lesson number 478, chapter 27

If you think keeping your kids busy and very active all day without interuption -without a single nap- will make them exhausted enough to go to bed early, happy to start with a peaceful night...

.........

... well you're wrong! You should know better than that, huh!

YOU will be the real exhausted one and YOU only will do anything to reach your bed
(and nope, you won't jump into your bed soon enough! What did you think!)

Pffff...

Vive les mariés!

The BlogSphere has been very fertile in the past months... So many births here (nods nods) and there!

(happy sigh)

And today it's a wedding we celebrate! Yeeepeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!! Champ' on the way!

If I remember, today Fennelin has jumped into the optimistic crowd of married ones!

481...

...photos selected to be printed, which represents a year (july 2005 - july 2006).
Ok now we all have digit cams, but I still wanna prints of the best photos.
It is so much more pleasant to watch them on paper and not on a screen!

As for the price, they've changed a lot too. For 481 photos (10x13cm), guess how much it costs? 43 euros. Much cheaper than what we used to have before, huh!

I think Lola has a real sense for fashion!
When she starts with "mom I come back, I go to dress like a prince and put make-up", she NEVER wants me to help her, and then she usually comes back after 30 minutes, minimum! LOL

10 cm shorter

If you expected a post about the political perspective in the Grail Quest, not your day, sorry!

As promised to Jenny, I put a pic of my new haircut (Jenny's new hair cut is on her bloggie if you're curious, and I bet you are!). Well, I just asked Martin (my official hairdresser) to cut 2cm maximum, which turned to be 10. Not big change anyway!

I just HATED Martin's first reaction with the scissors in the hand: first cut and he started to laugh histerically! Something was WRONG..;-)

...and it doers not show but I'm still with my sticky cold! Coughing, heaving headaches, etc... 2 weeks now! Pfffffff
(no, the doc is not necessary)

Army dreamers

is the song echoing in my head since I woke up (glad for once it's not one of Lola's songs... like bloody "fleur de vanille"! lol... phewwwwwww)

It's one of my favorite song by Kate Bush. I've never been touched really by what she did till quite recently. Martin's a big fan, so I can explore his albums :)

Found

Finally I find the second season of Lost even beder than the first (we only have it now in France).
I know, that's a very useless post... so I will add too that I REALLY wonder how come the young couple living in the flat above (just under the roofs) can stand spending their days at home without going out. Never ever!
I mean it must be 37, 38°C just under the roofs right now... And they stay there, boiling. I find that very strange!
And never going out... hm, so bizarre!

Anyway, with Lost and my neighbours, there's so much suspense in my life that I think I need an ice-cream just right now. I don't go often to cinema anymore (thank you my lil devils), but I can create the purfect *conditions*, see :P

Wordpress-ing me

pffffff.... here's about the way I feel after 2 hours trying to do stuff with images on my new art blog (on Wordpress)

(by Juan Giménez)

There's a lil something I can't fix and that's driving me crazy!
Thank Gawd I have a *computer guru* at home that will help me.... but I'm still grrmpph-ing at meself for wasting so much time!

I wonder how so many people make so many great stuff on the internet... I still feel like wearing thick gloves when it comes to fix internet lil problems!

That's when Loup wakes up, ready to play. 10 days he's done that now!
Bloody heat!

(sigh)

Loup has just turned 9 (months-old) and life must be like Heaven to him with Lola and I around him all day!

He wears now clothes for 2 years old kids but he's still *small* enough for me to bite his lil feet with huge pleasure :)

It's simply indecent

..inappropriate
..incomprehensible
.. and really inconvenient

to be still sick after more than a week when outside temperature never goes below 33°C

(sigh)

Days are really long when you feel that way and have to take care of lil devils suffering too from the heat.
Thank Gawd I have my lil doctor to take care of me! Phewww

"Tronche de cake"

Voilà, if someone is good at explaining dreams, here's one I've had a couple of days ago, when my fever was really high..

I'm Joanie Cunningham, the wunnnerful sister of Richie Cunningham, ya remember? From Happy Days!

