More abandon

This time, abandon to.. dreams and rêveries, warmth, tenderness, affection.
It's more sensuous than I had intended to, but I think really that's part of my painting style, deep in me. And the more I see it, the more I discover many of my favourite themes behind.

Summer's gone?

... But can I keep the bikini close?

26°C and a supa sunny Paris, it could be worse! I've almost fell asleep on the grass yesterday! (happy sigh)
The only 2 details that reminded me it was Autumn were the lower position of the sun & the delicious grapes we've been eating all day...

Don't you love my lil Valkyrie, holding her knife?!
Both are training hard to save the World, one day. Soon! :)

Autumn shivers

Don't you feel it in the air? So many reasons to shiver with pleasure:

-Summer's still here :P

-mushrooms are back & they take me really high (no not this kind of mushrooms!)

-reading a book that is a challenge feels incredible (pushing limits!)

-seeing Martin determined to practice as many martial arts as he can! lol That's cool! I wait for him to break bricks now!

-receiving a totally unexpected feedback from 2 customers. A wonderful feedback full of emotion (fuck, I can create that! waw!)

-enjoying 2 devils that are so happy to be back @school!

-feeling physically back on top with exercise, and that brings loooots of shivers! :)

Total abandon

I'm working since a few days on a series about abandon, the desire to let yourself follow your own inspiration, desires, sensations.

I'm working on the third one of the series, another one will follow, that's sure. I want to explore abandon every way I can feel it. And I've got so positive feedback about it that of course it's motivating. Yet, the higher motivation, it's the pleasure taken, the feeling I gotta expressthis abandon . The harmony between my hands, heart & mind. Yo do not reach that point everyday, well, I don't .... so, yeah, it feels pretty good :)

Split personnalité ?

I have my own very French way of using the English language (forgive me for that, I've always kinda felt bad for the reader), a language full of lil mistakes.. but the English language has become so much part of me that when I think about something, it naturally comes in English first, most of the time! In my mind, I talk to myself in... English! lol
(whaaaat? you never talk to yourself? a pity! one of the best company you can find! Very supportive :P)

I used to find that very disturbing! English is not my mother tongue, I don't tame it perfectly at all, I don't live in an English-speaking country (far from that really! lol)... so I can't explain why it happens, but I now live with it in a most natural way.

I've noticed that French language comes more easily when it comes to food, to deeper thoughts, like when talking politics or literature for instance, English comes naturally for sex, slang, fast reactions, anger, desires, feelings (probably why I keep blogging in English now. I'm not a deep thought kind of person :P)

Well, when I gotta explain something, defend a point of view, French comes first. When I describe my paintings, much easier in English to me.
And by the way, I have my third (not so) hidden language: my hands making doodles! yeahhh! so cool!

I truly think you don't say exactly the same when using one language or the other. My own sensitivity adapts to what fits me. That's really practical.

I wish I knew 5 other languages, including music, and would switch according to what's the most appropriate!

Charlotte à la fraise (tagada)

I like this most charming Frenchie, her soft voice (just like a whisper, really!) taking me where I want when I need softer sounds. Like right now, as working on some let's say sensuous painting, it fits. I need much concentration, metal is less appropriate :P

Charlotte or Air have the same effect on me. Do you have also your soft musical oasis?

A Tuesday on the grill, à la française.

While the government spend like 7 of our millions just for poor communication, to convince 67 years-old is a right age for retirement, civil servants are back in the streets to express their disagreement.

What will come out of all that? nothing.
Retirement? Come on, right now there is so much important than that..
And I'm sorry but again common sense (like a surgeon can't work properly for 50 years!) should prevail and we should stop making one law for all. We should adapt to professions

" One for all and all for one! " really .. that only works for the three musketeers ;-)

The education system is deteriorating year after year, right. But what can I expect from the government? That it defends my own interests? those of our kids? Nope.

I don't ask my mom, who knows me very well, to decide for me... I can't ask a bunch of guys will all the powers to decide what the best for me! Nonsense.
Give me my money back... the government, whatever the political preference, from right wing, left wing will not use the money we give it with common sense (offering the best conditions to kids and teachers to share knowledge) for the sake of our kids.

