). Here's one of their new sung song ;-)
Eeeeeck. nononono, the singer's style does not fit, the cellos neither. Nothing! (personal view huh ;-)

Anyway, once I left, outside to breathe fresh air, alone in the dark..... a HUGE kind of rat faced me. eeeeeck! That was my Halloween treat I guess. The rat did not move. Just faced me, while eating something. Watching me. Can't I even scare a rat??!!! Oh shit, gotta do something about that!

Some kind of pride

That's really what I feel when I open that new book of paintings and collages that I've just published. A very helpful, and beautiful, tool to "carry" all my work with me and show it around (much better than on a screen). Can you see that devilish pride on thet face below (lol). Not a fake pride either :P

And when I see all what I've done, and all what every colour, every curve or character mean to me, it makes me wanna work so much harder... give birth to many new creatures, to love them even more with my brushes, to build their fate, their happiness or tragedy. Life.

What a power! .... an artist's illusion or reality?
Probably both.

Other and different books will follow. My New year's resolution! (I had none so far!)

Reputation (not fake)

When I go for lunch at JB's, just downstairs, JB serves me 2 beers, directly (=without me asking for anything)! LOL
I swear I can never get used to that ... I mean it! :P

Of course I refuse he does that all the time!
but it's his way to make me feel welcome.

And at some point, you gotta accept with a big smile when you're offered such a pleasant surprise!

Paris, a wild wolf & a running mama

After 10 days of Heaven in Miami... had to get back to a cold and grey Paris. Stop, I don't complain! I love Paris, but really in November, it sucks. I thought I would not get used to the brutal change. Thank god, Loup was very helpful, keeping me VERY busy ;-)

Lola's spending her first vacations in Hamburg, all by herself (without her mama d'amour!) at her grand parents' :)))

So Loup had a full week to torture his mama, to teach her how to become a proper knight, to explain her why telling cul all the time is so funny, why chocolate can't hurt the stomach, why I should pay him whenever we play @ playmobils (//oO\\), why it's so good for his health to eat in front of tv, why having 23 swords already (I've counted them!) is not enough when you plan to be a real knight.

God, boys are fascinating, and I truly mean it! :)))

... but they can't fool us, nenene.
Hm, well, there might be some exception :D

Treats or Trick?

Trick! of course!

I bought another sword to Loup the other day. Can someone teach me how to resist the lil devil?
I was so busy buying something else that I did not notice details about the sword.

Till we got out... suddenly I saw like blood moving on the sword. And an horrible skull laughing at me! Trick Trick, got my trick!

Well, when Loup saw my bloodless/surprised/shocked face... he begged that I don't give back his new rockin' sword. It's a bit yuckky but still rockin' :P. Sure he'll keep it * shrugging * :)

Pirate pirated! grmpphh

somehow my account has been hacked and invisible hands are taking care of that right now.

It does not affect too much my blog, but my gallery is gone since 2 days now (sigh)

I can't tell if it's only my account or more on the web hosting side (shrugging)

Ok, let's see wait & see... I'll only have a rum when I get everything back!

edit: It's back! Yeahhh! and it came from the shopping site I use, there was a crack(?) ... Martin will have homework tonight to help me check about security stuff ;-)

Miami treats

There's so much I could tell about everyone single photos. But anyway, no blabla today. Hope you enjoy :)

Miami bitch

well as you see, life was not too hard in South Beach (I swear I did not spend my whole time on the beach! :P)

I used to run every other day along the beach in the very early morning. Such pleasure.
The brown shorts, you can't wear much more than that overthere (I still wear my boots huh!). Simply too hot, and people don't care, nothing's formal, so cool!
Oh, and my trip to the Everglades! memorable :))

Miami contrasts

South Beach, its terrific hotels (click on the pics for larger view)

vs Little Haïti... bars on the windows everywhere. God everywhere. Deep poverty

Miami Vice

the real one tastes oh so good!

I've just put 60 pics on FB and just can't do it as well on here (I don't use Picasa or Flickr, life's too short! :P)

I will add a few other pics though, hoping it will give you a taste of Miami.
People looked at me kinda strangely when I said I'd spend a week over there. They would have chosen anything but Miami. Some had been there and were disappointed.

So I wasn't sure anymore if I'd like it there.
Oh but...
What a wonderful surprise!!! It was much beyond my expectations. Of course I was privileged, I was in South Beach, and there you get clubs, art, restaurants, tattoos studios, the sand and the beach. Palm trees, huge, everywhere.

As soon as I arrived at the airport, (once I passed all the security stuff! too much, too long!),I knew I'd love it.
The heat, beyond 30°C, almost night and day, I got used to it pretty quickly. Sometimes stopped the AC in my room, opened windows, just to feel that heat.