Here's a pic of *me* and my family

Anyway, I'm an old Joanie who meets several years later her dear brother "Richie", also famous for being a bald director (Da Vinci Code, Appollo 13, Willow, etc).

And here's the main point of my dream: I'm mad, really mad at Richie because he never gave me a supa role in any of his movies. Me, his sister, nothing!!!!

grmmphhhhhh
Well, life is not fair!

Mega Lights :P

It's been 5 years now we attend the Fete des Megalithes every year. The 3 first years during the night and the last 2 times, on day time.
Still fantastic!
Oh nothing incredibly sophisticated, just the most pleasant village party I've enjoyed so far!

It's organised in a field of megalithes and the legend (I mean my favourite legend) says that in some ancient times, a gang of fairies were carrying big old stones to build the Mont Saint-Michel when suddenly they got so tired that they decided to rest... and finally forgot their big stones on this field :)

We had old games for kids and adults, tales with/about real giants on one corner, lil band with flute and bagpipe on the other, hams under fire during all day at the other end, craftmen from the far far past showing their talent and funny druids losing their white-ish hair during ceremonies, etc.

We loved it!

Oh except for alcool, HERE was THE main problem: cider and beer were worse than catweewee and that was a pity. (sigh)

39 versus 37

We're back in the boiling Paris; I could hardly believe my eyes when I saw temperature had reached 37°C (under the sun)!

And I'm still coughing hard, recovering from a bad bad... cold (!)
As soon as we arrived in Bretagne, I felt sick. Felt awful, sore throat and eyes, terrible headache and a temp' of 39°C for a couple of days.

Pffffff... Really, I was mad at meself for being that sick with my babes around, and just when Bretagne around was so sunny.
I "took a day off" to recover, but otherwise we manage to work pretty well in the hobbit house. Still on the walls mainly (yawn)

Now in Paris with the kids and the heat and the end of my cold, it's not fun! But again... just a couple of weeks and this time we'll have real holidays! Yeeeepeeeeeeee

On the road to join our lil friends

...

yup, on the road again, I think Shell is about to make a supa biz year with all our trips across France! :P

This time we're back to Bretagne till next Monday.
We wanna work in the hobbit house + enjoy the beach + we've a rendez-vous with a *geometer* who's going to put an official limit between some part of our garden and the one of a neighbour's. This lil joke will cost 519 euros. And I feel like peing in my pants just thinking of the price and the work that is actually required... pfffffffffffffff....

'py birthday, mama!

I think I've never known my mom in a beder shape than in the past months!
She's celebrating her 56th birthday today and I'm over happy she's doing so well, she's even much much more active than I am! lol **~~*^* **^^* ^* *

Shocked stomach!

Our weekend in Lyon was, oh, very kewl! I had the time to take my lil family around to visit the old walls and enjoy the spirit of it.
Our family gathering was much beder than I could expected. Seing all my cousins after 15 years was REALLY something! Discovering their other halfs, their kids, etc. Wawwww!

Funny, most of my female-ish cousins have changed a lot... my male-ish ones, have not!
Not fair. Well actually, very fair since the goils are even prettier ;-)

The only thing that went wrong was my attempt to try something very new (to me) in a lil restaurant: a liver cake with tomato sauce.
Well I love liver, I love cakes, I enjoy tomatoes in every way possible.

BUT, the combination of the 3 elements was terrible. First fork of it tasted like cat food. And the presentation of it was even worse than that (but very close to it)..

I'm pretty open with food and don't get often such awful surprises. But this time...
...Huuuuuu....

And what about you? Are you adventurous with food? What was the last YUCCCCKY kind of food you've had?

(allergic) eyes without a face

... the title tells everything here :P
My eyes have been so painful since 2 weeks now that I decided to go to the eyes' doc yesterday. She concluded I've a big allergy to something, but to what she can't tell (sigh)
I've a 2 months-treatment now. Kewl, I can complain again

Do I look at the world differently with my allergic eyes?
Well, somehow, yes, more shadows everywhere ;-)

Waving madly at the South :)

...We're coming we're coming!
We're living early, very early in the morning tomorrow to drive to Lyon.