The strike? ........ What's the point? Block those who have the power, who make the decisions you refuse, not us. That simply sucks.

We throw young teachers in the system like sheep in the Lion's arena. We ask teachers to make the job of the parents. And finally of course the kids and Knowledge suffer from all what the government creates.

What sucks even more is that I can't think of any way to improve the system. Education should be given more money, more means, more autonomy, much more flexibility ?

Waving goodbye to lovely Bretonie

First day back in Paris... first concert (!), first friends ("Woaaaaaaa! it's been a months I've been waiting for you", so France shouted as taking me into her arms! hehe that was sweet)... first happy times with school friends for the devils, first bonjour every 3 seconds as walking outside. Paris is truly a great city to me, warm and friendly.
But cold, shit, I need sun and heat already...

I woke up 2,3 times last night, not knowing where I was anymore. Expecting strange birds to sing, old Bretonish ghosts to move around. But I'm adjusting already.

Summertime in Bretonie was really some kind of experience. And I don't talk of the sunbaths only. A total independence. Far from the family (...), far from everything. I've discovered great neighbours, some making the best drinks, the others already keeping the devils at night sometimes, and another one always bringing food for 10 when invited! lol
Then I got the visit from dear friends there, their presence changed everything. I've spent some times of true happiness.

Comfort was limited, as I had no kitchen, nothing to make the laundry, nothing to warm up the house but the fireplace. But it was fine, perfect.

Serj gonna feed me (at least my ears :P)

I'm just back in Paname(=a familiar name for Paris), and just realised I had a ticket for some concert tomorrow! Yeah yeah!
System of a Down's singer, Serj Tankian will perform in Paris.
I saw SOAD live 7 years ago, and I'm so happy I have this opportunity! I'm very fond of his voice and involved personality.

edit: just back from a very good concert, I found that vid from it, to give ya an idea, and I chose that song because he dreamt it a few years ago when he was in Paris :)

Poor little bunny's long and painfull death

I feel very concerned by my friends' health. And there is our poor Keith who is dying and needs your support (and soup & whisky)!

He's suffering from what I call a double decease : the man flu ! Being a man AND having a cold is fatal. Well so it seems!

If you wonder what I'm talking about, Keith explained it very well with this vid' - that craked me up for it is SOOOOO true, real, etc -

Hey girls, let's burn, hey not our sexy bras, nenene, but all these little pink bunnies around! :P

The little tavern on the prairie (5 crowns!)

I had no idea what would this room become.
Suddenly it looks and feels like an old tavern, no kidding!

The old table (18th century, yeah I'm proud and I bet the table has seen lots of pretty asses! :P), the candles and oil lamps, the "ivrognier" (just the name is inspiring, I can't translate it, just know that "ivrogne"is a drunk man, an "ivrogner is some kind of old furniture in which you can put bottles). I don't have enough bottles yet. lol. Well, we have, but they never last!

There's also a Christ somewhere, I did not want him in my house. Can anyone start a petition for me? :P

Anyway, when you enter this room, you are in a tavern! You only see half of it on the pics, there's also that big fireplace in the middle of it! ... and when you start sipping your Bretonnish (or not) beverage, then you expect thieves and whores and weird creatures (like you!) anytime! I love it!

Besides, I think I beat Caroline Ingalls on her own ground (phewwwwww!): the lil tavern on the prairie sound much more cool!

My predator

I can't use my wounded finger as well since yesterday, can't stretch it at all but... I managed to finish my last painting! I'm back on the rails, and ready to paint a new world!
I've got what I wanted. I'm pretty happy with it ! So much work involved, you wouldn't believe it :)

My fix

I haven't found any pot in time to forget my lil wound the other day, but I got much better. I have Charlie not far, and as much as I need a fix of him, I believe he also needs a fix of me sometimes ;-)
Fair deal :)

Teaser #2

here's another part of my Predator's project. Can't wait to have it done! it will be made of indian black ink with a warm background in watercolour.

Sorry for the photo quality, I hate my cam and my cam hates me! :P

More of my den

I wanna show you much more of the new works done in the hobbit house, but I'd like to find first the ooold photos of how it was before. To provoke some heart attacks (and deep pride) you know :P

Here's my lil place, tiny corner, just for myself. I have my computers, my painting tools, my hairbrush, my makeup and lots of shoes hidden behind my desk. Paradise!