Give me a art studio well located and a good school for the devils, I pack the luggage again :P

The sea, so blue, so warm, is so much part of the city. It makes of Miami quite an exceptional city! Tropical, inviting.
I could see myself running along the golden beach every morning before going to work. So much energy boiling there.

I spent half the day exploring other part of the city (some being SO SO poor), discovering art, talking art, etc. .. and the rest of the day, well, on the beach. Loading batteries before getting back to the cold and strikes :)

The only more negative point is that it's really expensive overthere. You would just die from shock in front of the prices for alcohols!
But I was really in one of the posh parts of the city, I expected it.

There I've almost heard more people talking Spanish than English, that was also quite amazing. Loved that diversity of culture.

I've caressed alligators, tasted them too, enjoyed the best happy hours, got often lost, swam among dozens of fishes, purred in the sun, and explored a lot. What I wanted.

People were so nice. Americans being open and very helpful, I had no doubt about that, just a confirmation :))

And about travelling alone? Hard to leave everybody but so positive to be with oneself, to load the batteries. I really recommend it! Martin gotta do once, being an explorer with the bag on the back like in old times (when we were ermm younger! lol) feels great. Looking at new part of the world with virgin eyes. The world is beautiful.

And well, South Beach's made for party Candy, for sure!

Still in orbit :)

I really, really did not expect my trip to be that good.
I loved it overthere. Fascinating in many ways. I'll tell you everything about it. But for the moment, I put the one of the songs that you simply hear everywhere there at the moment. Can't make 3 steps without hearing it. This one is pretty bad, actually I can tell it's crap, real sticky crap. lol. But with a fine margarita, or a cold mojito (actually you do need them to possibly enjoy these songs)...  in front of the beach, you might start moving your ass on the beat! :P

in orbit for a week

Florida, me voilà. ! ... gotta check how warm the sun can be in Miami! I'll be back with an answer :)

cheers!

Missed the target!

My lil devil is actually totally devilish!
This morning, on his way to the toilets, still half asleep, Loup came to me:

" Mom, you know... Yesterday I was REALLY angry, so I did something. "
huh?
"I went to the toilet and, on purpose I missed the target, I did not pee where I should have peed"

And he left me, speechless!

Not even 5 and already planning irrational revenges!

A birthday menu

Ma shrimpette will be 8 tomorrow, and I've asked her what would be a perfect meal to her...

That's cool (and a bit unusual for a bday meal! lol), a kind of Japanese meal! I should spend more than 15 minutes in the kitchen (phewwww!)

Mes Poppins : )

Some already know about the tragedy ;-) ... I'm selling the wonderful brown boots I had found a few weeks ago...

I just can't walk with them. Not that they're too high but they're not made for me. I couldn't guess when I bought them, I found them so beautiful that, walking 15 seconds with them felt like flying! :P

But anyway, the perfect boots do not exist, and that's somehow a relief for the hunter that I am :)

I think I've never introduced you those. High, reaching the skies, but supa comfortable (been tested and approved!). They were (not that) cheap. But they look divine with the right clothes. A mixture between Blondie, Mary Poppins and Indiana Jones!

Girlie weekend

Last weekend, Martin had the time of his life in Bretonie, alone with... Loup! No girls around to stress them, it seems they will do it again ( I can't believe they find it so cool without us! :P )

On our side, oh gawd, it was so cool, quiet! (really the devils needed a break from each other, they fight a lot at the moment, and I realize I ask many efforts from Lola all the time. She deserved such a weekend!)

We were out all the time, crossing Paris, eating out, enjoying the sun, visiting girlfriends.... and shopping like girls can only do it!

For the first time in my life, I had to stop shopping because... I couldn't carry anymore the dozens of bags I had! I just could not believe it!

If * that * is not perfect decadence.... :)

Paris was so beautiful in the sun. My shrimpette in the Parisian sun was so adorable.

We had a good time. And some cool goodies in the bags :P

Perfection does not exist ?

Last week I crossed Paris from Montparnasse, to Bastille to Opera ... took me 2 days to find the new perfect beauties!

(I lie!!! perfect shoes do not exist, or they do for 2 hours only, then you realise your quest is not over, you've not reach the grail... sigh, a never ending quest!)

But these are close to perfection, 6 months I had them in mind (without knowing they existed, how's that?! hehe, yeah I know..) & I found them!

the colour is perfect (they're darker than on the pic), the shape, splendid on the leg, the folds of the leather... incredible! ... makes real happy feet!

The heel though... high! almost 10cm!

So far I haven't taken these babes out, I'm training at walking with them at home. And when the three of us are ready...

... we'll make a big tour, with a stop in some boulangerie to celebrate.