© Vincent Formica / Office du Tourisme de Lyon (597)

We've a family gathering there, we actually celebrate the 60th birthday of my godmother. It's been 15 years maybe I've seen the family from my dad's side.
Last time I saw my cousins, we were still stoopid teens, now we're almost all parents, maybe all still stoopid (including me of course!). Yet, It's gonna be a shock! lol

Second shock will be the price of the weekend, very expensive hotel + fuel + highway fees. But hell, it does not happen every weekend... and for once we're not going to work on the hobbit house, this will feel like priceless heaven! ;-)

Have a great one, ya gang :-)
**~~*^* * *~~*^* *

PS: Fennelin, je ne sais même pas si tu es là ce weekend! Je te bigophone -je crois que j'ai bien ton n° de portable- si on a le temps d'échapper au noyau familial, sinon, on remet ça, ici ou ailleurs :-)

oh Wawwwww! What a purrfect place!

I enjoy movies, oh and music definatly... so when the 2 genres join together, I'm on a floating mode!
Music videos, yusss, I'm a fan of dem.
And I just could not find all those I've been looking for... till today! What a HUGE surprise!!!

On YouTube, I've found already hundreds of treasures! They really get everything and a lot more than expected (I found stuff from Pink Floyd that you'd never imagined! -faint-)

I thought about these music videos again, the other day when I watched the last Madonna's video, get together, which I find simply *wawwwwwwwwwwww-ish*!.

Croissants on the grass

I'm on my way to join m'zelle Alinet in the parc near, for the most delicious breakfast!
(with the heat and the kids, we did not see a beDer time to meet than that early)

Yeeeepeeeee!!!

(come on, tell me you're all jealous! A yummy breakfast on the grass, surrounded by a summerish Paris and in the most wunnnerful company!)

The Breakfast Club

Can you remember this one?
I enjoyed it pretty much at the time. But I'll never watch it again I think. I would hate to realize it's not fun anymore, or fookin stoopid.

Yup, so many movies that brought purrfect sensations and feelings at a purrfect time of my life. Watching these movies again would break something. Ouch!

Here's the Breakfast gang, at the time and now (eeeck ;-)

In the same way, looking at the face of my kid and teen's heroes now is often too much a shock! My heroes can't turn old and fat, they can't marry, divorce 3 times and have babies. They can't die either of course! oh no, they MUST NOT do that!

Dear Mr. Vernon, we accept the fact that we had to sacrifice a whole saturday in detention for whatever it is we did wrong, but we think you're crazy for making us write an essay telling you who we think we are. You see us as you want to see us, in the simplest terms, in the most convenient definitions. But what we found out, is that each one of us is a brain, and an athlete, and a basketcase, a princess, and a criminal. Does that answer your question? Sincerely yours,
The Breakfast Club.

Happy Freedom day...

...to the America(n people) that makes me dream (and not only talking of Capt'n Kirk and Barbarella here ;-)

And if you ask me why I Luve l'Amérique, there are about a hundred zillions of reasons that come to my mind, here are 3 of dem:

Zenitude

I've been purrrrrring hard today! And it's been wunnerful!

First it was a hot day (like 34°C), not bad huh..
Then I've found the time (thank you Martin) to paint my shark..
And on top of that, *my* radio kept playing stuff like Hotel California or a horse with no name, you know?

And I found that once again my imagination was really motivated by this American kind of summer dream... the music, the heat, the waves.
(+ the shark, naturally!)

(purrrring)

Wanna laff? ...Just click here then :-)

edit: I just realize there's a kind of opposition between my post title and the image above... lol! Typically goilish!

The difference? ... just a few centimers after all

I think Lola makes the difference now between boys and girls ;-)

(.... and I'm proud she got it! it's a purrfect beggining :P)

But I swear it!

I haven't watched footie! oh nenene!
I'm not that kind of person: the "having a Bud, watchin tv" one!