Hobbit house heating system

Not very cheap (this 1m3 of wood cost 85 euros .. dunno how cheap or not that is!..?), but looking good and being promising!

Some free lil hands to carry it were very welcome, I wasn't very efficient at it.

Now I have to manage to light a proper fire, which is not the case so far. Queenette of the BBQ but still slave to the fire. pfff

The conspiracy theory

My subconscious and my body joined together and organised an evil conspiracy against me!
In the worst way, they tried (and so far succeeded) to force me to some kind of ugly laziness!!!

I was getting back to work (on my painting) on Thursday, when I washed a glass which was broken. I washed it quickly with much energy and strength in the movement. Perfect for a good clean scalp. 5 seconds later a nice bit (top middle part of my index) was lying on the sink. I know I try to make it sound horrible, but it was! lol ... I could see my tendon!!!!

It bled and bled and I took a a clean rag to press it around the finger. The devils asked me if I was going to die (told you it was tragic!)

I took the car with my bloody rag at the end of my finger and drove to join family, let the kids and found medical help. Nothing could be done, the flesh and skin were in my sink. Good, no needles involved. Oh just a needle for a vaccine later.

Anyway there's a nice hole on top of my finger and it hurts whenever I try to use my hand with pressure. I don't want to wear any bandage as recommended for 3 weeks, because when I changed it yesterday, it was stuck to the flesh and it felt really bad to take it off (me poor lil thing lol)

I could show you the wound, but hey I've not crossed that limit (*reality blog*) yet. :P

Been two days now I can't do anything because of that bloody finger! I can't do just "nothing"! No, life's short so that wound should better heal very quickly, I am like a lion(ess) in cage!

grmmmphhhh!!!

Priceless reward

Been a week the devils and I are in the hobbit house. They have their bedroom and I have my corner from where I can work, update my bloggie, surf, enjoy music, be lazy, etc

I had no idea how it would feel to be here on my own, with a lack of comfort (I'm a city girl, sorry!)

It feels good, that's my reward! The devils are so happy to have their own place where they can do whatever they want, and I feel totally independent from anything. Time, family, etc. That feels great.

Now I've worked hard to get my corner's ready, think I deserve some good naps in the sun in the next days :)

But I'm proud, really of the efforts, the results.

The new level of freedom I've reached, motivating to reach other levels.

Gente damoiselle et beaux messieurs fougueux

The Fête des remparts in Dinan was really good this year. The theme was really interesting : the medieval fears (inquisitors, epidemics, banned temptation of the flesh, invasions, etc).
Too bad we had not enough time to enjoy it as much as I would have wanted.

Took the devils to some tournament, expected something average. But it was so damn good!

The weapons were not too sharp but real enough to hurt anyone who wouldn't be careful enough, the fights, the script, the "players", the horses! We had lot of fun! Lola was about in love with every knight that presented some nice long hair, Loup was crazy for the baddies (and so was I!).

At the head of the baddies, there was some English nobleman (of course! lol) who was arrogant as expected, fantastic. His horse was just like him. very impressive team, the best.

There were real fights, treachery, challenging, etc. And a very alive Lola just next to me! :D

First taste

... of my river, @7.00am

I ran for one hour, up and down the hills and along the path you see on the left. Waw you couldn't imagine all the lil animals (and huge birds) I've seen!

For a moment I thought Nessie was also in the party, I've seen strange things in the water!

It's a perfect place for running, beautiful & peaceful... yet very alive (early creatures awakening, boats starting to sail, fishermen already very active to hunt the trout, etc)

I like that. It's distracting (because just running is a bit ermmm... * yawning * )

Team work

One week of delay. I wish the hobbit house was done (the kids bedroom and my bureau). It should take 3 other days of hard work. Holidays, no kidding, I don't know what it is really. Soon I will (need) ! :-)

I just want it to be done.. So it will be done.

Thank god, some lil hands are helping a lot! :)

Exhibition

Hey girls, what's in your summer-ish hand bag?
Who cares, well I do! I guess what's in your bag might is revealing.