Oh by the way, I'm not obsessed with boots, I'm just hmm, ermm, I get some kind of detached interest in them

More abandon

This time, abandon to.. dreams and rêveries, warmth, tenderness, affection.
It's more sensuous than I had intended to, but I think really that's part of my painting style, deep in me. And the more I see it, the more I discover many of my favourite themes behind.

Summer's gone?

... But can I keep the bikini close?

26°C and a supa sunny Paris, it could be worse! I've almost fell asleep on the grass yesterday! (happy sigh)
The only 2 details that reminded me it was Autumn were the lower position of the sun & the delicious grapes we've been eating all day...

Don't you love my lil Valkyrie, holding her knife?!
Both are training hard to save the World, one day. Soon! :)

Autumn shivers

Don't you feel it in the air? So many reasons to shiver with pleasure:

-Summer's still here :P

-mushrooms are back & they take me really high (no not this kind of mushrooms!)

-reading a book that is a challenge feels incredible (pushing limits!)

-seeing Martin determined to practice as many martial arts as he can! lol That's cool! I wait for him to break bricks now!

-receiving a totally unexpected feedback from 2 customers. A wonderful feedback full of emotion (fuck, I can create that! waw!)

-enjoying 2 devils that are so happy to be back @school!

-feeling physically back on top with exercise, and that brings loooots of shivers! :)

Total abandon

I'm working since a few days on a series about abandon, the desire to let yourself follow your own inspiration, desires, sensations.

I'm working on the third one of the series, another one will follow, that's sure. I want to explore abandon every way I can feel it. And I've got so positive feedback about it that of course it's motivating. Yet, the higher motivation, it's the pleasure taken, the feeling I gotta expressthis abandon . The harmony between my hands, heart & mind. Yo do not reach that point everyday, well, I don't .... so, yeah, it feels pretty good :)

Split personnalité ?

I have my own very French way of using the English language (forgive me for that, I've always kinda felt bad for the reader), a language full of lil mistakes.. but the English language has become so much part of me that when I think about something, it naturally comes in English first, most of the time! In my mind, I talk to myself in... English! lol
(whaaaat? you never talk to yourself? a pity! one of the best company you can find! Very supportive :P)

I used to find that very disturbing! English is not my mother tongue, I don't tame it perfectly at all, I don't live in an English-speaking country (far from that really! lol)... so I can't explain why it happens, but I now live with it in a most natural way.

I've noticed that French language comes more easily when it comes to food, to deeper thoughts, like when talking politics or literature for instance, English comes naturally for sex, slang, fast reactions, anger, desires, feelings (probably why I keep blogging in English now. I'm not a deep thought kind of person :P)

Well, when I gotta explain something, defend a point of view, French comes first. When I describe my paintings, much easier in English to me.
And by the way, I have my third (not so) hidden language: my hands making doodles! yeahhh! so cool!

I truly think you don't say exactly the same when using one language or the other. My own sensitivity adapts to what fits me. That's really practical.

I wish I knew 5 other languages, including music, and would switch according to what's the most appropriate!

Charlotte à la fraise (tagada)

I like this most charming Frenchie, her soft voice (just like a whisper, really!) taking me where I want when I need softer sounds. Like right now, as working on some let's say sensuous painting, it fits. I need much concentration, metal is less appropriate :P

Charlotte or Air have the same effect on me. Do you have also your soft musical oasis?

A Tuesday on the grill, à la française.

While the government spend like 7 of our millions just for poor communication, to convince 67 years-old is a right age for retirement, civil servants are back in the streets to express their disagreement.

What will come out of all that? nothing.
Retirement? Come on, right now there is so much important than that..
And I'm sorry but again common sense (like a surgeon can't work properly for 50 years!) should prevail and we should stop making one law for all. We should adapt to professions

" One for all and all for one! " really .. that only works for the three musketeers ;-)

The education system is deteriorating year after year, right. But what can I expect from the government? That it defends my own interests? those of our kids? Nope.

I don't ask my mom, who knows me very well, to decide for me... I can't ask a bunch of guys will all the powers to decide what the best for me! Nonsense.
Give me my money back... the government, whatever the political preference, from right wing, left wing will not use the money we give it with common sense (offering the best conditions to kids and teachers to share knowledge) for the sake of our kids.

The strike? ........ What's the point? Block those who have the power, who make the decisions you refuse, not us. That simply sucks.

We throw young teachers in the system like sheep in the Lion's arena. We ask teachers to make the job of the parents. And finally of course the kids and Knowledge suffer from all what the government creates.

What sucks even more is that I can't think of any way to improve the system. Education should be given more money, more means, more autonomy, much more flexibility ?