Mine is too big, a nightmare, a real * stomach *, it swallows everything I give it & makes it hard for me when I need something specific ! I can't find anything in it!
I can even carry my laptop in it... it's just too big!

The other day I realized I carried a bikini in it since weeks, just in case I need one! lol
I found it pretty surreal...

.. but then just the usual stuff, lots of keys , make-up, mobile, pill, etc. I can't go anywhere without my handbag of course, and apparently can't go anywhere without my bikini either!

Early birds

Days are too short, in Bretonie too!
Oh, I hate that.
I try to keep doing exercise every other day, sometimes 1 hour of musculation, the next day I run for one hour.

Took my cam the other day. I do exercise between 7.00am (or earlier when i can) and 8.00am. I wish I could do twice more.

Lovely landscape sometimes and nice companions during the run.

The Bretonish / pirate flag belongs to an old van of a terrible guy known as the "herring", terrible in its appearance, trust me.

I've never tried his crepes, probably won't. lol But he definitely belongs to the landscape :-)

Holidays à la Candles, quick news

I've arrived in tropical Bretonie a couple of days ago. With a super bad cold (sigh), got almost rid of it now.

I spend my days working on the hobbit house... By Friday I need 2 rooms to be done so the devils can sleep there and so I can have a place to work for the painting biz.

It's exhausting, working inside like for 7 hours. I stress, push myself, never sit down and relax.
LOL. Yeah, masochist me.

Soon I'll take more time outside. But when i start something and want something done, nothing stops me. Can't stop till I get satisfaction :)

I'm getting back to it, I hope to show you soon really good results of all that work & precious sweat! : )

My little Oedipus

Loup has always been very very close to me. asking for my presence since... since.... he popped out of my belly really! :P

It hasn't changed. Oh there are a lot of conflicts between he and I, that's normal. But a couple of hours ago he again started with the Oedipus stuff. That makes me laugh to see how it really happens.

He was in bad mood, shouting.
"You're all just idiots"!

me:
"Who is an idiot, and why?"

Loup:
"Well Papa & Lola are idiots....." -and then he had a upset look on the face-...... "but you're not!"

me:
"Oh! I'm not? so what am I?"

Loup:
"you're the mama of course!!!"

me:
"Ok, so, and what are you?"

Loup, grinning as whispering so that no one but me could hear:
"well...... I"m the papa !!!"

lol that was a first time he expressed it this way. That was fun. I wonder how difficult it must be in the lil head of kids when they realize that no they won't marry their papa or mama :)

Books eater

I simply don't know. I don't know, I have no idea, how I manage to find time for books , but I do! :P
(I actually never watch tv anymore, this might explain that ;-)

Right now, I want to read American or English
authors.

I need a new pile of books for endless holidays.

if I can't travel during these holidays, then I count on books to help me.

I want to discover jewels. I want to shiver (from pleasure, fear, excitement, whatever).

and really I struggle to find what's gonna be the next book! .. I'd like a good collection of clever short stories, I want fiction, History, science-fi, funny, scary, etc, I'm open!... just no thrillers, I've never been fond of the genre.

Challenge

ok, Loup hasn't broken his lil leg this time. Should be more kewl.
But hey, 8 weeks of holidays for kids... isn't that a kind of punishment for parents?

I will survive.

But it's LONG!
(does that make of me a bad mama???)

Wedding made in Bretonie

The weather was gorgeous, the bride, the most beautiful one, champagne, all fresh.. And Bretonie, so welcoming. I wish you (who're reading this) could come and share some of it one day.

Boy toy

I've got a new gadget! Enough points from the mobile provider to afford it and get rid of my stone age mobile!

Honestly, I have no idea how this lil jewel works, but it keeps tempting me with zillions of stuff.
With my 2 connected computers, my netbook and now that, I think I can't escape big brother anymore, and ... vice versa!

Do you fall for such gadgets?

Now here come the lil game... the ring tone... Loup falls for her and he is not the only one.
"Just in time", you will know.

Enough clues!
The one who find which artist is playing my ring tone wins..... a surprise made in Paris.

Bonheur absolu

A moment of total happiness (bonheur absolu) ... when I steal 15 minutes in a super busy day to enjoy the sun, a coffee, and a wonderful book.

Of course such moments never last. The books are never long enough, the sun hides often and I'm running out already.

But I will feel the benefit of these 15 minutes for the rest of my stressing day... Cheers! :)

Wedding dress :P

Well, let me correct that: this is the dress I'll wear tomorrow for my half-sister's wedding! :D
She marries tomorrow under the sunshine (yeah yeah!) of Bretonie. Will make a quickie there.

Been 6 month I have this lil dress... and you know, on the label it's written I can't wash it, except with my own inexperienced hands.

(hey it's the 21st century, ya guys! washing with my own hands?? wtf! ;-)

So I haven't dared wearing it (& having a sudden extreme desire for
strawberry ice cream for instance).

I never wear white, might feel pure and innocent with that. And much more than I don't even know. lol. I'll tell you.

Never without my notebook(s)

Do you have a good memory? I don't... But I use about 4 different notebooks and that helps! ...(some made more for sketches, some for texts), they only have to be small enough so that I can carry them with me everywhere! I need paper & pen for that. A keyboard to take notes? no way.

(do you realise I show you part of myself here? It's very intimate, almost pornographic! :P)

PS: I only realise now I almost never take notes in French! How weird is that!?!

Petit teasing

Next work will be made of watercolours and Indian ink, it should simply be about summer's twilight. There will be different characters, with 2 central ones.

I really want to use again the Predator creature as a first visual basis for the woman, because visually (but not only) it rocks to me :)

wild, strong, tragic, erotic, vibrant, seductive and playful... everything but classic**

Brutal Polluters

I'm not very much a *green* one. I mean I'll rather wear a "Kill 'em all" tshirt than a "save the planet" one. Yeah that sucks somehow, but that's how it is. I'm not a green Pasionaria (pasionaria = a woman who actively defend a cause), some do it so much better than I do.

I'm pretty much human, with life priorities (yeah... *that* does not sound very human ;-). Respecting what surrounds me. Trees or human beings, whatever.

What can I tell about BP.

I want to visit Louisiana and Florida. I will.
I just hope people there will be careful enough with what is coming from the see. Gotta protect themselves.

If I ever had the opportunity I would get a plane ticket to... help cleaning the beaches there. Not for *green* purpose, just because I am selfish. I want *my* lil planet to stay clean and welcoming. I want to run into the waters of Florida (you sharks would better stay away from my fat lil bum!), I want to dance on the sands of Louisiana.

I want.

.. told you, I'm not a planet saviour, I'm just a woman caring for her own happiness. How bad does that sound??

Ken Follett

I was pretty sceptical when I read the first part of his last book. I have not finished it yet.
And I don't want.

Ken is a genius.

Look into my eyes

...and tell me, you do have a toothache!

You don't, are you sure?

Well, yesterday I had some deep pain, with headache, pain in the ear and throat. I'm already visiting my dentist for another tooth problem, then this new one appeared. Fuck.

Tell me, you do feel pain somewhere in the mouth!

I can't believe my parents made me with such bad teeth (yeah that sounds SO sexy! hehe)... Or is it God punishing me? It must be.
Oh but wait, my lil teeth are very cute and pretty, it's just that some of them have no resistance to sugar. Just the way I am... with sugar too! lol

My new pain was not fake. My dentist wondered how I could even sleep with that pain.
Sigh. I don't know either!

(come on, there's a lil tooth that bothers you right now I'm sure!)

What hurts me the most... the biggest injury I mean, here, is money. I know people do know complain about that openly, but fuck, I do if I want :P
Spending money for that when I'd need to spoil my babes, a new computer, eventually paying gaz and electricity. Yeah, that sucks.

Pffff.

Gotta add that usually I don't mind painkillers shots, but yesterday it was SO painful. Merde! Really felt tears coming. I hate that.

The amazing thing is that after sharing my pain with my sister, she started feeling real toothache! (and still does)

In the next hour my niece broke a teeth :(

Well, if God was not a perv, if he did not have a twisted mind when he created us, he would have done something for the teeth!

(Amen?
-> Achoo!)

PS: the English fairy tooth is our french lil mouse who comes to take the fallen teeth put under the cushions :)

talking to the Chocoholics, here...

Come on, there must be at least ONE chocoholic around here! I won't ask you to quit, keep getting your chocolate fixes -I do exactly the same - :P

I've wanted to try something unique since the other day.
And the chocoholic in you is going to be jealous, I warn you :)

I saw this guy on tv, Patrick Roger... a chocolate magician. I have no word to express how much his chocolates are a temptation. Because I could follow the process of creation, the passion involved, the talent put in every of them!
Nothing industrial, based on the very best products. This guy creates magic chocolates. You'll bite them, suck them and then you'll *know* Heaven will be close.

I've experienced that today.
I had to.
I was a bit nervous, would I be disappointed?

Some are looking for crazy experiences, I look for my own ones.

Earlier today I've bitten some chocolate from there, made of basil and lemon.

I was to die from pleasure.

I highly recommend you to never resist this kind of temptation... I could feel the difference (on so many levels) between a chocolate and his chocolate.

Sense(s) & sentisitivity

Lola and I understand each other of course.

Lola: "Mom, what do you think of Aslen?
Me (not knowing really who's the lil boy): "Oh! hm.. he's pretty kewl, I think! ... why do you ask?"

Lola: "Well, it's just that I don't know if I'll marry him or not.

But you see, mom... he was sweating earlier, and he put his hand in his hair and after.... he looked SO cool!

Besides, he is totally in love with me!!!
"

haha... sweaty guys have something huh!
Can't believe my lil girl already noticed that! :P

Lulu on a toast sauce Moukmouk

Last week, I really had a fine time with a few ol' bloggers friends! (waving @Dr Caso, Moukmouk, Mel', and Lune)
I've met some I had never met before, but the meeting confirmed what I knew from them since years! :)

We've been to our *cantine* which was really perfect... So good! And always so friendly there :)

I've had there the foie gras of my life!
So so perfect!

If one of you (whistling) ever plans to come to Paris.... I take you there, you'll reach some part of Heaven, trust ol' Candy! :)

A perfect moment that make you repeat again and again that the internet is so much "real life" ! or maybe a bit better -who knows- !

ya can't fool a mom!

Well actually you can.
How many lies did I tell to my mom when I was a kid (and ok, I still lie to her sometimes! Sounds like normal! Hey, she's my mom, not my BFF!)

I think she did not notice all these lil lies I used to say to have the time of my life on weekends... and I hope I won't noticed my devils' lil lies, otherwise.... I'll reach a super high level of stress!
I know what teenager are made of, I've been one of them!

Anyway my devils are still babes, but they can't fool me yet! Mwahaha !

Tonight I was to read them a lil bedtime story.
Loup said he was too tired for that (I instantly got suspicious)
Then I saw Lola hiding a big book under their blanket (they sleep together at the moment).
I had heard them whispering 5 minutes earlier (they're never really discreet!).. Loup had asked Lola to read this book once I'd be gone.

So, well, I started reading their bedtime story for 2 minutes.
Loup was strangely smiling all the time at me (I was laughing inside!)
Then they kicked me out of the bedroom. I knew they had a plan, I knew they had a lil torch lamp under their cushion.

I loved it :)))

R.I.P : my artblog is dead.

Long live my art site !

Do you use in English "Le roi est mort. Vive le roi!" ? Ok not on a daily basis, lol, not many kings anymore around, huh.. but do you ever use that expression?

It's been, omg I don't even dare mentioning how long it took me... It's been like 7 months I've started working on my new website. Took me that long.

And really I've put it online but it's not even finished yet. Still many texts to write, features to add, etc. But I had to make it alive. I really had to.

I made it as simple as possible (which usually makes everything more complicate in back office ;-) -thank you Martin for all the help when I was like stuck in a thick technical fog!-
I made the site looking like me, quite passionate. Ok, it's a more sensuous approach too... Sex sells, ok, and sex is not that bad at the end :)

lol, oh well, I don't need to justify my new sexy paintings anyway!

I really hope you like it. I think it's easy to check all the paintings. Easy to buy. Easy to enjoy the gallery.
And there will be many more features to come (if you have any suggestion by the way... you're most welcome!)

(pssst do you think it's a good excuse to have champagne? Oh I wish!)
